I would say it was somewhat open in the basic sense, but it doesn't really demand expansion. K's storyline is definitely over though

haha im nowhere near the baseline
well they want us to care about the whole "replicant revolutionary uprising" subplot in order to set up a sequel but honestly that was the weakest part of the film.

Oh it's a poem
Takes places decades after the revolution and the main character is some run of the mill guy with no special talents and he can't find any work because Replicants can do everything. His only solace is VR that is pushed by the powers that be to keep him pacified, but he yearns for something real, even if its dirty and decaying. He grows more and more resentful of his replicant overlords, but is powerless.
I'm curious to see, without limits imposed, how replicants would develop over generations. Do they have any artists or creativity? Weakness is what drives human innovation because we have to find ways to overcome our limits, but what does a superhuman do when they've made it to the top and the old human order is cast down? They don't have those limits and now can't define themselves in comparison to their human overlords. Even if still around most humans are just parasites.
Probably my favorite scene.
>had a girlfriend but never went on a date

the revolution was a misdirect for the plebs. Kinoveuve then deftly dropped it like the shit it was
From the way blade runner work so far, all revolution events are done off screen and is only used as part of the lore for the setting.
Why did he say all that stuff?
Why cells and interlinked?

I was expecting her to screw the goose over, being part of Wallace's botnet and all.

she did screw goose over, albeit unintentionally, by allowing Luv to monitor Goose until he disconnected her wifi

It definitely came across as a type of brain-washing, breaking down any normal emotional reactions.
Exactly, it just underlies the conflict over what humanity is. The fact that K disobeys the rebel replicants as well as his non-replicant masters is important. He's an individual surrounded by bigger forces at work: commerce (Wallace), government (the police force), and war (the future rebellion).

Theres a lot of movies but most of them came out before Sup Forums even existed and none of them were collectively experienced by us
I was raised with that bullshit by my scumbag of a father. Glad that Mom finally left him and escaped from Argentina with me when I was about 14. Somehow he still could find our new phone number years later. Creepy fucker and his "sailor" amigos even creepier. I thought they were pure evil from hell, when I was a small child. Still do.
I'm so glad I didn't end up in one of those child labor camps in the Org. Mom was sane enough not to assist him in punishing me for my "previous lives", the abuse at home was more than I could take. I'd kill myself if I was actually sent to one of those hellholes.
So... what are YOUR crimes, SP?

Also Sup Forums was obsessed with LOST when it was on, but that was more of a love-hate relationship.
Brainley here, I loved the movie but I didn't get the testing scene
Is it to test their "humanity" or to check if they are deficient?
What is the meaning of CELLS and INTERLINKED, is it a code for yes or no?
You aren't "brainley" you are brainless
Its a reference to a Pale Fire
It's testing their emotional response, "baseline" means they're basically emotionless. The words are from Nabakov's Pale Fire (which Joi picks up early in the movie), in the book they're a poem about a vision the main character had during a near death experience. Then the test asks a bunch of emotionally-charged questions which he has to reply to with "cells" and "interinked" from the poem, it's intentionally intense and off-putting because if he's becoming emotional (off baseline) he'll react differently and will probably be retired.
>which he has to reply to with "cells" and "interinked" from the poem
He has to reply with whatever word the interrogator finishes with. In the second test (when he failed) he responded with "dark", "dredfully distinct" and so on.
Drive.
Yup there's the one. I came across her on tinder the other day and WEW.
He was dead long before
did he die bros?
I hope so, the world didn't deserve him.
he's in AI heaven cuddling with Joi
He's not an AI though
Yes he is
He a AI. Just not mechanical
...
did he pick his baseline from a book that he likes or was he studying the book and that's used for all of them?
what's the meaning of that poem and how's it relate to blade runner?
>goes off baseline
Funny you mention this. One couple sat beside me (I was alone) when I went to watch this movie.
So, at one point she comes and switch seats with her bf, now sitting at my side directly. She spread her legs comfortably like those men the feminists always talk about on the subway and keeps rubbing her knee on my hand.
It was unsettling and she looked like a 14yo.
I don't think you'll find the answer to that kind of question on the pedo board.
This is the sorry state of Sup Forums.
You're not even close to baseline, user.
Goose never dies
he drives...
When goose failed his baseline did he say a wrong word or did the machine just pick up on his emotions?
>Did you buy a present for the person you love?
>Within cells interlinked.
>Why dont you say that three times?
>Within cells interlinked. Within cells interlinked. Within cells interlinked.
The test asks him to repeat what he said because he was likely off his baseline for that question since he was planning to buy JOI the holo emitter. They were trying to see if it was an just an anomoly or not, but K manahed to get it under control. It's the little things in this movie.
ENOUGH WITH THE CELLSPOSTING
iirc there were a bunch of shots of his synapses firing and his hair standing on end, so I assume it was testing a lot of physiological factors
Yeah, I thought he didn't fail the words.
Woah, missed that.
So it's more about the emotions.

Fun fact, for normies Joi is the villain
From what i've read on reddit
A man has a near-death experience and while being dead sees in a vision a white fountain. (K learning that there was a replicant child somewhere). Shortly after he reads in a newspaper about a woman also having an NDE and seeing a white fountain so he starts searching for her (K believing that he's that child). Then he discovers that there was a mistype in the newspaper and it actually was "a white mountain" meaning that there was no higher meaning to it all (K's dreams crushed by the one-eyed lady)
>Fun fact, for normies Joi is the villain

thats kinda cool and all but it's also weird that he's use the whole cells and interlinked and distinct dark shit during his baseline test
