Sing wasn't great, but I'm not sure if I'd call it actively bad. More like briefly entertaining mindless fluff.
I'm sad they wasted the potential of the ending, though. In the hands of a better writer, the climax could have included the gang, the mobsters, and the police all somehow mixed up in the performances at once and had a descent into glorious cartoon buffoonery for a couple of minutes.

The actual ending is basically "escaped-from-jail gang member shows up, then leaves; cops show up, then leave; mobsters show up, then leave (with one of the main characters)". You can probably see why I consider that a waste of potential.
