If the game reset, how is she still a glitch?

If the game reset, how is she still a glitch?

It's part of her powerset.

if the VA is an adult it's okay right?

bad programming

Who cares? The annoying little shit has a limited lifespan compared to the rest. That's all I give a shit about.

Her teleport is tethered to the powerup system during regular gameplay post-reset

Her glitch got turned into her special racing ability. Now she's just broken.

Her plot makes no sense.

Your plot makes no sense.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Fun Fact: In the Japanese dub she's actually voiced by a teenage girl.

Do the other girls have power ups too?
How can a character so blatantly OP be allowed to race?

I like to think that in exchange for not getting power ups she has a perma power. She will never blue turtle shell equivalent you

*DABS*

Seeing how the screen had a change bar and the cabinet a button to activate it. I'd say yes.

Either that was always her special power from start (which makes no fucking sense), its a power given to the main character since it was show she was the center of the world (which makes a little bit of sense) or she mastered the technique and doesn't need to be a glitch to do it anymore (which kinda of makes sense when you think about it)

Or its just bad writing, i dunno

One Sweet Race showed that each racer has a special attached to their kart. Taffyta's was to release tire spikes, Rancis's was to release an oil slick.

Vanellope's is pretty much "press X to win."

Yes they should have probably called her a bug instead

But then it would've been confusing because of the bug things

Also glitch sounds cooler so

I hope in the sequel they just give all the other players equally crazy specials abilities then outright nerfing her.

She probably can't drift for shit or something.

Movie showed she's a great drifter.

Worst character.

she just jumps forward is all. it bypasses obstacles but she's also got a limited number of jumps

Best character.

how annoying she will be in the sequel?

Then her handling is shit or her max speed is below average or something else.

This isn't rocket science, if she's really good at one thing she's not gonna be good at another. Nobody's playing a game for very long if the entire roster except one character isn't worth considering.

>Either that was always her special power from start (which makes no fucking sense)

How does it make no sense? All the racers have a special power.

>candy themed racing game
>main character's special power is glitch like teleportation
It makes as much sense as Mario using a handgun, why not give her a candy themed ability or something that wouldn't look so out of place, plus it being broken as hell which is a terrible idea for a character that would be available so often, teleportation sounds like something that would fit a secret character so players wouldn't just cheat all the time

maybe she was a secret character, she was the ruler in this game.

She really wasn't that bad past like her first few scenes though

>why not give her a candy themed ability or something that wouldn't look so out of place,

You mean like caltrops or an oil slick or a huge fireball? Oh, I'm sorry, those powers are already used by other racers.

>plus it being broken as hell

Except you don't know that it's broken, because you've never played the game. For all you know, it might be perfectly balanced.

Remember what they said about the race deciding the "randomly generated" racers in the game, Vanellope was the best racer in the game so her spot was pretty much guaranteed
>Except you don't know that it's broken, because you've never played the game
During the ending scene, when Ralph is monologuing about how much better their lives have become, he sees a little girl playing Sugar Rush as Vanellope, he comments on how players love her, glitch or not (this part only raises more questions), the important is that the player used her skill to literally teleport in front of another racer and win first place, unless it would have some long cooldown it would be very unbalanced in a player vs player

She wasn't a glitch. Her code got hacked, which resulted in her character glitching to victory. The hack that displaced her as the main character had the unintended effect of making her OP.

The VA is a jewess that sounds like a chainsmoker.

You do you, man.

she's the final boss on the games racing circuit. the final boss always cheats. like how all of a sudden they have basically no health and you have full health and they OHK your ass.

That would actually explain everything, like how in some racing games you have the CPU suddenly going extremely fast to catch up with the player even though he was really far ahead

As the boss she would have this mechanic programmed which would manifest as the teleport

>unless it would have some long cooldown it would be very unbalanced in a player vs player

It's tied to the same powerup system as every other racer's power. It was already in the game, the people who originally made the game coded Vanellope with that power. They balanced it.

Use some fucking critical thinking skills, dude. Goddamn.

>Nobody's playing a game for very long if the entire roster except one character isn't worth considering.
But everyone will always rush to choose Taffyta first.

The entire movie was retarded.

Why didn't Felix fix her with his hammer?

Regardless the little scamp needs to be nerfed.

OP bull shit

nerf this dyke bitch now

did they even talk to each other at any point in the movie?

Shes a glitch in the same way rocket jumping was a glitch. An unintended side effect of a weapon that became a part of the game.

yup. the proposed idea is you race one racer at a time till you take on her on as the final boss. since she's the final boss and the hardest to beat she's also the one with the cheapest most hax cheating ability since every racer according to some promotional materials has a special ability.

user they look like this forever. They aren't even children in canon I believe.

RAM vs flash memory

At the end of the movie, you see the moppet girl playing as Vanellope, and she uses the Glitch. In the HUD, one out of three sugar cubes disappears when she does so, confirming that it's her canon power up, but also shows that Sugar Rush racers can only use their special power ups 3 times.

As for why none of the players in the arcade noticed a missing player for years, my head canon is Litwaks full of normie a who would never notice. Maybe the sequel will show that Turbos were a problem in arcades nation-wide though.

The game's gimmick was that there was a random selection of racers available every day, so her missing from the roster shouldn't raise any eyebrows unless you were already looking for her and realized she's never there.

Really makes you think.

They're referred to as "kids" by the other characters. They will always be kids.

It's not like they go to some candy-based bar to drink root beers and smoke pixie sticks while shooting the breeze about how the day went.

Its not a bug, its a feature.
