Why does the new logo for the United Federation of Planets feature two humanoid heads on it's sides? They're either going to pass as Human or Vulcan, so I can't imagine the dozens of other species would feel happy with this design.

The point is that a Human would say "all these species look like us but with slight differences, so let's make the silhouette look like us"

But an Andorian would also say "all these species look like us but with slight differences, so let's make the silhouette look like us" except the silhouette looks like a Human. An Andorian would notice the lack of antennae. A Tellarite would noticed the difference the completely different facial structure from them. So to have a silhouette of a Human would be seen as favouring Humans and ultimately goes against the idea of the Federation.

It could be excused if the Federation was a Human organisation that others were joining, except there were four founding members, not one.
