That's the rallying cry of climate alarmists, these days. Why does it seem like everyone (falsely) believes the globe is heating up? I'm tired of seeing charts, like pic in link below, that rely on faulty models that, for no reason, trend exponentially upward or worse... falsified data. I corrected the trend (in red) according to the KNMI model datasets (which details a flatline from 2000 to 2016 at approximately +0.25degC).
Scientists should endeavor to find the true cause in climate changes, not rely on politicized think tanks that only churn out reports politicians want. Nothing should be "settled" for a scientist. Everything is suspect. Am I wrong, Sup Forums?

The climate will change a little, but it won't be a runaway apoloclyptic warming trend.
Everything we do has an effect on the world around us. The question is why we should consider that a bad thing. More CO2 in the atmosphere means faster plant growth, stronger ecosystems. Warmer temperatures will actually expand temperate zones while having just a minor effect on polar ice (those environments are well below 0, a slight temp increase will not melt them)
So there will be some good, and some bad. Just like with anything we do. The world is here for us, not some nature god. We change the world with our every footstep, and there's nothing wrong with that.

That really made me think! On a geological time scale, world is cooling and we are still coming out of an ice age but from the record are becoming more common.
Eventually earth will cool into a lifeless rock and with its atmosphere blown away into space man will no longer need to worry about that consciousness thing. AGW is an obvious hydrocarbon grab by the powers that be, a new age religion really. There will always be religious people and their priests, climate priests in this case with their doomsday prophecies. There is nothing new under the sun.
