Go back to your blog Kyle, You are drunk.
John K. made a cartoon popular with kids and adults alike, Kyle made a poorly animated waifu bait.
That's it.
Because even a blind person can see that John's had a huge influence on his style but when he actually met the guy he couldn't stand him just like 99% of the rest of the people who've met John.
David Feiss and Mike Judge say otherwise.
the better question is why aren't we posting more pictures of vambre
He also likes Beavis and Butthead, I wonder how it feels for Kyle that John and Mike are buddies.
IMHO, Magicswords feels like a poorly drawing and animated "Ren & Stimpy meets Slayers"
Here you go.
...
A poorly animated waifu bait that took 15 years to be made, I might add.
So? it's the "Duke Nukem forever" of cartoons.
No matter how man years it takes to be made...Shit will always be shit.
...
How have Magisword's ratings been, anyway?
>John K. likes Beavis and Butthead
That's a surprise. I was sure John would hate it because "muh on model"
That was a pretty cool story, I like this guy, whats his name?
Those interviews are a real joy to watch. It's a shame to see John with so much energy and so many ideas, and yet we somehow got Adult Party out of it.
It's why Nick censoring him was necessary, he had to find clever ways of getting around subject matter and it would end up being funnier than just being balant.
ie "Magic nose goblins" vs "Magic boogers." Which is funnier?
Ah, just like Invader Aim.
It's weird since it seems like he knows what he's talking about, but then he turns around and gives us Firedogs Part 2, which was excruciating. I've seen all the Adult Party episodes twice and that one is by far the worst. It's a shame Life Sucks never got completed, since that one actually utilized the Adult format to do something genuinely good (albeit with Eric Bauza's obnoxious crying).
It reminds me of seeing interviews with George Lucas where he makes good points about how Hollywood doesn't take enough risks and yadda yadda. Then he turns around and makes Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
*Zim
That's what I get for going on Sup Forums while I diarrhea in my bathtub
He thinks KotH is one of the few good story driven cartoons. He also appreciates that Judge doesn't draw humans to all be aesthetically pleasing and formulaic. People look fucking weird which is true of real life.
Ah, that makes sense. King of the Hill does handle story really well, and Hank's design is subtly hilarious. At least to me.
There's a point that I wish ore people would bring up when talking about John K. The fact that Disney and so many other animation studios believe that everything needs to be perfect and pleasing to the eye. Humans have to look GOOD and when they're ugly, it still has to be nice on the eyes. A controlled ugliness.
That's what I like about Mike Judge, he doesn't give a fuck. Even his "attractive" characters look kind of odd and have awkward bodies. He only makes someone super attractive when it's called for. Even then, humans all have some strange quirk. B&B was good at that, but KotH was AMAZING at it.
I thought John K., disliked anime? Glad he can recognize KOTH as the greatest anime.
Yeah, John K's quote about how everyone is ugly on the inside of their nose) paraphrasing horribly) stuck with me.
Mike Judge is underrated as an animator but he's also underrated as a satirist. Not Idiocracy, which people feel so witty about calling a documentary, but the nuanced way he pokes fun at everyone yet isn't afraid to really call shit out is overlooked. To be honest, I think Mike does what Matt Stone and Trey Parker claim to do, but Mike does it far better. South Park is so heavy handed in its politics that it feels like the show is trying to make my opinions for me, whereas King of the Hill and even The Goode Family mock conservatives and liberals but don't give me a clear indication as to what Mike Judge's political leanings are. He's simply... pro-thought and anti-stupid.
It's a simple case of idoltary.
When you idolize a person, you perceive them as you think they are. And, when you encounter them outside of your fantasy and face them in reality, they reveal their true selves.
John K., is notorious for doing this, he not only destoryed Kyle. He destoryed Katie to and caused their relationship into ruined.
I just googled him and he clearly wrote his own Wikipedia page
If John wrote his own wiki page it would still be a stub.
John K. also shat the bed with his only good creation. As it turns out the only good things about Ren and Stimpy were because he couldn't do whatever he wanted. The network limitations MADE Ren and Stimpy great.
Oh my god he looks so disgusting.
>his fucked up face
>that thin balding hair
>unibrow
>shitty attempt at muttonchops
>sausage fingers
he's so... gross.
Its a shame he couldn't see that for himself. However the studio shouldn't be having a shit fit for him being late with his work when they keep causing delays.
