>yfw 2 weeks until next episode

also seems like John is famous or something?

Everyone's face is slightly off, except Mercer and Janeway. Babies when? He's the new Paris.

We sometimes do see them, and they are also fairly serious. Voyager, and to some degree TNG, did a really good job giving us small glimpses into the regular people not on the bridge staff. Think of Voyagers Engineering staff - you didn't have any Chad Bros, you had serious people who took pride in doing amazing work.

Tom Paris was the only one who was ever so heavily out of left field, and that was because he was a criminal. Even the Maquis crew members, despite being pissed off at first, fell in line and took pride in their jobs.

Well at the Battle of Wolf they lost only, fuck what was it, 50 ships or so? And that was enough to strain the Federation even if only a little bit. They kept bitching about how vulnerable that left them.

And even in DS9 we only ever see tens of large ships maybe 30 in a scene? - even if we go, okay, they have a couple HUNDRED ships, we also have to keep in mind the following things

>Earth has billions of people living on it
>Earth does not have a capitalist economy, they have a utopian communist / socialist non-economy where you can do any work you want, period
>There are only human colonies and worlds
>Star Fleet is comprised of not only humans, but aliens who want to serve on Federation vessels as well

Once you kind of add all this up, you are going to get the sorts of people who go and get Masters Degrees or PhD's in Molecular Sciences,

vs the guys going to college or getting a Bachelors degree in business management who like to party on the weekend and use Tindr.

clearly time travel. there's dr who time spirals, and all the people with the camera phones out are dressed roughly like our time. mercer's line of 'any idea how bad this is' is probably in reference to LaMar becoming famous in the past, possibly affecting the future.

>mfw Issac offered to fuck Alara in the name of science.

What a cuck show. I can't stand how cucked Seth is in this series. He better never fuck his defiled ex wife.

I feel your pain, and it does hurt.

He divorced her immediately after she cheats.
He refuses to take her back.
He fucks other women.
Other women want to fuck him.

How is he a cuck again?

Why are we having to wait 2 weeks?

...

Did yesterday's episode rub anyone else the wrong way?? The two were acting too stupid onboard that Krill vessel, they would've been detected in seconds...

and the Avis and Hertz jokes were fucking stupid. Guarantee you in 500 years no one will know what the fuck they are. shits kinda dum yo

NICE

...

>getting mad that a Trek series keeps referencing 20th and 21st century bullshit

He gives her a job on the ship. Obviously she is trying to worm her way back in and he is letting it happen.
>But muh good officer
You telling me there is no other officer in the galaxy as good that didn't fuck a horrifying gross alien?

She was the one who used her father to get seth taht job though

Yeah, but that doesn't divorce them from common fucking sense.

In the episode with Charlize Theron that guy got his leg cut off at the knee. But when they found the leg it was from the thigh. Thoughts on that?

So what he owes her forever even if she does the unspeakable?

Nice! Thanks user.

I originally thought it was someone else's leg, which that would have been fucking hilarious.
But it was a basic error on the shows part, no big deal.

Isaac regenerated the stump so that even if he found it, it couldn't be reattached. Gotcha!

kek

No I just think its nice they are sorta reconciling, he bangs charlize though.

At the end of the last episode, I loved the conversation between Mercer and the Krill women. However, I kind of wish there was more dialog. I felt like that would have made a really great Picard moment, where after she said all those children will grow up to be your enemies... Mercer would have said something to get the last word in that hit some feels.

But I don't know, maybe I'm reaching here.

>We sometimes do see them, and they are also fairly serious. Voyager, and to some degree TNG, did a really good job giving us small glimpses into the regular people not on the bridge staff.

Lot of that is about the utopian higher ideals part of Star Trek mythos.

>Well at the Battle of Wolf they lost only, fuck what was it, 50 ships or so? And that was enough to strain the Federation even if only a little bit. They kept bitching about how vulnerable that left them.

Loss of crew might be bigger problem than loss of ships. Also when it comes to Star Trek, canon is heavily retroactive and retconned. Whatever shows up on screen is true, even if it conflicts with earlier canon.

>And even in DS9 we only ever see tens of large ships maybe 30 in a scene? - even if we go, okay, they have a couple HUNDRED ships, we also have to keep in mind the following things

It pretty obvious that they would have used more ships earlier on if there had been budget for that. Building models and shooting those is time consuming and costs money. By late 90's they had CGI and more than few existing practical ship models with plenty of existing stock footage to recycle, that allowed using more ships on scenes.

>vs the guys going to college or getting a Bachelors degree in business management who like to party on the weekend and use Tindr.

In TNG-era that kind of people would probably just indulge virtual reality and chemical entertainment without doing much outside of that, maybe do some volunteer work at local bar so they drink there with buddies on other nights. At least if we think about it realistically.

If it was like a normal dude she cheated on him with that's one thing. I mean it's still cucked. But everyone's a little bit of a cuck for someone sometimes. I can see reconciliation.
Or even like a handsome alien. One that looked pretty human and had nice features.
But that thing. I would lose all respect for anyone who has sex with that. Let alone a cheating wife. How can he look her in that face after seeing that Smurf eye jizz at him.
Only the ultimate cuck of all time would ever speak to her again. He probably should have murdered them both desu. Murdered them and became a space pirate. Now there's an interesting premise.

What was up with that Krill ceremony? They were knifing a human decapitated head. Are the Krill ISIS?

I dunno, maybe it has a prehensile dick?

Yes they are.

