So, are good things happening in the world /RWBYg/?
Grayson Edwards
BEST GIRL
Logan Carter
...
Brandon Nelson
Which world? Earth or Remnant?
Either way, both of them are having some trouble, right now. But overall, they're also both doing okay at the moment.
Joshua Clark
Why is yang a such a shit? She ruined the whole episode!
Connor Miller
>yfw when the favor that Weiss asks Klein for is a haircut.
Also, I wonder about Yang's first haircut Tai mentioned.
Nathan Green
Earth is doing fine, once people realise they can stop being assholes to eachother and learn from the past then we'll eventually have a beautiful world.
But Remnant is kinda fucked on account of having what basically amounts to the Anti-Christ creating monsters and trying to destroy everything. Doesn't help the good guys are a bunch of kids who basically know nothing.
How was the episode?
Connor Green
What if Weiss will dye her hair ?
Hudson Perry
Does anyone think they'll actually stop being friends? Yeah, the situation is fucked up and Qrow's dying in their hands but that scene set-up makes me think that they'll just get a much needed scene where Ruby actually talks about shit instead of acting like she's unaffected by things. Then they'll patch things up in the end and become better friends. They wouldn't end another volume as a downer right after vol 3, would they?
Honestly though, Ruby not talking about the past events as much as she should feels weird so I hope she speaks her mind.
Kevin Perez
Whitley has done nothing which could be considered unsound in anyway.
Carson White
The episode was fantastic. Very strong. It's got me eager for more.
Aaron Rogers
He was rude to Weiss.
James Sanchez
Good.
Luis Ross
I want to believe her first haircut was when she manifested the flames part of her semblance for the first time, because the idea of little baby Yang screaming about not wanting to get her hair cut while she's burning so hot the scissors have melted is hilarious to me
Jack Williams
Well that makes him worse than Cinder didn't ya know?
Luis Powell
He insulted Ironwood, something not even Jacques has stooped to
Nathaniel Butler
Neat.
Oliver Sullivan
He offended Ironwood
Bentley Ramirez
At this point I'm choosing to believe that he subtly pushed his dad into making decisions he knew would push Weiss to a breaking point, like forcing her to come home or doing the charity ball. Like sure, most of the fault lies on Weiss herself but since he's almost inevitably going to be treated as an antagonist he may as well have done something to deserve it outside of not being a main character
Jonathan Mitchell
So user I heard you've got very interesting semblance
Leo Sanders
I don't want Ruby to end up with Oscar.
The thought of Ruby getting plowed by not-Ozpin is fucking gross. I'd rather she end up with Jaune over Oscar, and I say this as a staunch anti-Lancaster faggot that has admitted more than once that I'd rather see Ruby fuck dogs for the rest of her life than settle for Jaune.
Jackson Foster
>Weiss dyes her hair and cuts it short so that she's harder to spot in a crowd once her father initiates a full blown manhunt for her after he realizes she's bailed.
Austin Morris
Daily reminder that the show never ends and we are here forever
John Gutierrez
I can't get into adult-little girl too so Ozpin really sours the deal. I honestly wish almost all of them just ended up alone and not bothering with relationships. Ren, Nora and Blake should be the only ones who end up in a relationship.
Adrian Roberts
I'm pretty sure anyone actually pushing RoseXOscar is doing so as a joke and doesn't actually think it will happen
Brody Campbell
Oscar's like the Jaune self-insertfags think he is. Super special yet an everyman and doesn't really do anything to get his powers. Hell, he's even a farmer which most people thought Jaune was.
It's gonna happen which is great because Jaune and Ruby are meant to be foils which is not as good if they get together.
Andrew Garcia
>Earth is doing fine, once people realise they can stop being assholes to eachother and learn from the past then we'll eventually have a beautiful world.
Oh you sweet summer child.
Carson Cox
Imagine Ozpin's face if Oscar will end up with Whitley
Oliver Carter
Have her eyes always been purple?
James Bell
It does. With Cinder, there is a level of respect and politeness. Whitley is a cunt who will openly sneer at anyone as he throws them under the bus. I know who I'd rather grab lunch with.
Sebastian Harris
Shit, Whitley hasn't even thrown anyone under the bus, he hasn't done shit but be a smug jackass for no good reason At least Cinder put the work in to earn being a smug bastard over her keikaku
Tyler Myers
>Have her eyes always been purple?
