Have to agree. Personality fit the profile much better than Sean Connery.

His movies may not be the best, but Pierce really nailed who Bond is and should be imo.

Ikr. Sean Connery turned the movies into more of a Louis and Costello film, whereas Brosnan was much more hardcore. But then again, I guess you can chalk up some of that to when the movies came out, and how Hollywood has changed with the times.

Golfinger, The Spy Who Loved Me and Goldeneye are rewatchable as fuck. Not saying the others aren't good. Just those stand out for me.
