Sunshine is kino for about the opening two-thirds of the movie.

Noone posted the newest Star Trek series STD?

Check out the webm the ship fucking spins!!!!!

I came buckets when I saw this in the show because the creators said they wanted the ship to work like a fidget spinner which are really cool with the 19-29 demographic!

...

>Solaris
>2002 version

God, finally someone else likes that movie as much as me.

Is your video supposed to show how Gene Roddenberry is rolling in his grave from that failed abortion you call Star Trek?

Remember all those times in Star Trek people ran around stabbing and eating each other?

Yea neither do I, I guess your STD wont even get the chance to go viral.

Children of Men. It's so kino you just have to see it

This.

>hurrrr durr orville is better

FUCK YOU, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!!
STD IS BETTER!!! Your just too stupid to know that because you like shit scifi kino you fucking piece of trash, you human garbage!

This pic proves Orville is cheap as shit. Look how many effects are on STD, lensflares, the back is dark and moody to reflect how grim the future is. The camera is tilted showing how tense it is. Look at your bottom picture, your shit shot cant even afford effects, I can clearly see everything on the screen like it was made in the 1990's when everyone hated tv.

>no-one said moon

im so glad that over-rated piece of shit has been completely forgotten

>- 2001: A Space Odissey

This is genuinely dogshit

kys
A.I. and Akira belong

Ex Machina
Moon

>someone else likes that movie as much as me
thank goodness, shit taste isn't infectious

how bad does the orville suck that you have to aggressively market it like this? still haven't seen it but now i'm honestly worried, you faggots are making me cringe every time i see anything about star trek.

Season 1 of Star Trek TOS is amazing Kino.

Tron Uprising
Legion
Mr Robot
Almost Human

Is animu allowed? Magnetic Rose was pretty fantastic.

George Lucas's best film. Only neckbeards would disagree.

THIS

Well it was co written and edited by Walter Murch, so I should hope so

Pacific Rim

Ignore the Orville troll, any fan of orville is missing out on the hottest scifi non stop action to hit the screen since TNG went off the air and Im taking about Star Trek Discovery which is on CBS all access in America, and Netflix around the world.

Tune in or get left in the digital dust!

>pic related
Proof that Discovery is the best SciFi ever made, look at the klingons, their wearing more prosthetics than any actor in scifi history which is why Discovery is better and everyone likes to talk about in on social media so join the conversation today!

First two seasons of BSG

*ahem*

Did you know on STD they talked about Elon Musk because he is one of the smartest people on earth? I dont see your dumb show doing anything even close to the brilliance that is inspiring millions around the world on STD.

Orville doesnt even have merch, why bother watching a show everyone hates.

The Thirteenth Floor (1999)

Total Recall (1990)

Back to the Future Trilogy

KINO each and every one.

- Predestination
- Dark City
- Existenz
- Gattaca
- Back to the future
- GITS (1994)
- Avalon
- Terminator 2
- Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind

what about the tarkovsky version?

Orville isnt that bad, at least I like it.

Its weirdly more scifi than I thought it would be with so much thought out like an autist made it, or maybe Seth Mcfarlane is an autist, who knows.

Armond White called the new Blade Runner a rip-off of this.

why the fuck isn't this the first thing mentioned

all sci fi movies started here
are there any other from that era of filmmaking?

What if Elon Musk appears on STD?

That will cement STD as the greatest kino ever made and the most scifi since it would have a real scientist on it.

Damn it, how did i forgot about this one. It´s a fucking master piece.

The Wrath of Khan is the only Star Trek worth mentioning in this thread.

Also, only Tarkovsky's version of Solaris is valid.

I was about to say moon. I liked it, but I'm not film buff

>Orville isnt that bad
Thats a nice way of saying its the worst show ever made and all the critics hate it which proves STD is better you brainlet.

What about the one with the whales

he also blatantly got plot details wrong as well as mixed up characters in his 'analysis' of 2049, to push a political narrative that suits him

so i doubt it

It was ok, not masterpiece

I know I'm gonna get permabanned but I'd also say Cowboy Bebop

The Avengers 2

The skin I live in
2010:A sapce odissey

Event Horizon
I am Legend (with alternate (book) ending)

Tron (the original too)
Predator
Predator 2
eXistenZ
District 9
Dredd
Rollerball
Metropolis (1927)
The Fifth Element
and yeah the first Matrix only

>Also, only Tarkovsky's version of Solaris is valid.

Why?

TNG had Einstein, Hawking and newton together in ONE (1(I)) scene

Predestination

...

im pretty sure at least one of those as an actor

>tfw 99% of flicks posted ITT are pure mindless schlock

>Ctrl+F
>Sunshine
>1 Match
Wew lads

Both Solaris adaptations mentioned are utter shit and miss the point of the book by at least a parsec

yeah no need to repost. and the third act was stupid af ruined the movie for me. they shuda all just crashed into the sun or something instead.

>Event Horizon

Finally someone mentioned this. Took long enough. Tip of the hat user.

Logans Run is pretty Kino.

So that's the only metric by which a movie can be good? I like the book too but they're just different stories.

Day the Earth Stood Still
Invaders from Mars
Forbidden Planet
Planet of the Vampires
First Man into Space
Quatermass Experiment

50s sci fi is fun

>Tip of the hat user.
faggot

>critics like it
>implying that proves anything other than how deep the producer's pockets are

There is litetally no movie in this thread that qualifies more than pic related

what kind of stupid cunt thinks under the skin qualifies more than 2001 to be a sci-fi movie?

So is 99% of Sci-Fi

yes, it's the brainlet genre

Hard to be a god and under the skin
aka the only good sci-fi released this decade

>sci-fi
This is how I know you are an uncultured swine.

...

dont you mean 99% of everything is bad?
also, most sci fi isnt kino, but its still head and shoulders above the other crap hollywood spews out. go watch some madea you mong.

compelling imagery

>but its still head and shoulders above the other crap hollywood spews out
it's really not

back into the trash you go

sci-fi is a pleb genre even though it could be non-stop kino

>le

The Forbidden Planet

I like it too, but more for trying to figure out what everything was supposed to represent than the movie by itself.

There's lots of good sci-fi like 2001 and Solaris, but most of the genre like Star Wars and Star Trek is complete shit and is the literally the lowest form of film-making possible.

Gattaca
Stalker
Avalon

eXistenZ
13th floor
Dark City
Strange Days

the movies listed here are pretty much all good. im not referring to syfy show of the week or avengers bullshit.

they are pretty much all just forgettable entertainment with little to no artistic value.

>Star Trek
you be careful what you say boy

This. Stuff like Close Encounters and Blade Runner are the exception not the rule.

all Star Trek movies are shit - the series has a bunch of great episodes though

well they had to hollywoodize them but theyre still fun af

La Jetée

Arrival
Interstellar

>Interstellar
>>>r/movies

Solaris
STALKER
Videodrome
Johnny Mnemonic
Strange Days
Terminator
RoboCop
Escape from New York
Primer
Metropolis
The Day the Earth Stood Still

All I can think of that was missing. And no question mark on Thing or Matrix. Both were unforgettable examples of the genre.
