>tfw americans still don't get this movie
>claps and sharts when big meanie Germans get brutally murdered like literally Hitler in the theater scene

what is there to get more than """bad guys""" died

Nothing

>Mfw all four of my great-granddads served in the Wehrmacht
>Mfw i literally can't deal with this scene cuz the epigenetic memory is still too fresh

Jewish revenge porn.

OP you complete retard, he says bravely.

>did you get that for killing Jews?
>bravely

that isn't what he said

I think being German makes this film into a whole different and even better experience

Shame they didn't kill your cunt of a grandmother as well

it's a yoke

good goy

>great-granddads
ha youngin, my opa served them, not ur-opa. although being drafted into Wehrmacht when you're 15 kinda isn't the kind of serving by choice I believe

yes, it's a goddamn shame they didn't killed your entire family like the cockroaches you are so you wouldn't be here to make us read this shit

let what go through?

bad germ

What did they mean by this?

The white American looks more like a subhuman than the black one. Americans are literally disgusting.

why is fascism usually the most aesthetic form of government?

please realize im not defending or promoting the ideology.

*blocks your path*

Americans are subhuman NATO niggers

This

Napola is still the best Nazi themed movie though

youtube.com/watch?v=mRAktdhdpNc

based

you've got it backwards. you just like fascist aesthetics. They're usually built around themes of strength and unity against an enemy.

beauty is power, men follow their hearts

youtube.com/watch?v=PDwlwXb_wWE

dude fucking LOL i love dead nazis like inglerious basterds and wolfenstein lol fuck nazis fucking ANTI-CHRIST

>please realize im not defending or promoting the ideology.

Relax pal
You're on Sup Forums dude not on your campus you're free to express what you think

14/88 remember the 6 trillion nosey merchants they dindu nuffin

damn, it's almost as if Germans didn't take their lives in droves like the Japanese did, so when they had no other option left, they decided to go into captivity like any reasonable man in their position would do,

>You're on Sup Forums dude
...no?

The basterds and jew girls are shown to be pretty insane while none of the Germans except for the jew hunter are shown to be that bad.

Triggered

jews cuck themselves to the thought of strong virile nazis. So much so that jewland had to ban porn of it

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalag_fiction

If they'd have known what awaited them in the hands of the Soviets you can bet most of them would have fought to the death.
Fuck, most of the them might as well have just eaten a bullet and avoided going through that commie hell march just to arrive at the same destination anyway.

truth

Cowards

And even then, the Jew hunter is not a tried-and-true Nazi, he's a sociopathic opportunist. He doesn't even believe in the ideology.

That's the joke dude, these edgelords have swept over every board on the site. You're not on Sup Forums, you're on "Sup Forums-tards discuss films"

This is what yanks actually believe
>Remer said that if the USSR ever did invade Germany, he would "show the Russians the way to the Rhine" and that SRP members would "post themselves as traffic policemen, spreading their arms so that the Russians can find their way through Germany as quickly as possible".

Because Fascism is all about the appearance and style over the substance.
Most of Italian fascism was more rhetoric than actual ideology. Hitler was inspired by Mussolini.

There's as much pushback as there is people pushing Sup Forums bullshit

They swept in from r\the_donald to Sup Forums then to the other boards.

>Because Fascism is all about the appearance and style over the substance.

is there an ideology that has both?

Edgy nig

Man, if we could downvote these fags it would be so much easier to push them back

t. user who came here in 2013

hate to repeat myself but
...no?

How about not being an annoying prick in response to annoying pricks, and just discussing television and film and ignoring them?

Not sure, but usually when a government is trying very hard to look good/larger than life/inspiring, it's because it's authoritarian and needs its subjects to look up to it.

Ah it warms my heart knowing redditors can't remove opinions they don't like on this website

but isnt that almost every government ever?

lol I feel good for single-handedly starting this meme.

That's because you're dumb

Imagine being this cucked and self hating

Thank the Americans.

God save Hitler.

DDR is the best

>suggesting fascism = national socialism
>"Hitler was inspired by Mussolini"
citation needed? in what fucking sense you brainlet? what an absolute load of fucking shit this post is, complete nonsense

you don't understand the terms you're speaking of for one, and you're outright fucking revisionist in your understanding of history, jesus christ you're fucking stupid

What are you talking about? It makes me look at the Basterds in a way more neutral light.