She has blue eyes but She could wear contact lenses after the escape
Juan Bailey
>Going to lunch with a murderer plotting the downfall of mankind
I know you're being stupid on purpose but c'mon.
Josiah Walker
You can tell he will be a vicious cunt. He has more than enough resources and status to delve very deeply into vicious cunt mastery. You can tell he gets off on demeaning and ruining even a close family member.
No, he is already a huge cunt. Cinder, whatever her faults, just isn't as bad.
Jackson Robinson
Does she cover her scar too?
David Perry
Optimist. I am an optimist.
Luke Roberts
What's she going to do, poison my lunch on a whim?
Even a woman like Cinder needs to have lunch and chat, and with her charisma and life experience the talk would be fantastic.
Whitley, on the other hand, is a smug rich cunt who can't relate to anyone and probably cannot effectively hold a lunchtime conversation. The utter bastard.
Aaron Walker
Prime!
Jaxson Walker
She becomes Punished Weiss, A huntress denied her inheritance.
Brandon King
...
Levi Reyes
>denied her inheritance
Ya know I keep asking myself if this is honestly a bad thing and I don't think it is. She wants to be a Huntress, out there fighting the important fight and helping people. Can't really do that while running the SDC.
Her getting disinherited is nothing but a good thing despite the loss of funding.
Anthony Clark
>The grimm ignore wild animals and only go after humans ^^some time later^^ >The grimm were created to kill stuff that lives n shit wew laddie is this the power of planning 20 volumes ahead?
Thomas Adams
So is it confirmed that Whitley doesn't have the semblance or that he just doesn't train with it? And what are the odds Weiss and Winter lorded it over him if he didn't?
Cameron Thomas
Megatron!
Daniel Cook
you are a precious cinnabun that is too pure for this world
Nolan Bailey
But Cinder's effectively mute now.
Are you really telling me that you'd rather have lunch with a scarred, mute woman who would kill you without a second thought rather than a smug rich kid you could endlessly troll as you take apart his increasingly frenzied arguments piece by piece?
Andrew Turner
Eh, the humans have a greater spark of creativity than plants and animals so they get priority; assuming the humans get wiped out then Bambi and co. are next.
Asher Smith
Santa Schnee was doing exactally that, running a buisness and on the front lines for morality. He only stopped because of his health.
Camden Turner
Ruby!
Noah Walker
What sort of brother doesn't like his 2 hot older sisters? Whitley confirmed fag lord
Leo Rogers
Most likely he never had his aura unlocked at all.
No unlocked aura, no semblance.
If for some reason he does later unlock it, he'll prob have the family semblance
Brody Edwards
No, this is the power of actually planning to "from a certain point of view" your audience instead of pulling it of your ass George The fact they kept this back until it was explained by a character who was established in his previous scene to be willing to lie to and endanger RNJR for the sake of the conspiracy he's a part of should have been your first clue
Jonathan Cook
She isn't mute. Emerald can talk for her. The conversation would flow freely.
Henry Roberts
>What's she going to do, poison my lunch on a whim? Yes actually, that's a very real possibility
Brandon Rogers
He started it, but apparently needed someone like Jacques to grow the thing to the monster it is now. Weiss probably couldn't manage something this size while still being a huntress/having Whitley argue that she's not prioritizing correctly.
David Mitchell
>Too pure for this world. Does that mean I'm gonna get killed off?
Ian Morris
SDC wasn't nearly as big back then though. Jacques turned it into what it is today. Unless she has someone running the day to day for her.
Jack Howard
>Cinder >Charisma Dumb bitch could only recruit people who were desperate or had literally no other choice
Nathaniel Stewart
Violently, but at the very least you'll probably befriend a main character who gets to watch you die to give them resolve/character development
Carson Jenkins
But now you've got Emerald there, who'll steal your wallet and tell you to piss off.
Hudson Wilson
Exactly though, Nick's way of running things ravaged his health, took a toll on his family life and is the reason why Jacques is in power right now. It didn't work
David Stewart
>Hot, bitchy sisters >Give you a sexual complex >Run the fuck away before you can try anything >Force you to rely on escorts with wigs to ever get off That sort of brother, duh
Gabriel Kelly
I'm the youngest out of eleven. All of my older siblings are female. So no, it's not that hard to dislike them in the slightest.
Wyatt Brown
your sacrifice will be a noble one.
Zachary Morris
My problem is that one way or another she's gonna end up getting what she wants by the endgame. Even though it really makes sense for her not to get it at this point, events will conspire with her.
