it's like these liberals don't look at the adverse affects of raising the wage and don't look at easier alternatives like lowering income tax

If you want to pay somebody 15/hour, nobody stops you from doing so. Start your own buisness/become CEO and pay how much you want

Raising the hourly wage for a giant company by, lets say $5, completely dwarfs the CEO's pay.

Do some math, bitches love math.

You can't liquidate Starbucks assets to pay its employees more.

>corporation makes $1 million per year
>Government forces minimum wages to increase
>Corporations increase minimum wages, increase prices to compensate
>Everyone pays more, extra money doesn't help the poor, since they're the ones who notice the price increase first
>Corporations still make $1 million in a year

Minimum wage should be abolished to promote competition.

Just look at Singapore and how companies compete on wages which satisfy the end user.

Minimum wage was a mistake.

OP is a giant faggot that doesn't know corporate finance or simple business algorithms.

small business profit margins will suffer more.
this is why corps back min wage hike
dont be a kike

What kind of drooling retard puts this image together and says "Yeah, this makes sense, this looks good"?

the divisive rhetoric in this country is enough to drive a man to madness. you literally can't afford to live in brooklyn on minimum wage, that's fucking insane. minimum wage should increase reasonably as long as cost of living does, but it's just barely inching along. But set the minimum wage somewhere between 10 and 11 dollars, 15 is ridiculous for small businesses (who should be exempt in the first place).

>JC Penny currently employs 105,000 people
>Let's assume only half are the ones working minimum wage (In reality it's probably closer to 85%)
>52,500 people x $5/hr raise = $262,500/hr
>Multiply by 30 (hours per week for part-time emlpoyees), then 4 (month), then 12 (year)
>$378,000,000
I wasn't aware JC Penny was so profitable it had a spare half-billion laying around.