Did I say it makes my German guilt fire up again? No. It makes me look at Hugo Stieglitz as a psychopath, since they never show why he kills tons of german officers. It makes me cunfused if I should chuckle or rage against Lt. Aldo Rain (however that's spelled), since he can't distinguish SS guys and Wehrmacht guys, and his troops who think Wehrmacht soldiers job is to kill Jews.
It's special, because I understand more languages than a fucking Burgertard, since half of the movie is spoken in another language.
It makes me laugh at the thought that many Burgers probably cheered and clapped like monkeys when the Basterds shot up the cinema. How they lack any form of nuance.

Cause Jews don't behave the way Sup Forumstards think they do?

So were the Jews the bad guys in the film?

...

Truly one of the best feelings.

Not necessarily, they had worthy motivations. The audience members themselves are the bad guys.

Nah. It’s a repost from a while back.

Unironically communism.

Only Stalinism and Maoism

>suggesting fascism = national socialism
I didn't suggest they're the same. You're an idiot though.

>The Brown shirt would probably not have existed without the Black shirt. The march on Rome in 1922 was one of the turning points of history. The mere fact that anything of the sort could be attempted and could succeed, gave us impetus... If Mussolini had been outdistanced by Marxism, I don’t know whether we could have succeeded in holding out. At that time National Socialism was a very fragile growth. As I walked with him in the gardens of the Villa Borghese, I could easily compare his profile with that of the Roman busts, and I realized he was one of the Caesars. There's no doubt at all that Mussolini is the heir of the great men of that period.

>How did (((they))) let this go through?
Because Amerifats and all millennial audiences are literal brainlets who can't understand if they are being trolled. The only thing they saw in this movie is "le punch a nazi kill le Hitler XD", while the movie was criticizing every retarded power fantasy in general.

Amerikikes are the lowest of the low. Literal slaves of the Jew and black cuckold fetistists.

There's nothing to "get" about this movie. Any pretense of this film operating with some kind of ironic deeper meaning is just window dressing there to make you think more highly of it, or give it more consideration in your mind, than is due in any way whatsoever. It is pretty straightforwardly celebratory of all the brutality visited upon others by the Basterds. Any sort of "meta commentary" that people think exists, exists only to the extent of it being a sort of easter egg, a little footnote, a headscratcher for certain audience members to ruminate on briefly...

"Wow, it's so ironic and poetic, the nazis are cheering for this display of wartime brutality on screen just like we're cheering for a display of wartime brutality on screen this nazi guy is sad about stuff he did during the war, he doesn't think of himself as a hero at all wow war really is hell really makes me think!!!" before going back to unironically laughing or cheering as the two Jews shoot up the theater and gorily disfigure Hitler in great detail with a shower of bullets.

This movie has some vague nods towards, or operates under a pretense of having some veiled greater message, like a meta commentary on the glorification of violence and some vague notion that maybe just maybe certain Germans are meant to be sympathetic at times because of the brutality enacted by Rain's group of Jews, but it's not anything real, it's shallowly presented and transparently lacking in any sincerity...

TL;DR THERE IS NOTHING TO GET. IT IS REVENGE PORNOGRAPHY WITH ONLY THE SHALLOWEST NOTION OF ANY DEEPER MESSAGE EXISTING TO SERVE AS JUSTIFICATION AND AS WINDOW DRESSING TO MAKE IT APPEAR DEEPER OR MORE THAN IT REALLY IS. THIS FILM IS NOT THAT CLEVER.

Because you're not supposed to root for the Basterds. The scene is there to show the audience that they're practically no better than the Nazis and they're all dumb as stumps too.

That's the problem. There are no sympathetic characters in this movie. You don't really root for anyone so you don't really care if the characters die or not.

Tarantino was exposing Amerikikes as being "no better than Nazis".

Theatres full of obcese pants-sharting manatees hooting and hollering at the mass violence on screen, while their own country goes to shit and they don't lift a finger to stop it like the Germans did, they celebrate and revel in it like the filth they are.

I agree. I liked some of the performances but at end of the day Waltz stole the show. His scenes are practically all I remember. I enjoyed Django way better. Still haven't seen Hateful Eight yet.

