Minimum wage at full time hours is not enough in many areas.
Because Sup Forums will be empty.
There is no reason to.
Minimum wage at full time would not get me a domicile, internet, and netflix unless I stopped eating. Basically it wouldn't give me the bare minimum unless I moved in with some other cunts. So I might as well stick with the cunt I know and not labor for anything.
both true.
Same as with "parasite singles" in Japan.
Millenials were raised on hyperstimulus, like video games and internet communities. They grew up in the most entertaining and fulfilling possible world there is.
They're not naive. They know about the "real world", and will endure a lot of shame to avoid going there.
I think that having a hyperstimulus childhood is uncharted territory. The baby boomers gave two contradictory messages: They wanted their children to be happy, and they also wanted their children to be successful.
It's juuuuuuust right

THERE IS NO JOBS
Rent in my country starts at $100-300 A WEEK for a fucking room in a house and
$300-1000 for a house/sharehouse its absolutely stupid
I enjoy Steveposting quite a lot desu.
These threads give me a good idea of what other Sup Forumsacks are going through and it's a chance to ask for/give advice. One of the few times Sup Forums isn't a huge waste of time.
This, I could move out if I migrate into detroit or I can drop down to a part time job, make 25% of what I do now, and go into debt for some kind of engineering degree.
What the fuck is a Millenial?
Am I a Millenial? I'm 33 and have a wife, kid, house and 2 cars so..
I don't know what the fuck you're talking about
technically you're gen Y so you're a millenial
millenials span those born from 1980-2000
Waiting for my parents to die so I can take over the land I inherit.
Isnt that how families do it? Pass down their success to their off spring.
Why would you move out of your parents home?
Crap wages + the rent is too damn high. And the impending recession means that won't change anytime soon.
why did Steve-o become the face of such "millennial" questions?
I have no motivation to move out or even get a job. It's because I value my time more than the money I could potentially earn.
If I had a job, I could earn money. However, a majority of my time everyday would be lost working and commuting. When I came home, I would probably be too tired to do anything I enjoyed. I only have a limited amount of time to be alive and I want to spend it how I want.
Alternatively, I could live at home off my parents. This is obviously a bad decision in the long-term, but it practically doubles the amount of free time I have. The internet is a limitless source of entertainment and information, so I'm not really losing anything at the moment by not having money.
because jobs suck and are mostly temporary, and housing is expensive with rent being the price of a monthly mortgage in a lot of places
living with parents is the best way to save money if you can land jobs in your area t.
~50k in savings at 21
Jews.
I had an interview for a job where the guy offered me 40k. Later he called and said they aren't hiring. But I did the math and with student loans and rent plus other expenses I would be dirt poor.

I just got my own shitty studio apartment. Sure it's nice to have my own place, but living in a home is better and having family around is great when you get along with them. There is nothing wrong with staying at home, and it helps save money if your parents aren't Jews
I moved out once, spent all my shekels on cocaine and foie gras.
Now I live in my parents attic, and I cant get a decent job.
Live the Millennial dream
I can only get minimum wage because everything has ridiculous requirements (5 years dishwashing experience and a degree in hydraulics? The actual fuck?), and the jobs I can get are absolute shit that treat you like glorified slaves. Not to mention they all have cliques and are basically high school outside of high school. It's fucking shit and torture.
>be three years unemployed
>forklift ticket
>8 years picking and packing experience
>3 years shelf filling experience
>apply for a nightfill position at a new store
>don't get it despite the experience
I just... why dont they want me man
I hope to move out early next year. I finally found a job that pays decent and I am doing well there so I may get a promotion soon, or at least more hours. I make more than min wage but still couldn't even consider moving out without roommates. Next year the lease will be up on a friend's apartment so we are getting a place together.
Last year chipotle interviewed 65,000 people and gave 4000 jobs. Talk about depressing!
Probably because ((((somebody)))) bought all the land and even a studio apartment costs $1,500/month.
Living with a roommate is cheaper, but still around $800-900
wake me up
They want people that have enough experience that they need no training, but no more experience than that, because if they have more experience they'll demand higher wages.
Employers get away with this because they don't need the labor very badly. They don't have to hire anyone right now, or even at all, they can afford to wait until their ideal hire comes along.
Minimum wage is fine. The problem is that there's no ladder to climb. Employers now deliberately try to milk you without promotions.
t. Grocery Store worker.
>why dont they want me man
because you aren't a Trans-cripple, Aboriginal woman with autism.
I don't know how common this is, but my parents settled down in an area with a really shitty job outlook just because muh california climate.
I am a trans though
I graduated a little more than a year ago. I make enough to live on my own, but I get along with my parents, my girlfriend is still finishing up college in another state, so it's not as if I need the privacy to fuck her and living at home allows me to put 10% of my pre-tax income into a 401(k) and about 80% of my take-home pay into an investment account. I don't have student loans because my parents aren't dumb poorfags, so at least in my case, all of that saved money is setting me up for a good future. After all, how the fuck do you expect to have thee or more children in order to do your part in fighting the horrendously low white birth rate if you don't have enough cash to raise them properly? Make some sacrifices early on, fight the Jews' desire to impoverish you with shit you don't need and save enough money to support your future family.
show boipuccy and fem benis pls, faggot
They donated all their money to Bernie
Better not marry her because she is going to divorce you and take half.
I've already made it clear that a prenuptial will be a requirement of getting married; she agrees because she's a traditional woman and not a leftist whore.
The finest of Peruvian nose candies!
calm down grandpa it will all be over soon... for you.
Also forgot that I'm constantly asked if I can stay longer and work on my days off, as well as do extra odd jobs like clean machinery, fridge units, etc with tools and chemicals. No pay raise, no nothing. Just more hours and a bigger toll on my body. I'm known by everyone, and I mean, EVERYONE as the hard worker. They just take advantage of that and make me the guy to pick up everyone's slack, because they know damn well half of the people in my department suck at their jobs.
>Got a guy in the milk box who unloads and stocks dairy in the mornings who desperately wants helps and personally is trying to get me in his department, which also pays more, with more hours, and NORMAL shifts.
>Everyone knows I can do it
>Manager just wants me to stay where I am because it saves him money and I'm the one to carry the weight of everyone else
>NOW HIRING is still posted since March.
It's not really a good investment right now. Housing is artificially high, so basically you are renting, leasing, or buying for more than it's worth. And if you invest in it you're likely to lose a lot when the bubble bursts. Living in your own home now is practically a luxury.
