Steven Spielberg is the best director of all time. Let me say why:
-He has made so many different movies and all of them executed well.
That's why he is the best.
Look at the huge contrast between Shindlet's List and Jurassic Park.
Perhaps there is no other director who pulled out so many unforgetable classics and masterpieces like Spielberg.

I agree. Can't remember the last time I got excited for a Spielberg movie.
Same with Tom Hanks. He used to be THE guy, if he was in a movie, you knew it was good. Now I just don't care.
I enjoyed Bridge of Spies for what it was, which was mainly just Spielberg being sentimental. Not really something I'd rewatch all that much but it's nice to have a movie occasionally where a good guy sticks to his guns and wins against a large force.
Set design was on point though.

Super 8 was his worst movie.
I dunno man- I just watched Indianna Jones and The Crystal Skull last night...
He belongs on a list of greatest film makers of all time. But his recent stuff just isn't very good. That Ready Player One movie looks it's gonna flop.
It's a weird as fuck film for who was behind it.
I recommend it as at least a one time watch. Jude Law is great as a sex-bot.

He's really everything that is wrong with cinema. Take Jurassic Park- that only succeeded thanks to groundbreaking CGi. He directed Lost World with the same CGI that was no longer groundbreaking and it fared poorly.

Its great because that genre is great. America was starving for some old serial action movies, Spielberg just realized it would be a popular formula.
