Feng Shen Ji thread

Just read last week's storytime. It's good shit, thanks for sharing OP. Anyway, since I missed the thread, Google ain't helping, and it's apparently FUCKING 182 ISSUES LONG I had some questions for the initiated:

>How's the pacing? Is the final boss just the first of many arcs against increasingly bigger bosses or does it seriously take the whole fucking length to get closure? Apparently it's split up into 3 volumes of ~50 each but I can't find info past that, an overview would be nice.

>How bloody fast do Chinese comic artists work? This apparently started publication in 2010? And has almost 200 issues? EACH 30+ DETAILED FULL-COLOR PAGES? That's insane. And assumes they don't do other series on the side.

>Anyone have a clip of the cartoon adaptation? There was a link in the last thread but it's already dead. I'm intrigued, but can't turn up anything.

The MC is basically Chiniese Ichigo from Bleach.

Reading it's a non-issue, there's no scarcity of options there.
I'm just having a hard enough time with backlog at the moment and adding 177 issues of 33 page comics to that backlog on a whim is a real fuckin' bad idea in my current predicament.
Have you read them? Do you know how the story unfurls, roughly? I'd be happy with just knowing what the stories of the 3 separate volumes are, that'd give me a basic idea to work with.

Haven’t read an issue myself, actually.

The pacing fine. They never get bigger than Tian. Part three kinda sucks at points.

Except he actually has a personality and uses all those powers he gets

Part III is beyond sucks. Its is the Ultimatium of Feng Shen Ji in the sense that the author killed majority of the named characters and 99.9% of the niggers.

Yeah, I liked some of the fights. Shame that they went to the shonen style of "everybody except the main character is useless" They that annoyed me was the dropped plot lines. The dark one planning to rebel against the MC, Why Bai cai was immune to god attacks and really good at dark one's moves, lightning god wanting to bang bai cai, that kid god becoming friends with the mask dude

Appreciated, thanks.
So is Tian still the villain through v3? Is it mandatory reading if I want punctuation to #1-6?

He is not the villain but still the last boss

He isn't the villain just nobody is stronger. No mater WHO you see or WHAT they do, nobody is stronger than Tian.

Not even the protagonists despite all the new powers and power-ups that he acquired towards the end.

...

Wait
>he isn't the villain
So no cathartic closure then?
Ahhhhhhhhh shit. Well, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and assume whatever twist makes up for it.

So what, the numbered "volume" are purely cosmetic then? It's all one flowing story right up to the end of the ride?

Not really everything, involving the first plot gets settled in first two volumes. MC kinda gets his revenge and frees humanity. The rest focus on the MC the dark ones and the sword guy. MC fights Tian again for a different reason.

Alright, thanks. What differentiates v1 & v2 then, if you don't mind me asking?

...Also did you miss a full-stop and mean Everything gets settled or does just some/most of it get settled?

>What differentiates v1 & v2 then
A Time skip where he gets stronger. V1 is him going around with his new body meeting all the key players and getting setup. V2 is the assault on god land. I meant to put the comma at not really, as in fi you expect him to murder Tian and get revenge than you are out of luck, he gets everything else though.

meant for

I'm satiated. Thanks a ton, bro.

There are vary arcs. for the first 2 see Then you have what is basically a side arc with the honored ones, and then you have the conclusion with the final battle vs the villain.

The pacing is very quick, divided into 3 major arcs. It doesn't have dull sections, IMO.

The rest, no idea.

Part 3 isn't really that bad, but yeah there are a few dropped plotlines. the conclusion is solid enough.

some covers are pretty good

>The pacing is very quick
>plot takes 100 fucking issues to resolve

Only thing crazier than the manga/manhua is the original source material
