Does anyone wish Netflix released episodes on a week by week basis or something? It's almost impossible to discuss Netflix shows due to the abundance of spoilers on the very first day of release and people just making vague descriptions of the show overall.

I do too. It's easier to discuss and analyze a show week to week, sometimes its cancerous like in GoT and Breaking Bad, Walking Dead etc but it builds legitimate discussion at least
Netflix needs to do a timed release on episodes, I mean they spend so much on House of Cards and it was only talked about for a couple weeks before it goes, that's wasted potential
no binge watching is so much better.
if spoilers bother you, go to show discussions on more structured boards. unironically reddit.
but consider that spoilers often aren't a bad thing (shamalaan aside).

If someone had told me that in 2017 I'd be longing for television commercials when I was a kid, I would have laughed in their face. Alas.
Where is Episode 11 they can't cliffhang this shit. All girlfriend scenes were filler and took away valuable Big Ed time to tack onto the final part there.
why do you say that?
find a stream of live tv sometime if you don't have access.
It's not just about spoilers, there is just generally less excitement about a show when its released all in one go. Stranger Things has a huge following and I don't think I have ever seen one real discussion about any specific episode outside short lived generals.
the girlfriend scenes were to enrage the audience, amplifying the tension of the series
Could do something like Monday/Wednesday/Friday releases so people still get episodes rapidly but the show still lasts a couple weeks. Netflix's strategy seems like it's kinda shitty because, while it does turn the binge watching into an "event" that fags want to get in on, it also removes their show from peoples' minds sooner.
>13 Reasons Why spawns a series of copycat suicide attempts across the nation
>Mindhunters inspires a series of copycat Ed Kempers across the nation except now in Tinder/Grinder format
I fucking hate spoilers.
it's more like a movie discussion except instead of discussing a 3 hour movie you're discussing a 10 hour movie
but their business model just needs to keep gaining subscribers - they don't need continuous viewer numbers for commercials.
yes they want viewers - but if it comes in waves it does not matter as long as the subscription is purchased.
if there is a wave of excitement like once a month every time a big netflix show gets a new season, it keeps netflix in the mind of the consumer.
when people look for new shows to watch they will see all the fluff articles bloggers banged out for deadlines of the latest must watch shows. the frequent waves of normie excitement on the internet may be more likely to make people feel they are missing out.
they could do the same and build more hype with timed release
OMG did you guys just watch episode 7 of house of cards, or episode 3 of stranger things, or the finale of Mindhunters? Over time these communities build episode by episode, and hype builds episode by episode.
But instead its just a one off hit when it releases.
I wish hbo also dumped all the episodes at once. That way I could short the market every time game of thrones released
hackers will take care of that eventually
>I fucking hate spoilers.
i usually look them up if im super into a story and its available.
i understand not wanting the spoiler for shocking moments, like the revelation in Fight Club, but those moments didn't bother me too much, and general plot/character spoilers i enjoy.
For some reason, i don't have much patience watching a re-run or a movie i still remeber
>sales of egg salad sandwiches skyrocket nationwide
I'm generally against binge watching.
Watching 10 hours of content in one sitting doesn't allow the brain to process all the information. I binge watched Bojack season 4 in one sitting and don't remember the finer things in the show, certain details go over ones head.
Even if the show is amazing I tend to try only two episodes at a time. Mindhunter was rare, I watched three each night.
1ep a day is the best ofboth worlds
uhh no
some of us have seen every show in existence and cant binge anything anymore, kiddo
i need the one good show every month
