Are the Blade Runner and Alien universes still connected?

Didnt dr any mention of Weyland Yutani, how do the events of 2049 affect the possibility of the two worlds being connected?

They are working towards combining them into a "universe" like you see with DC and marvel after another BR film. Probably about 5 years off though.

It was just a tribute or in-joke, the same as American Psycho/The Rules of Attraction/Secret History.

Of course that won't stop Hollywood for making a cash-in crossover movie for the fanboys, assuming that they can work out the IP rights issues.

Yeah if the explanation is offered that Tyrell makes replicants and Weyland makes synthentics and you cut out Prometheus/Covenant then yeah there could be a BR/Alien/Predator cinematic universe
