Let's see your top films of 2017 so far

let's see your top films of 2017 so far

Have you seen the movie 'Subtlety'?

>implying there are any good ones

boss baby was a genuinely fun movie if your watching it with your lil bros or nephews

>mother!
>Beauty and the Beast
>King Arthur
>They Come Ar Night
Complete shit list

Blade Runner 2049. That is all

I haven't seen many movies this year
Blade Runner 2049
Good time
Kizumonogatari: Reiketsu
Dunkirk
Logan
Alien Covenant
I'd rank them in that order.

le contrarian negro face

1. Thelma
2. Killing of a Sacred Deer
3. The Square
4. Blade Runner 2049
5. Good Time

Didn't care for any of the other flicks this year.

Boss Baby
Fast8
Lost City of Z
Okja
Transformers The Last Knight
Good Time
Three Bilboards outside Missouri

Wind River was the only one I'd rate 7/10 or above so far. I don't go to the cinema though so this only includes stuff that's online already

where have you already seen Killing of a Sacred Deer and the Square?

The Square is out in my country, and I got to see Killing of a Sacred Deer at a film festival.

the only good films I've seen this year are Blade Runner 2049 and Your Name. which technically isn't even a 2017 film

1. Logan
2. Koe no Katachi
3. Blade Runner 2049
4. John Wick: Chapter 2
5. King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

Spider-Man Homecoming is the worst film I've seen so far this year.

It seems like one of those films that you'd only ever watch on a long-haul flight

lucky

...

Dunkirk
wind river

that is it

I haven't seen Get Out because my black friends told me not to.

Didn't current year man already make that joke?

>Logan
>Alien Covenant
two of the worst I saw this year along with Transformers

Split and Lost City of Z were OK. I enjoyed GOTG2 but that's like saying a big Mac is 'good'. Haven't seen Dunkirk, Blade Runner or the new apes movie yet but I'd imagine they're decent. It's been a fucking terrible year.

The Emoji movie

Yes I agree, but that list is all of the movies I've seen this year and I ranked them as such.

Haven't seen many movies
I only like 2049

Because of my location I haven't had the chance to watch all of the 2017 movies that I want to watch yet so the current list is very poor except for one to four.

>Logan at 8
>boss baby, beauty and the bad cgi, and King Arthur on this list

Haha nice try moron

>actually watching artistically devoid modern film when there is an absolutely massive catalogue of real film already out there from the golden ages for you to enjoy

Degenerate.

Shitty year.
The only acceptable movies were:
BR2049
John Wick 2
Trainspotting 2
In no particular order.

Blade Runner 2
Trainspotting 2

>mfw somewhat unwanted sequels to classic movies were the only kinos of the year

1. The Vietnam War
2. The Lost City of Z
3. Dunkirk
4. In This Corner of the World

What is it with these normie lists?

Kino runner > the rest

Song to Song, Voyage of Time, Logan Lucky, Twin Peaks the Return, Vietnam War (Burns).

Saw really few things from this year, what should i check? I'm not really getting a grip at modern cinema, watched about 180 films in 2017, the majority being from 1950-1980

8/10
Split
Okja
7/10
Get Out
Logan
Oats Studio stuff
6/10
Blade Runner 2049
Louis CK 2017
5/10
Ghost in the Shell
4/10
Song to Song
Trainspotting 2
LEGO Batman

MAYBE I'LL WATCH
Voyage of Time (the long one for now)
War for the Planet of the Apes

Baby Driver
Dunkirk
Alien Convenant
Capeshit since Logan (WW,GOGT2,Spiderman)
Mother
Kingsman 2
Oscar bait coming in the next month
New Star Wars

Good Time
A Dark Song
BR2049

Looking forward to three billboards and sacred deer

Silence (only 2016 because of festival bullshit)
It Comes At Night
Logan

>split
>8/10

Stopped reading at THAT exact moment

whats the name of that last one?

Logan was 6/10 at best.

IT was 7/10 at best

That's just like, your opinion man.

I love grindhouse cinema so it was definitely a 9/10 for me. It's also one of the best movies of the year.

Loganfags and Get Outfags should kill themselves

>tfw this image just informed me that there was another hang-soo yong movie that came out this year

also,
>get out
>the big sick
kys

*sang soo hong whoops

...

Raw is still the best movie of the year.

>Good movies
>Bad movies
I see you are provoking response but sprinkling movies people love with ones they don't, well me'me'ed

BR2049
It Comes At Night
Raw
Silence

Only 2017 movies I liked

Get Out was a good time

>all this pleb shit and blade runner listed with it
So it really is for fucking brainlets

>the best movie of 2017 is a 5/10
What a terrible year.

