How many times have you seen Blade Runner? I'm going to watch it a second time this week.
How many times have you seen Blade Runner? I'm going to watch it a second time this week
3
it gets worse ever viewing
I've seen it twice and I would gladly go out and see it at least two more times.
Only because I know JOi's love isn't real
>But it was real on the first viewing
Seen it 5 times already
3 more and it'll top my favorite film(gonna be hella easy since its kino af) of all time inception
Twice, still thinking about the parallels between Luv kissing K like Wallace kissed the replicant he guts I noticed the second time
Also Luv was getting gifs painted on her nails during the space missile assault
Once. Waiting for BD now.
>af
I realize you're b8ing for cheap (You)s but that was just uncalled for.
I've already seen it twice.
Only once because poorfag wagecuck.
just the once, so far. been too busy to see it a second time.
Is it as good on the 2nd and 3rd time?
booked my second viewing for tomorrow morning, have to drive for 30 minutes to a quieter theater
>mfw completely empty theater except me
Was going to see it a second time last night, and in IMAX this time, but ended up not getting to go at the last minute. Really sucks, hopefully I can catch it sometime next week.
just once and I think that's enough
it's not that great of a movie to justify another viewing
I actually saw it with a good friend pretty much a high quality as FUCK theater with great sound quality and perfect seats..
only other people were a nice old couple cuddling.
Sucks that the movie isn't getting huge numbers. I don't think its perfect but its better then a lot of other stuff out there.
Are in America? I've only watched it once (UK) but the huge screen was completely full up, and this was yesterday
Are you*
Nice fanfiction movie.
Shallow when compared to the original and pretty gay for 95% of its 19h of runtime.
any UK robot wanna pay for me to go see it you at IMAX?
kek, the BFI IMAX is completely booked up and its an overrated screen anyway
imagine being this much of a faggot
Once, the first showing last Thursday. Was gonna go again Monday but a friend asked me to wait til later in the week. Then later in the week turned into 'Saturday' and my urban theater is a fucking zoo during the weekend so i dont think i'd like to see it again that way. He thinks I'm weird or anal or whatever but this film needs silence, not hood commentary. So I'm gonna go again later or tomorrow.
>Shallow when compared to the original
lol, it's cute you think the original was deep, it wasnt
Yea it was beautiful, iconic, simple noir tale with a meaningful central conceit, but no deeper than 2049 in any meaningful way, unless you'd like to explain
you know you wanna ;')
This, I never go see a movie twice in theaters.
>tfw already saw it and now i dont have anyone that will see it again with me so id have to go alone
sent :^)
own it man, own it, its only as awkward as you make it out in your head
besides, having your own, personal thing is good for you
Seeing it for the first time today since I'm finally given a day off. Should I get hyped? How do I prepare for this?
once, I'm going to watch it again tomorrow and again on sunday on imax
2 times, this saturday will be my 3th.
Okay then? What the fuck is with you sad sacks? Alone is the only way I ever go see movies, it's fucking great.
Watched it last Friday and watched it again today at an 11 30 AM showing at AMC with a cheap beer and the ending is amazing.... Such a KINO movie
Gonna watch it for 3th time. After that, I will wait for the next sequel of Blade Runner 2049:
Blade Runner 2079
Josh?
My friend blueballed me by making me wait until Friday to go see it, I have no one else to go with and I'm too cheap to pay to see a movie twice
I need the what I expected vs what I got meme please
I want to see it again in IMAX
>Should I get hyped?
No
>How do I prepare for this?
By watching Blade Runner before going to the cinema, drink a Red Bull and keep your eyes and ears open and DONT turn off your brain.
Enjoy the film, user.
expected: shit
got: kino
Twice in imax, both matinee showings with crowds of around 15 ppl. Listened to score over a dozen times.
>unless you'd like to explain
Sure.
It wasn't super philosophical, but it was deep because it was so subtle in exploring the central, religious theme.
What makes us human? Are we born with a soul or do we create it with our actions? What is our relation to our maker? What is our place in the world?
The original Blade Runner shows us that whoever or whatever can act or think in a way that transcends its nature (by means of sacrifice, great actions and ambitions or sense of poetry) is deserving of a soul.
The new Blade Runner is a standard messianic story of the chosen one and about the awakening of a mindless slave. There's literally hundreds of movies that have the same plot and many of them have better story telling.
Also, the old one was braver and more depressing. It basically says that the replicants are better than humans in every way except for their lifespan (that was limited on purpose). They are stronger, smarter and they take their freedom because they know they deserve it. They achieved humanity with their actions, but they transcend it because they are better made. They are better than us. Being made by an inferior being that can't fix its own creation makes them extremely tragic figures. You soak this luciferian narrative on the whole new level.
In the new Blade Runner replicants are basically a minority that we should pity and that should enjoy all the civil rights that is their BIRTHRIGHT. They are inferior to us in the sense that they are jealous of our fragile yet fertile bodies. They are unfinished creatures, disabled and barren and their hopes and dreams revolve around family, biology and being included in society. They are looking for their roots and the religious narrative that would support it. Fuck that. It's clearly an evolutionary step back.
At least that's my opinion on it.
3 times. My friend manages the California theatre in Berkeley. So I get a private screening in an almost entirely empty theatre with a handful of friends.
Seeing it again next Tueday. Another pivate screening. Might see it this weekend in imax.
I feel like I have to see and pay for it in imax because I've seen it 3 times for free.
>I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. I've seen Blade Runner 2049 three times. Three times I watched pink holo-tits glitter in the dark near the end of the movie. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.
By the fourth time Joi and Luv fade into the background. There is only new Pris. Always new Pris.
>BFI
I booked it their next week watched it 3 times already but at a smaller screen in curzon and an okay screen at cineworld leicester square
You're just making shit up.
Souls and religion. Lol.
K wasn't even a chosen one. That was the whole point. He was utterly unremarkable. Did you walk out in the middle of the movie or something?
Pinocchio doesn't need this sort of explication. Leave your baggage at the door.
>Souls and religion. Lol.
Are you seriously saying Blade Runner ("more human than human" TM) isn't about human nature and what supposedly makes us different from other beings? That something is "soul", which is a religious concept. It doesn't matter whether you are religious or not. I'm not talking about a specific religion here.
>K wasn't even a chosen one.
Yes, and most of us knew it from the beginning. It would be kind of obvious if it were him, so they did the next obvious thing - a plot twist. How clever and unexpected...
But it doesn't matter that it wasn't him. There WAS a chosen one in the movie.
And what makes the chosen one special? Birth. LOL
But lulz aside, you are a retard if you don't see another obvious religious motif here. Humans praise those born from virginal conception, but replicants being artificial humans, praise those born from fucking like animals.
They did awesome job with her. She's so Pris! Also the new old Rahcel, holy shit that was the best scene in the movie!
