Top three favorite films

Post your top three favorites
I used to enjoy, with all due respect Tom "Mission impossible 55" Cruise and Ryan "canthal tilt cool guy" Gosling
But Javier and Jared both have gained my admiration with these two films in the past year.
also
>jagsbarro
>gabitan yagsburro
>yugsburro
has definitely made me enjoy Javiers performance no matter what the film is.Still want to see Pirates 5, especially after finishing the first just yesterday...

Drive still holds as my favorite, and Tom Cruise always makes an instant classic. But these three earned their place at my top three.

Eventually it will expand to a top five or a top ten, but for now post your top three.

Drop Dead Fred
Badlands
The Burbs

I can rewatch these and never get tired.

a half (you)
Sick, I've been wanting to watch the Burbs

Apocalypse Now
The Place Beyond the Pines
There Will Be Blood

TPBTP definitely goes down as a really emotional movie for me, still have TWBB on dvd but need to get to it. Heard Apocalypse now is super long

The theatrical cut is 2 hours and 27 minutes long. Don't bother watching the Redux version (the longer one). It ruins a perfect masterpiece.

Matrix
Forrest Gump
Fight Club

>no country for old men
garbage

Yeah I heard about that special version, two and a half hours is long enough for me...still trying to stomach the idea of going to see bladerunner with my gf for something she probably won't want 2 hours and 43 minutes of....nor understand, like me since I didn't even see the original BR
Watched a bit of those
ru-
Watchmojo spoiled the ending but it was still amazing
no country for cucks like you for speaking such blasphemous filth

never seen such a reddit post before

I'd recommend you branch out and try to watch some older stuff also why Requiem? Are you a recovering addict or something it's a great film but I just can't imagine it really sticking with anyone enough to become their favorite film.
Mine are
>2001
>Barry Lyndon
>the fellowship of the ring

>le epic categorize everything down to websites
as if that isn't cringey itself

>I'd recommend you branch out
>2001
>Barry Lyndon
>the fellowship of the ring
kekerino

I was saying that because all of his movies are modern not because I didn't like his list

Knight of Cups
Voices Through Time
Inherent Vice

I'm not a recovering addict, I just appreciate it because the guy who ran the 48 hour film contest at my university compared my work to Darren Aronovsky's and after watching Requiem it was just so strong, it's like getting kicked in the stomach watching that ending and how everyone's lives turned out. Then looking back at the short film my gf and I made (we won 1st place)

Made me appreciate it even more.
We shouldn't like or dislike anyone's list, it's here to post our top three favorites not bash them like chimps
Never seen Inherent Vice, but it must carry something with it to be someone's favorite.

>The Great Beauty
>Good Will Hunting

Harold and Maude
Badlands
Watership Down

2001
Clockwork Orange
Stalker

Runner ups

Solaris
Blade Runner
Fury Road

These come todo my mind. If i think more i can remember and change some of these. I tend to not rewatch the same movie in years even if i really like it.

1. 2001
2. EoE
3. Pulp Fiction

Goodfellas
Shawshank Redemption
Reservoir Dogs

pleb lmao, tell yours?
What is ran even about?
wow an actual polite man
huh wah huh wah babbys first intewnet argument

Ran is about a warlord who's old and wants to retire and live a simple life in his last years. He decides to divide everything he has among his 3 sons and chaos ensues in the process. It's loosely based on King Lear by Shakespeare.

Watch Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels if you haven't already.

Bourne Identity
Bourne Ultimatum
and Bourne Supremacy

primer
the departed
2001: a space odyssey

Casino Royale
Goldfinger
You Only Live Twice

Manhattan
La Dolce Vita
The Apartment

I Liked the short film user was pretty disturbing

Absolute plebs. When you watch better films most of these will no longer be on your lists. Everyone else's were fine.

Drive and Heat are easily two of the greatest films of all time, what are yours? BR2049 or something I bet you fucking pleb

Thank you, maybe this year we’ll het dark comedy again

2001 isn't Sup Forums approved everytime there's a thread about it half the people are hating on it

This guy has the best taste so far.

Tree of Life
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
Bad Lieutenant

Other than Bourne films, I also like:
Collateral
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
and Bruce Almighty (watched it around 93 times)

I said most; Heat, Apoc Now, and 2001 are good choices. Drive is fine.

Easily
nice bait
if you wont post your list my ass you can kiss!
I love Jim

that short film is irredeemably awful

The Godfather
The Quiet Man
Highlander

My top 3 favs are Lawrence of Arabia (best movie ever made), Stalker (10/10), and Akira (flawed but I feel like I should put one animated picture in, and I love it).

Inland Empire
Punch Drunk Love
American Movie

Fallen Angels
Raging Bull
Trainspotting

Yeah Jim is geat! I sincerely like those movies the most. I don't like people pretending to like the top of the top movies just because they have complex plot, or are very well acclaimed. I'm womdering why no one mentioned Taxi driver or Leon the professional for that matter...

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Badlands
Persona / The Holy Mountain ( can't decide which one I like more)

Drive
BR2049
The Shining

Highlander
The Big Lebowski
Drive

Is this bait? Asking honestly

You have the favorites of a pretentious faggot.

The Thing
The Man who fell to Earth
Three caballeros

don't just call for bait. Fucking debate me you god damn faggot.

Never seen
Never seen
Tried getting into it and I couldn’t but I do think highly of all three just by its looks and what I hear if that matters
Good point, and yeah but I’d say my favorite might be the mask

Drive
Zulu
M&C

I disagree greatly with your comment, but I think your taste is quite good

You have exquisite taste

I moved a few years ago and lost my three caballeros vhs in the move. I was gutted. I read that the dvd gets rid of the things that makes jose and I think poncho(the rooster) great animated bits, ie the comically animated cigar smoking and the shooting off the pistol as he does the hat dance. I'd bet they removed the scenes of them going to the beach and hitting on girls in bikinis too.

I was specifically referring to The Thing. Don't care about the goofy spic shit.

Blade Runner 2049 and drive are two of your ALL TIME FAV MOVIES?! And you don’t get why I’m calling it bait? Have you seen under 100 movies?

Van wilder
American pie the naked mile
Freddy got fingered

11/10 most patrician so far

chronicle
inception
mad max fury road

Troll 2
Leprachaun in the hood
Full Metal Jacket

At least you're being honest.

The Fountain
Donnie Darko
Watchmen

Yeah, I know, I'm a faggot etc..