Even worse. Anything about its penis makes it worse. Maybe it jizzes blue and and like it's jizz dyed the inside of her pussy blue. Like an evolutionary branding thing. Like a microchimerism. You would never know unless you looked up inside there. But if you fucked her you could be fucking blue dyed pussy walls corrupted by alien semen.

user, it's the future. They probably see banging aliens the same way people see banging someone from a different country

Does anyone have a webm of the new ship Orville was docked with in this episode?

...

Everything other than that seemed very Christian.

I'm not being a fedora, just saying.

Fuck off Goldstein
Your globalist future feeding beautiful white women to Somali pin heads isn't happening.

You mad your wife enjoys the BBlueC?

I've been to many Christian churches of different denominations, and they never pulled out a basket of a head and started stabbing it. But I've seen lots of radical Islamic videos of heads being cut off and held up... just saying.

Thank you!

Damn, I love this "hoop" aesthetic. Seems normally reserved for alien ships, but I really like the style they're going for here.

KRILL ARE A SPECIES OF PEACE

Yeah its definately islam, nice to see a show finally going after that shit.

I think they're trying to kill Ed

I was just saying the chapel and everything seemed Christian. The stabby head ritual seemed more Mayan/Aztec or the Hindu cult from The Temple of Doom.

I don't doubt Muslims love cutting off heads but I doubt they do it during worship.

That's the reaction I usually get too

Okay.
So I imagine that if this were to actually transpire, then the Sup Forums approved word for it would be "CLANKED".
My question is: Which one of them would "CLANKED" apply to in this instance?

Looks like they used the original design for the larger ship. With the longer top fins

Wait what is that when I zoom in?

The 'being overly religious despite technological advancements' and everyone non krill must be killed, being happy they died in battle is very muslim.

I'm sure he mixed in it looking more like a church and the saying grace before eating just to include all religions, but the core beliefs are definitely islam

anyone else love her disguises? I love the bandage on nose

Why can't they use a holowhatsit to make her look normal in the episode?

thoughts?

Where do I download it from?

The internet.

I like her hat. It's very late 90s. I wounder if they bothered adding the ridges to her nose or if they just put white tape over it, and called it a day.

Just watch it on the FOX website. It's free, and HD.

If you're wondering who the priest was

That would have been hilarious.

lots of recycled trek peeps

So many people just repeated "cuck cuck cuck" like chickens, failing to even understand what the word means.

By dumping her immediately, he is neither a cuck, nor was he cucked. You cannot control what others do, you can only control yourself. The actions of others cannot apply labels to you. Accepting or allowing a woman to cheat is cucked.

the same thing happens in the last episode of DS9 i watched.

>lots of recycled trek peeps

Recycled Trek designs too. Look at the Krill, then the Jem Hadar, then back to the Krill Hadar.

it's more that the dude is in a fuckton of stuff

Just found a video from i think this week from NYCC where the orville had a panel.

Mic is actually easy to hear for once in these recordings.

Data CLANK'D Tasha Yar

This user gets it

>no halston

Anyone know why they made so many car rental references?

When?

She was right though and Mercer knew it. He saved those kids and they will still grow up to kill more humans. Worse, one of them now knows where Earth is.

man episode 6 was fucking great. aside from that terrible stabs at comedy this story was pretty tight. His act of salvation will become his damnation. i amazed that this has not descend into family guy territory. really hard hitting stuff. real sci-fi

yeah the comedy bits were cringe but the STORY was real good.

I'm kind of hoping that one day they mention that Gordon was trapped for six months in the twentieth century after flying too close to a wormhole.

="i want you to eat my weapon"

I like the comedy

it is confirmed the 1st season is done shooting we know this since Seth said he took a break from editing the finale to be at the panel.

He also said he listens to fan feedback, how do fans give feedback? can we get Orville to have more callbacks to trek cast? Why not shatner since the new series they said their putting his legacy in the trash, kind of a dick thing to say.

Man this episode wuld be 10/10 without the shitty goofy comedy. I wish they'd drop that angle completely.

was the bigger ship also a model?

I disagree

>Kirk not centre
triggered

You want Kirk in the middle you make it. Picard is my favorite.

>it's a 'captain mercer kills hundreds of people' episode

I got bored and stopped watching halfway through last nights episode, think the old trek nostalgia has worn off for me now there's not enough left to hold my interest really.

probably go back and binge the rest of the season once it's finished and I've got nothing better ot watch.

I really enjoyed the beginning and the end, but the middle with them on the Krill ship was not as good as people make it out to be. I choose to support the show and watch in hopes of getting a second season. If I can get a second season at least, I'd be very happy. Any more seasons is just profit for me.

there were muslims not people

They'll keep trying, though. We need to exercise eternal vigilance to fight it.

Islam has so much in common with judaism it isn't even funny. Why is this never talked about?

Because Hitler cocked up and made it impossible for anyone to ever call out the Jews

A man is a cuckold when his wife cheats on him. Period. It doesn't matter whether he allows it or not. You people who believe otherwise are simply confusing the term with a sexual fetish, because you refuse to believe it is an indignity either way.

No. He doesn't.

Terrible acting, lads.

They're right that he shares no blame or shame for it, his bitch chose to be unfaithful instead of breaking up first and that's only on her. They're right because you guys like to use the term to insult the man in the relationship which just does not apply here.

You really don't know what the word means. That is too funny.

Kirk > Janeway > Picard > Archer > Sisko > Nu-Trek

Terrible opinion, my dude.

It's likely a cuckold was historically shamed for his inability to control his wife.

No. You.

What's happening next Thursday?
Why do we have to wait 2 weeks til he next episode?

...

...

kek'd not bad. Not bad at all.

A moment of silence please for Unnamed Krill Helmswoman QT.
