Bullshit, I regularly try to seek out dramas from Japanese friends and its pretty much universally agreed that the vast majority of dramas (and anime as well) are total shit compared to a decade ago. Japanese tv is dominated by those fucking variety shows. Theres an interesting one here or there but they are the exceptions, not the rule.
Is there some kind of golden age of TV happening on a Japanese version of Netflix that most Japanese people would have no idea about? Wowow and Hulu to my knowledge just replay shit that already aired on normal tv.
