What films have made you physically ill?

What films have made you physically ill?

I saw pic related for the first time yesterday and i made it to the grindstone part before i had to turn off the film, go to the bathroom, and vomit. First time i've ever been physically affected by a piece of film.

Something in the film is reminding you if something you have hidden inside yourself deep down. Tell me more about this. I'm listening.

The deer abortion was a metaphor for me :(

Not ill, but I looked away when she cut her clit off. Only film I've done that during.

Hasn't happened in a long time. When I was a kid and I watched The Animatrix I had to turn it off at this scene because it made me feel sick. Didn't try to watch it again until probably a decade later. Now I just appreciate the animation.

Were you literally shaking, you massive fucking pussy?

Dat clit mutilation still haunt me

I can understand why you would think so, certainly. The only thoughts I have while replying to you are the merits of abortion.

Dafoe's long swinging cock

Stunt cock. Dafoe's was literally so big that it would have been distracting to the audience, apparently.

This

After watching this movie sometimes I look down and see a mangled fox that says "chaos reigns"

Yeah, like i said above first film (first anything really) to make me actually vomit. Stomach was fine, no problems, watched the film, had to pause it and go throw up.

I still think about that one scene in Bone Tomahawk from time to time. Only time violence in a movie has ever stuck with me

>mfw she cuts her own clit off with scissors

youtube.com/watch?v=lCtm2c1_sag

If you haven't already seen it

That was fuckin wild.

...

American Psycho, the book, made me physically ill. Never had that before, even with all the gore and other vile shit posted on this website. But I had to put down Ellis' book.
Is the film just as bad?

>tfw know I have to keep watching this so I can understand what it means
>otherwise all my suffering will have been for nothing

It doesn't get better

The film is fairly mild desu. What is so bad about the book ive heard from multiple people its fairly disturbing

man this film is not that bad

I remember seeing this with my friend who is a queasy little punk who thought this was gonna be a dumb action movie. He had to hold his sleeve over his eyes like a little bitch nigga and I loved every second of it.

I don't like needles, and I found this out by watching that Saw film where the whore is rummaging through a pit filled with hypodermics. I suddenly felt deathly cold and had to stagger out of the theatre and back to my room. Cut a pretty pathetic figure desu. It's weird because all the other gore was meh, but needles, god damn.

I was laughing hysterically throughout this movie. Everything about it is tasteless and ridiculous. It's like a parody of a gorey arthouse movie. In fact, the ending (a screen that says "DEDICATED TO ANDREI TARKOVSKY") almost convinces me that the movie is bad on purpose and exists solely to trigger easily grossed out people. Lars is just having a laugh that his fame lets him get away with a movie that's so shitty and stupid in every way.

Being disturbed and affected by Anti-Christ is exactly like those people who can only understand the holocaust if they see MLP characters photoshopped into historical photographs.

that's enough Internet for today

Exactly how i feel. I have to finish it tonight or all will have been for nought.

The murders Bateman commits (either real or made up) are just plain twisted. Ellis has a very descriptive writing style, and the book is full of detailed descriptions of events, people, gadgets, and places. The murder scenes are the same. The first gory scene takes place quite far in the book, and the acts of violence become more and more depraved as the story progresses.
I stopped reading the book after he starts mutilating a girl's mouth with a hole saw. The writer doesn't leave anything out so you're left with a very vibrant image of what's going on. And I've heard it wasn't even the worst scene. I still want to finish it because the book is pretty great and funny.

The most disturbing moment in modern cinema.

What are some good "real" horror films then, senpai?

>i had to turn off the film, go to the bathroom, and vomit

lol!

You fags are pathetic

you thought that movie was disturbing? I laughed

None.
Film rely mostly on gore to shock the viewer and since I know its all faked it doesn't have much effect against me even if its fucked up.

What does get to me however is psychological horror and, call me an autist, but some light novels and visual novels have put me off for days.

Jesus christ

Actually a lot tamer than I expected. I read the parents guide on imdb a long time ago and was too much of a pussy to actually watch it

I don't mean horror films. I don't care for gore myself so I'm not an expert, but Anti-Christ reminds me of Zulawski movies. Maybe you'd like On the Silver Globe or Diabel or even Possession. Those all have plenty of gore and seem to be what Lars is borrowing from. I guess the cat torture scene from Satantango also counts.
Also, many people seem to be deeply disturbed Takashi Miike's Audition. That movie does nothing for me, but maybe you'd like it.
Otherwise just starting watching stuff like Niku Daruma

Just how bad at reading are you?

>youtube.com/watch?v=lCtm2c1_sag
desu watching it alone isn't as severe as watching it while watching the film

when you just watch the scene you know you're about to see gore and you're ready for that

90 mins into the film when it happens and the tone has been well set it just comes out of nowhere and it is really quite shocking

starving rats let lose into a woman's vag via some gerbil tubes which are inserted into said vag using acid to keep them in place.

That is only one chapter of the book.

Women can still receive clitoral stimulation and orgasm with their clit cut off actually. She'll be fine.

Oh damn that does stick with you.

...

Its still pretty damn gross.

...

but how
>we have a scene in which this woman puts the kid in the chair
>ok lets also shoot a few shots of this random extra doing the same thing

I want to see this director do a movie about the Spanish Inquisition

would be Kinó with Milla Jovovich, not Gainsbourg

She's so hot when she's not acting.

She can't act so shes hot all the time.

ANDREW JACKSON DID NOTHING WRONG

that mega64 podcast bit about this exact phrase sums that mentality up so well.

Braindead, by Peter Jackson. It's cartoonish as fuck and usually I can stomach most gore, but fuck me that movie was pushing it to the limit.

