What did he mean by this?
What did he mean by this?
This film made me so fucking mad
It was a visual master piece
He wanted to stare at Kidman's ass.
I'm still not completely clear on which generic looking hooters girl was which. There was the OD girl in Pollock's bathroom, the hooker with the walk up apartment, the girl who saves him at the party and the dead girl. The party saviour and the dead girl are the same one. Was she the OD girl, or the hooker? Were they all the same girl?
OD girl I think
>What did he mean by this?
That 2001, ACO, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and EWS takes place in the same universe.
But for a mind blow, watch 2001, the shining and EWS at night back to back and watch at last Room 237.
I made a yt video on the symbolism and meaning of the movie had had over 1 millions views, but my channel got shut down feelsbadman
>That 2001, ACO, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and EWS takes place in the same universe.
Could you elaborate?
they were all filmed by Kubrick on the planet Earth. this is heavily documented, look it up
That's what Pollack wants him to think. But just prior to the big think scene in the poolroom, Dr Bill learns that the hooker has HIV and may never come back, from wherever we never learn where. He seems to think she was the dead girl whose body he viewed, until Pollack gives him the suggestion it was OD girl. At that moment, Stanley obviously gave Dr. Bill a direction to freeze and signal by facial gesture a confusion or resistance to the suggestion. Sydney completely steals that sequence. The whole thing is a hypnosis session. Convince Dr. Bill its all harmless perverts and not a grand cabal of dark forces.
I don't trust the credits to straighten it out. The girls are so nearly identical.
The monolith explains everything!
Obviously you haven't seen them
I dreamed I fucked Nicole kidman the night I watched this. Pretty amazing desu; it felt real.
I think I watched it. Your voice is annoying.
oh.
films ive never managed to finish because it never hooked me so i fell asleep somewhere around the 40 minute mark general?
Kubrick is the Rick and Morty of kino, you need a high IQ to undertand it. I suggest you watch something like Dude, Where's My Car? instead.
Lots of art with depth requires you to take in the whole thing before making judgements. Can be applied to film, songs, albums, TV series...
yeah i still dont know what the plot is about. theyre in a big house and theres a party, nicole suspects our boy tom to be cheating on her. wow
>nicole suspects
smdh you no nothing.
Bill and Alice attempt to pre-emptively get cheat revenge because they both think the other is unfaithful. It starts with the party. When tey get high later, she accuses Bill of wanting to fuck the models, and we are to believe she is sincerely jealous. Then she cooks up this Naval Officer fantasy to get back at Bill. It works. It completely fucks his head. He figures, fuck her, if that's how she wants to play it, I can find something of my own. That sets all the weirdness into action. Many perspectives on infidelity and marriage are introduced. Marriage as chattels, marriage as excuse to reproduce, marriage as orgy ticket, etc. At the end, Bill stuck his dick into nobody, and Alice practically sleeps through the whole thing. Pollack hypnotizes Bill into believing that the world is still innocent and harmless, nothing to see here. So the last line is Alice saying "we need to fuck." Their naive idea of faithful marriage based on monogamous love is saved. Their eyes are wide shut.
This is a Christmas movie, btw.
>but my channel got shut down
Couldn't hide your power level?
>Dude, Where's My Car
It's on of the greatest comedys of it's era. But alas you need a high IQ to understand it.
Just kidding man. I didn't watch it.
Wet dreams are the realest dreams
Nah, I was a reply channel, all reply channels got purged.
thanks for the explanation. i dont want to finish or give it another try
>christmas movie
family man with nicolas cage is a christmas movie. i love time loop movies
Who was red cloak? Was he the Hungarian man Alice danced with?
It could be, but there's no way to know. If it helps, than yeah. I always thought red cloak was of F. Murray Abraham. It's not. Tri-corner hat is Sydney Pollack. Whatever the character is. Nick I think.
I was more jazzed about it than but not enough to do a truly autistic deep dive.
I wonder how many times he made her do the opening scene?
this is not a complete kubrick picture, he showed it to warner jews, cruise and kidman on march 1st 1999 and then (((died))) 6 days later, the premiere was in July and there was still a lot of editing and makeovers to do. just imagine what the jews did to the movie in between march and july. go look it up. cruise and nicole were so disgusted by the whole thing they eventually divorced. this is not a kubrick film because he was famous as a madman who kept editing his films all the time until the premiere.
Can we get more films with casual cmnf nudity, and full bushes?
>bush
yuck
