Ducktales and Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck exist due to Donald.
Donald was an enjoyable and useful character in Kingdom Hearts.
Many fantastic Mickey Mouse and Disney works include Donald, from the new shorts to classics to House of House.

I'm going to have to give this one to Daffy.

Donald never struck me as really being funny, more like a guy funny things happened to

Daffy on the other hand was the funny guy doing funny things, in his own cartoons at least, if he was in a second banana role to Bugs then he took a more Donald like role in just being the grumpy guy who gets bested sure but in his own cartoons he was the funny one

For me, it is Daffy, the best cartoon duck

Comics: Donald
Cartoons: Daffy

Always and forever Daffy, but I will say I hold a special place in my heart for Quack Pack

This.

Carl Barks Donald best Donald.

This guy is objectively correct. The Merrie Melodie comics were never good and didn't feature Daffy much anyway. Never understood why. Plenty of Porky and Bugs but not Daffy?

Daffy started out as the super wacky 'woo woo' duck. I'm fairly sure he started the screwball archetype. All the Clampett Daffy's are classic.

Chucks interpretation of Daffy as the jealous schemer is great too. Very wry and deadpan. Not sure why he made such a radical change to the character when there was already one temperamental duck out there. Some say cartoon characters reflect the personalities of their directors...

As for Donald, he just got frustrated and did his angry hop.

I like both

I was gonna post this

Warner Bros were better at cartoony animated shorts but I love the Disney comics

This.

>red lantern vs orange lantern

What if I like Scrooge?

Dolan. Eh s a funi guy. Lods of jokes.

>got frustrated and did his angry hop.

Hehe

As for Op, Donald.

Daffy has nothing going for him but duck dodgers. Donald duck is funny and a cultural icon. Hell, he was more beloved than Mickey at some point.

As a kid, I preferred Daffy. As an adult, I prefer Donald. I feel like this should be a fairly shared experience.

He still is, depending on where you live.

Nobody gives two shits about Mickey Mouse in Scandinavia.

Donald, atleast in comic form.

One has anger management issues, the other is just an asshole.

Does this mean for perfect Sup Forums harmony, "both" is the correct answer?

Daffy. Could never understand a damn word Donald said.

After what a complete piece of shit he is in Kingdom Hearts I can't stand donald.

Excuse but he is canonically a green lantern.

Does anyone know where to watch funny old Looney Tunes?

Daffy is really a fun character. Nothing against Donald, but Imma go with Daffy.

I'm a comics guy so Donald for sure.

Donald for me. I really like how angry he is and how much of an asshole he can be, though he has a soft side every now and then. Just like real ducks.

...

Donald is arguably the only Disney character that can come close to Warner Bros. levels of cartoonery.

Duck Dodgers is the only incarnation of Daffy I like more than Donald.
It that's not valid, then Donald>Daffy.

...

why is the Dodge Viper logo upside down at the right?

This desu
Daffy fucking sucks

>Donald was an enjoyable and useful character in Kingdom Hearts.

I hate 18yos so much.

I don't think anyone likes Mickey more than Donald. The only interesting thing Mickey has is some cool detective stories.

I've always been a Warner Brothers kind of guy. But that said, Donald is just about the best Disney character.

There's no way you can't call them both cultural icons.

They aren't.

I guess I didn't account for lying.

It's true though. Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse are both cultural icons, Daffy and Donald aren't.

Donald, but then I've always been a Disney person over Looney Tunes in general.

I prefer dry sarcasm Daffy over loon Daffy too.

Just because two characters are more iconic doesn't mean they aren't. Both of them are probably the second character anyone thinks of when you mention their series.

No they arent. They're like the 4th character you would think of for each series.

>Bugs and _____
If Daffy doesn't come next in your mind, you're a liar.

As for Mickey, an argument could be made for Minnie, but otherwise Donald takes it easily.

Im a Donald man, his hissy-fits are hilarious to me.
I do like Daffy too, just not as much.

Donald duck is a WWII war hero, but he was clearly changed from the experiance. No longer the happy go lucky duck he is now quick to anger. Clearly he has PTSD and all his friends and relatives simply mock or shun him whenever his demons get the better of him!

Daffy lived through the same horrors but he has managed to leave the horrors of war behind him and dealt with anny issues that steems from the war, therefore he is the superior duck!

>If Daffy doesn't come next in your mind, you're a liar.
I'm not lying, you act like he's the only other memorable Looney Tune character when there's like a shitton of others that come to mind.

Asking me to choose between Daffy and Donald is like asking me to choose between my left and right testicles.

The argument isn't "there no other memorable characters," it's that Daffy isn't the clear number 2 in the series, but he is.

But that doesn't make him a cultural icon. He won't ever be.

Well you'll just have to let everyone else know that. I'll be sure to direct them to a contrarian fuck on the internet so they know.

Some people would go Goofy but I agree with you.

Why wouldn't you pick the left one?

Donald. His anger speaks to me and is amusing all at once.

Kill yourself.

Daffy is a jerk
Donald is a Red Lantern

Take that back.

I was going to go with Donald, but on reflection, this one.

I'm with Howard.

Daffy is funnier but Donald has some development and an odd sense of reliability behind him.

Both great for different reasons.

Who was behind the earlier more batshit insane Daffy? Anyone know when/why they changed him to be more of an angry idiot?

My guess is because they filled the "wacky" role with other characters as needed. Him being a vindictive number 2 to Bugs was rich territory.