Carson Morgan
So are we drowning him in the toilet bowl this time or we just gonna push him over a cliff or something?
Wyatt Stewart
...
Nicholas Thompson
>Force you to rely on escorts with wigs to ever get off Make it happen You're sister is probably uglies, just like you are!
Nathan Hill
So I end up a martyr for somebody to get the drive to save the world from some unpleasantness? At least I didn't die for nothing I guess.
Gabriel Lopez
That's the spirit m8
Jordan Jackson
Shhhh, all in due time. gotta wait until the MC develop feelings and they hold hands
Connor Green
>I'm the youngest out of eleven.
Go back to bed, Jaune. Pyrrha is still dead and the nasty things people tend to say about her here will probably drive you to suicide.
Ethan King
Jaune has 7 not 11
Jaxson Long
I'll miss you user
Noah Perez
Huzzah. If all goes well maybe I'll get a statue in my honor or something.
>Spoiler. >Holding hands. That's lewd.
James Fisher
>Hunter suicide >Dump entire mag >Have to reload because your aura isn't depleted
Wyatt Walker
>whitney has two whole wardobes to pick from >implying he never put on a dress and wig for a wild night >mama schnee drunkly acts like hes weiss
Justin Reed
I'll put him down for the "Mindbroken by torture and put down by the MC" route, sir.
Cooper Carter
>Your semblance unlocks after reloading and it's super regeneration.
Ethan Cox
This show needs more despair, death and suffering in general, in highly detailed lengthy scenes
Hudson Wright
...
Jacob Morales
I want GoTfags to leave.
Andrew Brooks
I want more of that bro hug
Nicholas Russell
>Implying I didn't just want it to mirror my life
Mason Cruz
Why do you think they are foils they share more traits than most characters.
Most of Ruby's teammates make better foils.
Nicholas Hill
7 sisters, there may be more siblings in total.
Connor Roberts
Which character is more static? Ruby Rose, or Mikazuki Augus?
Michael Adams
What did I do to deserve this?
Bentley Reyes
its already turning grimm dark show. annoying comic relief sun git killed and jaune is turning emo even nora is not so talkative.
Levi Collins
>What did I do to deserve this?
Noah Sullivan
>Jaune has 7
Yeah, that he knows about.
Easton Williams
Am I gonna get molested by the cat?
Alexander Gonzalez
>implying this show was meant to be lighthearted
i want the hugbox comitee to leave. you know nothing of RESOLVE.
David Collins
Not him but there are multiple ways to make foils. One is to make them vastly different to contrast with one another. Hot and cold personality of the MC and his rival for example. The other is to make them very similar but with a very noticeable difference in a few important parts. The similarity makes it easier to see the difference in the 2nd way.
Ruby and Jaune are the 2nd. They're similar in personality and set-up as the two young goofy leaders but the way they handle events are different as the story moves forward. Jaune becomes more negative while Ruby sees the positives as they experience the events and tragedies. I think people see they're foils more simply because the way the story places them together.
They started off walking to beacon together as the young kids they are. They were both made leaders. They both experience loss. End of 3rd volume is them going on a journey together out into the world mirroring how they took their first steps to beacon together. Last episode was more noticeable. It's like every time Ruby says something positive, Jaune says something negative.
Xavier Cruz
>muh orphan on the front lines of revolution >actually from influential family wearing gucci n shit >complains about lack of space on the island >lives in a mansion that takes up as much space as the whole village next to it excrement kitty
Ethan Moore
Machop!
Cameron Martin
>They'll be fine. >You don't know that.
Goddamn Jaune is feeling the weight of all this. How long till he ends up becoming a crazy pragmatic guy that takes no chances? Not the edgy kind rather the one that makes sure that they're prepared for any eventuality.
John Rodriguez
>One is to make them vastly different to contrast with one another. Hot and cold personality of the MC and his rival for example. The other is to make them very similar but with a very noticeable difference in a few important parts.
And then the ultimate is to do both of those things.
Luke Campbell
Forgot to add, like you said, they used to be more similar. Now it seems like they're becoming very different from one another. Same starting point due to similarity but the route they took was different so the difference between the two is easier to see.
One guy said it in the previous thread I think. Ruby saying "They'll be fine" and Jaune saying "You don't know that" really hammers it home. Before, you could totally see Jaune to at least sorta agree or make a nervous laugh and smile but he's no longer that way.