This. I almost didn’t finish it cuz of that shit. Fuckin sickening

Green Room. Just this one seconds-long scene really got to me for some reason. I felt like crying.

To be fair to a quarter of my ancestry, Euros were doing shit like that too:
>In Froissart's account of the execution, Despenser was then tied firmly to a ladder, and—in full view of the crowd—had his genitals sliced off and burned in his still-conscious sight, then his entrails slowly pulled out, and, finally, his heart cut out and thrown into the fire.

Brutality is a human universal

red pill me on that, what the fuck happened

Yeah. Something about that early scene where the protagonist's mother was surreptitiously squeezing the thick, gooey pus from her infected boils into the soup really got to me.

All the gore and dismemberments that come later are so kitschy and absurd that they didn't affect me, even the Freudian rebirthing scene is over the top to the point of hilarity. But that soup shit had me queasy, goddamn.

>needles
You should watch the 2013 remake of Evil Dead, friendo.

green room had some gnarly af violence, like this scene plus the part where the big guy gets disemboweled or when that kid gets his throat ripped out by the dogs

stellar fuckin movie though since it doesn't rely on the gore, the tension is genuinely well crafted

I had to leave the room and plug my ears, during the didlo/sword rape scene, when Seven was playing. They don't show anything, but the implication and sound made me sick.

everybody talks about anton's arm but poots taking the box cutter to the guy's stomach was way worse for me. there's no build up to it, it just happens, and something about how quiet it is makes it even more disturbing, as opposed to if there had been gory sound effects or scary music or hysterical screaming. it's too real.

Well, I'll never watch this shit. Thanks, user. Doesn't green inferno have fgm, too?
I actually like Eli Roth and was thinking of watching it.

The tension build up with her seeing the red laces and then not knowing what was happening to his arm was pretty great

I remember a film where these people were brought before this kind of underworld boss guy. The boss guy wasn't particularly threatening but he had this machine beside him that sucked mucous out of his body and into this tank. The boss guy wanted to punish this person, so one of the boss' goons opened the lid of the mucous tank and forced this guy to drink it. That scene grossed me out hard.
Antichrist was a mindfuck of a film on all levels, right from the first five minutes. Green Room was amazing tension and suspense.

>sound
But they don't have the act itself in the film at all. The only sound I can think you mean is the guy screaming?

the abortion was the worst

What's the name of that violent eastern european film with infant rape?

yeah dafoe's mug is pretty fucking scary

serbian film?

A Serbian Film

Same, I still remember that scene from time to time and makes me want to puke. It's like they made that scene specifically to fuck me up

This really wasn't that bad. Those special effects leave something to be desired.

What's the context of this?

dudes on the crowd watching it like's an art gallery

This one was just silly. I loved the movie when I first saw it, but nothing about it was particularly shocking. Describing it as a horror is absurd.

Matthew Fox was weirdly fucking good in it, too. I usually hate that guy.

this sounds so ridiculous and amazing that i now need to know what this movie is

Subconscious Cruelty (2000) here's a best of youtu.be/4EvZ06ixtXc fetus-kill and penis-slicing included

between braindead (1992) and hostel (2005).

>red pill me on that, what the fuck happened
heard how jonah was treated by french girl

she was a guest on some shitty french meme show and the host brought up the fact that her father was locked up for tax fraud through most of her childhood which caused her to react that way
it was probably staged though
it feels and looks that way

Jacob the Liar?

Funny how blood and mutilation doesn't get to me but bones breaking does. Either way, it was a shitty movie.

the eye scene at the beginning of saw 2 is what got me

A little but not visible. His wife is so damn sexy in it. Her fierce eyes turn me on. You see her nice ass in panties, bare jiggling nipples and side profile of her ass and pussy. Sexy as fuck.

Trier is a great pleb filter. I can instantly tell when ppl don't appreciate his work that they are from reddit.

Book was hilarious. Even the 'sick' stuff (namely the thing with rat) was so extreme and over the top that it became comedic.

Read Cows or High Life by Stokoe if you want to see how truly disturbing and affecting literature can be.

The older I get the more sensitive I get about violence and shit for some reason

Same. Maybe it's my testosterone leveling out or some shit, but I'm becoming more empathetic the older I get

I think I'll pass, then, thanks user. A lot of gory rapey things I like, even if they make me a little sick. But fgm is a deal breaker. ;_;

h*lla epic

...

It's not really mutilation but the big village tuna, she gently sticks this bone in their vaginas. It's off screen. Only pic related bleeds then gets taken away to be raped maybe. Off screen too. Sexy though.

there's literally nothing called female genital mutilation, it's literally just tidying up a very unattractive hole and creating some pleasant aesthetics by removing useless tissue.

Doesn't compare to Green Inferno.

It's hard to be affected by fantasy when there is so much real life depravity, torture and murder available on line. Watching violent rape porn, 3 guys 1 hammer or 1 fag 1 icepick or anything from a South American prison kind of takes the jolt out of anything concocted by paid actors and special effects. People have largely been desensitized to murder and cruelty.

A Serbian Film did stick with me, mostly because I have a son about the kid's age in the movie, but even that pales in comparison to watching an actual living person being fed his own fingers after having molten plastic poured on him or reading the Bittaker-Hobbs transcripts.

It's a virginity test basically

I always thought she was checking to see if their hymens were intact, not going full sandnog on the cooter, but I could be wrong.

No you're right my guy. First girl had a nice booty

>People have largely been desensitized to murder and cruelty.
I don't think that's true. The vast majority of people avoid those online snuff films like the plague

I know what you mean. I think it's that I take violence more "seriously" as a result of maturity.

When you're younger you kinda laugh or mentally brush it aside, now I actually contemplate it.

*Bittaker-Norris

Here's the transcript for anyone who doesn't believe in capital punishment.