You're ridiculously wrong, the movie is about revenge like many of Tarantino's films are. Are you just ignoring the first scene of the movie where the Nazis are introduced as being evil? The Basterds' methods are brutal but in no way are they being painted as the bad guys.

no, it's not, it's there to trick you into thinking there is any semblance of that message actually being portrayed in the film, there is not, there is no consequence or meaning to this whatsoever, the violence is glorified all the same despite some throwaway fucking scene that you were stupid enough to believe signified something or was in any way meaningfully revelatory

the jew who is rebuked with the "bravery" response does not slacken in his resolve, the soldier is shown spasming and curling up like a dying insect with a gleeful sense of brutal detail when he takes the hit, the followup isn't shown but bearjew keeps going until the guy's head is presumably rendered into a paste, the other germans betray his sacrificial actions immediately as well as the lives of their comrades

he's not fucking exposing anything, the movie's glorification of anti-German violence is meant to be masturbatory, you are being fooled if you think there is any sincere message like this, the bare fat trimmings of a message that supposedly exists only does so for the purpose of justifying as well as falsely elevating this base film higher than it deserves to be

Shoshanna is up there. She deserves her vengeance. I think she is the only hero in the movie

You're one level too shallow. The audience reaction is the element you're missing. For the most viwers it's just a gore fest, but to some who understand what Tarantino has managed to pull off when they look at the rest of the audiences reaction, it's more. They notice how the movie is critiquing the violence and then just does it anyways.
They see how the rest of the audience is just the same as the military brass pigs who cheer at that propaganda flick in Shoshannas cinema. THIS is the beauty of the film to me. It feels kind of like arrogance, but apparently most viewers really didn't get it so I still think it is justified

this. Inglourious Basterds is more sympathetic to all of its Nazi characters than it is its Basterds characters. Only brainlets think otherwise.

bait

because facism is a very western european thing and western europeans and responsible for all the beauty in the world. From architecture to women, all other ethnicities play in dirt and cannot compete

>fascism is a very western european thing
Not really.

and even the. her revenge is rather maniacal and cruel

Most viewers "don't get it" as you said. Also as you said, the movie continues on anyway. It's not beautiful or meaningful in any way. It's a shallow, inconsequential message not even giving time of day by the film itself. The only prevailing fact of this film at the end of the day is radical glorification of the violence therein. That is, in the end, the takeaway. For all intents and purposes the unironic glorification of it is absolutely the message. You're just intelligent enough to realize what the literally fucking retarded other 99 members of the 100 person audience fail to. Not intelligent enough to go a step beyond and see it for the bullshit it is.

There is a message that most viewers don't fucking get. That message is also really shallow and inconsequential even if you fucking do "get" it.

only fucking pseudo-intellectual brainlet fucks like you actually fall for that bullshit

hook line and sinker, this film only has the pretense of a greater message you fucking morons

>great-granddads
underageb&;

>italy
>germany
>spain
c'mon now

this. there were no protagonists in the Tarantino remake.

It comments on how we dehumanize our war enemies when most of them were just following orders. It makes this obvious by showing the Germans cheering at the movie about the sniper killing Americans (the same way the Americans cheer at nazis being killed)

He's not even German. Just working for Hitler.

Just a reminder that your life wouldn't be any better if the axis had won.

Wasn't the movie theater in the film filled with Nazi officers though? People who knew what the Nazis were doing?

>The only thing they saw in this movie is "le punch a nazi kill le Hitler XD", while the movie was criticizing every retarded power fantasy in general.
Yes, but im not sure, given Tarantinos sjw-like behaviour regarding slavery, if this was his INTENDED message.

>Tarantinos sjw-like behaviour regarding slavery,
fucking wut

>le just following orders
if your boss at a mcjob told you to kill someone would you follow their orders
no because your innate sense of right and wrong overrides that
nazis chose to ignore the little voice in them telling them their actions were wrong, or straight up didn't have a conscious in the first place

It would be demonstrably worse. Me sitting here shitposting about whatever I want would not ever be fucking allowed and that's assuming any sort of free internet would have taken off and not have been a government only project.

Germans have no fighting spirit
>have to develop nukes because the japs were waiting on the beaches with sharp sticks

It’s not that they were just following orders but they believed they were doing the right thing and fighting for they’re country (or they had no choice). Obviously officers that killed and tortured civilian Jews were immoral but i was just talking about common soldiers