Post your top

1. Ghost Hunting
2. The Woman Who Left
3. El mar la mar
4. Quality Time
5. On the Beach at Night Alone ( Will probably change to The Day After once I see it next month)
6. Dark Night
7. Rey
9. Sleep Has Her House
10. Voyage of Time

i haven't watched any movies released this year yet. i do want to see logan and thor:ragnarok though.

inb4 marvel cuck and capeshit fag. fuck right off.

Pretentious pseud shit
Go back to the letterboxd general

2. You will immediately cease and not continue to access the site if you are under the age of 18.

>It Comes At Night
i *cum* at night. mostly.

voyage of time was dogshit

>ahah u underage xdd
Go back

Have you seen those threads? They're just as pleb as everyone else in this thread you plebeian babby

t. thinks watching obscure movies makes him "patrician"

None of those are obscure though

For thinking any of those are obscure, you likely are. Don't make it my fault

Get some taste scrub kiddo. I'm sorry you have brainletism that can't appreciate Christianity interpreted through Kierkegaard, Heidegger and Malick.

protip: it's kino

Lmao I follow eli hayes too

ah-bloo-bloo

Only good lists ITT

My own personal choices in no particular order:
Thelma
Samui Song
BR2049
Good Time
Personal Shopper
Sieranevada
A Skin so Soft
Sweet country
Jeanette the childhood of Joan of arc
The Little Girl Who Was afraid of Matches
The Third Murder
King Arthur
Wind River
The Woman who Left
Custody

garbage year

blade runner 2 8/10
dunkirk 7/10
logan 7/10

>I totally didn't list those because they're popular xddd
Sure thing pseud

>he actually watches movies
kek.

Blade Runner 2049 is a masterpiece.

They're obscure and not popular because you haven't seen them? The absolute state of this br2049 brainlet

t. /lbg/ babby that thinks he has taste

BR2049 is popular and thus you can't like it. I understand.

t. pseud that thinks he has taste

>t. pseud that thinks he has taste
not me, senpai

Blade Runner 2049 is genuinely better film than Elai Jayjes cannes farthouse baits.

Are your parents proud of how bad your reading comprehension is? There's a world of movies outside of what gets posted here, I promise

I've seen 8/10 of the films you listed and I think BR2049 is better than all of them except for the woman who Left and voyage of time. Also saying that those films are not obscure exposes yourself as a try hard. Most of them are lesser known films and there's nothing wrong with admitting that.

...

>no u
Excellent retort reddit

You don't say? It's amusing how you brainlets gauge taste by how many non mainstream movies you can post though.

A man of sense, must not come from those horrible letterboxd threads.

>there are people on this board right now that enjoyed baby driver

Most of these lists are shit

You just posted the worst list ITT. The Bad Batch is one of the worst films I've seen in my life

Tbh lads these are the only 5 new films I saw this year and I'm gonna rank them.
I've been busy. I'm going to have a big catch up soon.

1. Blade Runner 2049
2. IT
3. Get Out
4. Okja
5. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2

Shot Caller
>first time I've never had five decent movie choices by Oct
>Wind River was a 90s Ashley Judd thriller strained of popcorn fun for upperclass ex-hipster parents
>Baby Driver was okay, but pandered, like the first Tarantino bubblegum for SJW Redditors
Anticipating: Wheelman, Phantom Thread, Vice Principals finale (TV), Fincher Serial Killer (TV)

>Alien Covenant
Wait, why was that bad again? I remember having a good time watching it.

...

I don't think I've seen a single great movie that came out this year.

Get Out was entertaining though, despite what Sup Forums claims.

Look at this posters. The movies match the exact depth if this "kinetic sleek fun" bullshit. Independent women fighting and guffawing against smoky iPod aesthetic dystopias and comic book lighting

1 - On the Beach at Night Alone

only 2017 films I've seen so far:
>It
>Blade Runner 2049
>Dunkirk
>Baby Driver
>Song to Song
>Ghost in the Shell
>It Comes at Night
>A Ghost Story
>Get Out

only one I really loved so far was BR2049.

What's the point in just posting the same lists over and over in slightly different order?

...

The essential "I only watch what I've seen talked about on Sup Forums"

Very fitting you have meme runner, logan and spiderman

like, whats the point in anything, dude

Split was released in 2017 in my country. That one was pretty gud, if only because McAvoy was fantastic. Other than that I don't know.

A Ghost Story was good too, as was Shot Caller and Get Out.