Too bad John K didn't try and shoot a little lower with his ambition. However you don't need to be all that ambitious to have execs breathing down your neck. Just ask Ralph Bakshi how much shit they gave him over his works.
>However the studio shouldn't be having a shit fit for him being late with his work when they keep causing delays.
What? I thought it was his perfectionist attitude that was responsible for the delays.
Well of course, cartoons are meant to be both entertaining and a form of escapism after all. There's gotta be at least some form of idealism even on the visual side of things.
Lukewarm
The inner machinations of John K's head may be a mystery to most of his audience, nay, his own studio and producers at times, but at his worst he's leagues above the putrid filth of Kyle Carrozza, an individual so wrapped up in his own putrid display of self gratification that he neglects basic hygiene, fashion, and grooming standards, this lack of self respect extends to his work which is similarly lacking in quality, much like his unibrow.
Look out, Sup Forums, this tripfag's got claws! Haha... Shut the fuck up, Boco.
nigger lol
not-Boco, anyways.
I wouldn't take blame away from John for being a perfectionist, but there were apparently many cases where he had a finished concept put forward and they axed it forcing him to redo or edit it which delayed things.
This just built up frustration.
I'm not saying don't have a person or people saying no, but don't get pissy when it helps to result in serious delays to the show at hand.
John K. Likes anime as long as it has tons of fanservice and boobs.
That's sad.
Well at least Ren & Stimpy animation was great, even amazing at times.
Magicswords on the other hand is very hard to watch.
Granted. John may not know humor, but he does know a thing or two about solid animation.
>slightly over 1 season of Ren and Stimpy
>Ripping Friends
>Adult Party
Ouch. It's also funny how much he talks up his mentor Ralph Bakshi, yet none of his films are remembered, except Fritz the Cat, barely. For all the talk of him being a "legendary animator", it all looked like (bad) off model, heavily rotoscoped, low frame rate shit with reused animation. The only exception was Cool World, which was well animated but poorly written.
John talks about how Mighty Mouse was a a historical moment for animation, but I've never heard anyone else bring it up. I'm not even sure it really exists. I've never seen any evidence of it.
Close But No Cigar was a damn fine music video, though.
>That hair
>Thick ass mutton chops
>Unibrow
>Weeb shirt
I swear his mom must've had a genie lamp in her basement or something.
Fucking otaku, dudes.
>not wanting to look like a Go Nagai character
Kill yourself.
...
>people still think "I had an idea back in college" = 15 years in the making
>Elephant feet.
GROSS.
>but he used to know a thing or two about solid animation.
FTFY
Jesus Christ look at him, Would it kill animators to not look like they gotten a haircut or bathed in a month?
Isn't everyone?
John K. has so to many failures, cementing him as a one hit wonder of sorts and is known to be a prick and a creep.
But man Ren and Stimpy was a wild fucking ride and he knew what he was doing before he went the deep end.
Look at his shirt, There's no hope for Kyle.
Wow, you weren't kidding. It's like he doesn't even care anymore as long as there's moving lines.
Is he Ken Penders's lost twin?
Holy shit!!
It just need the neck beard and weeb shirt.
At least Judge doesn't make them unbearably ugly like how John K's shit is
Fuck, that was incomprehensible. He takes sight gags to such an extreme that they're no longer jokes and are instead just weird nonsense. What does the actual script to this look like? I'm imagining a 5 year olds journal.
And the way he clumsily pays homage to his favorite cartoons in ways that both alienate the viewer and get completely lost in translation. Why does he seemingly become more amateurish over time?
Also... I watched all of Booboo Goes Wild. I was waiting for it to get funny ;_;
>What does the actual script to this look like?
Remember, he doesn't use scripts, he uses "storyboards" (Read: shitty notepad doodles cobbled together into a sequence)
>What does the actual script to this look like?
He wanted the "gag" to be 5 minutes long with Grandpa telling homer that everyone was doomed to burn in hell.
What the fuck am I even looking at
>wacky moving overexaggerated things: the animation
...
I don't know why I forgot about storyboards, given my love for pre movie Spongebob.
Still, I can't imagine looking at the storyboard for that couch gag and actually following it.
