Watching lotr with sister

>watching lotr with sister
>she thinks borrowmear died cause he's the bad guy xD

He has a bad guy goatee. Serious mistake on the filmmaking part to let this slip by when you're marketing the movie to normies.

why was he good?
nigga was probably gonna take over everything after restoring gondor to some former glory.

Boromir kinda looks like Ned Stark

now that you mention it

wow

holy crap

He's not redeemed until the next two movies. In fellowship he's a dick.

DUDE IF YOURE NOT ROYALTY THEN YOU CAN'T BE A GOOD LEADER

ONLY THE RIGHTFUL KING CAN MAKE GONDOR GREAT AGAIN

What did Tolkien mean by this?

...

Those of low birth are only good for being catapulted into ogres' mouths

SAURONISM IS THE RELIGION OF PEACE YOU RAYCISS!

Barry Mear gave his life so the Ringbearer could escape. He's redeemed, sonny boy.

wtf tolkein is such a hack

Every white male is a bad guy

>they don't know about the extended version

Yknow what, I'll bite
>brave, passionate, loyal and highly skilled warrior
>loving brother and son his father could be proud of
>noble, with a strong heart and sense of duty
>willing to sacrifice his own life for the wellbeing of others
>wants to do right by his people so badly that he allows himself to be corrupted for a chance at helping them
Boromir was good desu

Everyone thinks Boromir is a bad guy the first time they watch the movie

the rightful king in this case is literally physically superior, belonging to a different breed of men that are far stronger in mind and body and live like three times as much as regular plebs

So is Denethor you umb film fag

Kshatriya

The extended gives a lot more insight on how Boromir and Faramir are. I really liked that because in the normal version you only hear what the relationship between Boromir and Faramir is in contrast to their father's view on them.

Denethor descends from a cousin of Isildur's line and they've mixed with a lot of normal men, remember only 3 ships or so of numenoreans escaped the catastrophe so they were pretty rare and civil wars and sauron wiped more of them out. Hence the lines are extremely dilute, though Gandal does remark that Denethor is a very rare example where his numenorean lineage is almost totally true in him.

I remember falling asleep to cinema...how long is this extended version?

For Return of the King, over 4 hours, for the other two just under

>all those objections just to agree in the last sentence

>watching lotr with sister
>aragorn and arwen scene
>sister hugs me very hard
not sure what she meant by that
