Brawl in Cell Block 99 thread?

The blue filter pissed me off
Vince's accent pissed me off
The second prison pissed me off
The ridiculous gore in the last third pissed me off
Vince's relationship with his cheating wife pissed me off
Vince's relationship with his drug running friend pissed me off
The ending pissed me off

This movie pissed me off.

You piss me off

You pissed your bed.

Why was the action so shit?
The coreography was abysmal and they really couldnt see the torture.
Noone seemed in pain ever. The stunbelt was ridicolous.
Also I have serious problem with the white balance in the outdoor scenes. When the wife went to Gil there are two shot back to back, in the same location, and one is lit really cold and the other is fairly warm.
I dont know. I found the cinematography extremely lacking and that's pretty weird since Bone Tomhawk was shot amazingly

How does this compare to Shotcaller? Based on the fighting webms i have really low expectations.

Way worse

I liked the action a-lot, while it isn't the best I found it to be way more enjoyable than other fist-fights in movies

Welp, I was about to watch this.

You still should, every single one of that guy's criticisms was shit. If you don't watch it because of that post then you're a fucking idiot

I'm not in the mood for depressive cinema.

It's not too depressing, the ending is actually pretty satisfying

>t. mega brainlet

This movie is just straight up fucking dumb. You literally need to "shut ur brain off" to enjoy any of it. Like really nigga, a prison where the cells are pretty much 9th century castle dungeon chambers with broke glass covering the floor?

>Yo Vince, I been cheating on you for like months now
Aiiight babe lemme remedy this situation by becoming a drug mule
>Yo Vince, take these stupid chicanos with you on your drug run cuz idk lol
Okay I will do that
>Yo Vince, the stupid chicanos are having a Rambo style gun battle with the police and won't listen to you
Okay I will defend the police by murdering the chicanos in front of them
>Yo Vince, you just lost millions of dollars worth of meth and got arrested, if you don't pay us back by this afternoon we're gonna LITERALLY dismember your unborn child with secret Korean techniques
Okay but don't
>Yo Vince, we won't if you kill this guy in prison for us
Okay I will do that
>Yo Vince, the guy is actually in another prison for SUPER CRAZIES
Okay I will convince the guards I am super crazy by fighting one of them
>Yo Vince, that guy is in this new prison, but he's in the SUPER CRAZY part of it where the child molesters go
Okay I will go there by fighting some Mexicans and guards
>Yo Vince, that guy isn't actually here, but that stupid Chicano and his boss is
K I'll just kill them then and get my brains blown the fuck out and hopefully my scumbag drug running friend who got me into this mess in the first place will care for my whore of a wife

God damn this movie sucked.

Only thing you had a point about was the absurd gore in last bit (skulls exploding when stepped on)

Other than that, it was a 7/10 movie

everything triggers you and you can't just enjoy shit unfortunately

t. numale

Best plebfilter this year

This is metaphysical pure cinematic experience

Shot caller was a 9/10 for me desu

This can be a 7 if you just sit back and try not to go full autistic and focus on irrelevant shit like Does

oh ok

This was fucking awesome. Way better than shot caller and way more brutal. Basically of you liked bone tomahawk you are going to like this as well since it's from the same guy

>if you liked a well shot comfy western road movie you will also love this badly lit revenge flick

Really gets my capa burning

So, when his wife cheated on him and it enraged him to the point of literally fighting and beating up a parked car, why did he so quickly take the blame and offer to start anew?

Because they had both hit rock bottom and instead of casting blame at each other they got over it and started anew.

OH that's logical. Almost as logical as "Well fuck I got laid off so I might as well run millions of dollars of crystal meth into rundown apartment complexes"

This movie was okay except for the fact that Vince has to suffer due to things beyond his control while his cheating wife and drug-running friend who coerced him into the job get off. He's shown to be the most morally righteous person in the movie yet he keeps forced into bad situations and then made to suffer for it while they're fine.

>when I say drop the pack, drop the pack
>drop the pack
>no gringo, I'd rather get into a machine gun fight with the police
>hmmm I can make a completely clean getaway and maybe even salvage the $3.2 million of meth I have on me...
>OR I can go defend the police and shoot at my Mexican partners in crime because I guess I like cops despite operating outside of the law and being a literal career criminal and despite the fact that this will get me arrested and imprisoned for a decade or more leaving me entirely unable to care for my wife and child
>ye I'll do it

Like really though...

he died for our sins

Ray, somebody once told me that life is just like a movie. Well guess what? I've never even been to the movies. Never even read any god-damn subtitles. Caspere knew this

He knew the mexican guys were just complete scum, and even if they all got away they'd just fuck up again in future. He made a big gamble on wiping those two pieces from the game and it costing him maybe 3-4 yrs.

He didn't bank on blanco guy surviving, or the mexican drug guy also getting time for it, or indeed the corruption of the entire system he was put into.

Bit like Bone Tomahawk, sometimes bad things happen and they just don't get better. They keep getting worse.

You forgot he could never get the milk he wanted

What do you guys want to see in the sequel ?

More skulls ground into the floor.

vaughn is sent to hell and has to go through 9 differently themed cell blocks filled with prisoners of various sins

>while his cheating wife and drug-running friend who coerced him into the job get off.
The "friend" was his uncle. Vince would´ve avoided a shitty hand by not associating with cartel people.

Moral of the story: don´t smuggle drugs.

>the moral isn't to never trust a mexican