>5 minute long couch gag
Holy shit, even Seth MacFarlane wouldn't do that
Also, sometimes I feel bad ragging on John, but I love Billy West so much that it absolves me of my guilt. I just remember that legendary takedown of John he did on some forum in the late 90s/early 00s
Jonh is working for Nick again so....
Mighty Mouse was pretty cool at times.
Bakshi's Wizards and Heavy Traffic was pretty cool, and at the time, his adaptation of the forst two LotR films were pretty good despite the dated design and that fursuit Balrog.
He knows how to handle atmosphere, and he treats his animation like jazz in a way I like.
how does he think this looks good?
>"Yeah, 10 bucks - but at least I got to see some tits out of it"
I mean, he's not COMPLETELY wrong.
It's so dense
how many cartoon networks show have you made ?
but at least I got to see some tits out of it
0. I've also had 0 failed shows, so that puts me ahead.
Any other questions, Kyle?
god, at least John K tries to be subtle when he's here
doing nothing is not ahead idiot
Dude there are tons of people who make cartoons and aren't celebrities.
Someone made The Day My Buttt Went Psycho. They're not a celebrity. And neither is anyone who made a completely forgettable cartoon that never made a dent on popular culture.
Fuck, even people who made successful cartoons like Stephen Hillenburg aren't "celebrities" and people barely know them.
And Kyle... well... he's an Animaniacs fanboy who managed to weasel into the animation industry. He's not a celebrity and he doesn't make good cartoons. But at least he makes cartoons that he enjoys, that's at least a little bit better than soulless corporate cartoons. Too bad they're so shit.
>the "Duke Nukem forever" of cartoons.
pretty sure that's Cans without Labels
looks like devils that I saw while I was dreaming
fuck, I'm scared
I was trying my best to describe that, asswipe. But still, not having anything better to pitch all those years is really lame.
Why is that? I still have my dignity, and my dreams aren't shattered :D
Also, I like watching cartoons but I don't want to make them. I would rather teach English in Istanbul, or maybe Moscow depending on how the world goes.
But hey, good luck becoming the next Matt Groening. You'll get your big break any day now, buddy.
Go back to your blog Kyle, You are drunk again.
>those nipples
She's gross, user.
How's this working out for you, Kyle? What should I expect here? Are you going to send two massive walls of text berating everyone in this thread who dares look at you with a critical eye? Is that what you're going to do, Kyle?
Source?

I can't believe Bob Camp is still Butthurt after all these years, Also that guy trying to sell his book by making Bob Camp talk shit about Jonh K over and over, gets annoying after a while.
John K may be an arsehole but he can draw better than this guy.
But this guys working in TV, so you decide who the winner is here.
When I was a kid it was too subtle for me. It wasn't beating me over the head with jokes.
As I've gotten older, I've begun to appreciate KotH more. It's a very subtle portrait of the south. It's making fun of the aspects of southern society worth making fun of but also making fun of people from outside that world too.
Not like when Family Guy makes fun of the south and everyones an inbred cowboy electrocuting retarded babies.
Muh dick more pls
I think John K wins because he doesn't have a neckbeard.
This anime must have been fucking legendary because I know nothing about it outside what the orange hair character looked like, but I knew the moment I even saw magisword or whatever this show is called I couldn't instantly tell she looked this character I knew nothing about it.
Should I watch this anime? It obviously left an impact
I would've preferred to see this

The last page is genuinely terrifying.
>Firedogs Part 2, which was excruciating
Come on, the fire chief was a great character.
Same here, John K. got talent he just doesn't got time.
Watch it, it's better than this MagicSwords ripoff shit in every single way.

I'm a huge fan of Spumco and the original Ren and Stimpy and for a while convinced myself that John got a bum rap on R&S and I'm sure Nick rejecting stuff they had previously approved didn't help production.
But every project he's worked on has had production problems, you hear from people that have worked with him that he treats people in a hugely unprofessional manner.
You read his blog and he has such a grasp of drawing fundamentals and even has the perfect functioning production system in his mind but can never seem to make it work in reality and I think it's hi personality.
I donated to Cans without labels and I like what I've seen so far but I knew going in it wouldn't be done by February the following year or whenever he said it was.
I convinced myself that I was happy just to get my rewards and see a cartoon eventually but it's been 5 YEARS! Even by Spumco standards that's unacceptable.
You can watch it almost completed on Youtube anyway
youtube.com
Well at least the animation looks great.
