best vampire kino
this but unironically
John Carpenter's Vampires
>"hey Padre, when I was killing that vampire back there, did you get a little wood?"
>Padre getting an erection over dead vampires is ongoing joke for entire film, for literally no reason
>Probably James Woods fucking idea
>Carpenter names main theme "Padre's Wood"
>the mad man does it again
so underrated
Laura Palmer’s in it, too
The first Carpenter film I ever saw
To me, Vampires is Carpenter's biggest waste of potential. It starts off so fucking strong, but then loses steam and really just meanders for the last half of the movie.
The premise isn't bad, the actors aren't terrible, the look of the main vampire dude is amazing, and as usual with Carpenter, the world of the film and the atmosphere it creates is top notch. It's just a shame the story and characters feel like an afterthought.
That scene in the motel where they're celebrating is pure, unadulterated Carpenterkino. One of his finest scenes ever in my opinion.

Sorry I meant nosferatu, do I fit in now?
Sup Forums doesn't like Nosferatu dumbass, only Herzog's
9th Gate
>inb4 not a vampire movie fuck you it has demon succubus
"Shadow of the vampire" was grate. Where does the screencap comes from?
Let the Right One In or Herzog's Nosferatu.
Vampyr, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, Thirst and Coppolla's Dracula.
You know you love it
Blade I and II are both mediocre, but capture the time they were made in quite well and are a lot of fun to watch. The third one is just garbage all around.
Blade 1 is a classic you stupid bitch.
If you're 12, sure.
30 days of night is the only vampire movie I've seen that didn't make me think vampires are the lamest monsters ever. That overhead shot of everyone in town fighting and dying is great
Let the Right One In
From Dusk Till Dawn
Near Dark
The Lost Boys
Martin
Nosferatu
Blade

Blade II is overrated as fuck
That movie was such horrendous trash, but it's ending was the corny kind I like.
>Thirst
>Only lovers left alive
>Byzantium
>Cronos
>Del Toro
turd by default
Trouble Every Day d. Claire Denis
Not that guy, but the blood rave scene is absolute kino
As I've said, if you look at it, it's mediocre or okay at best, but still quite fun. The intro rave scene is late 90's kino.

You're a faggot, because you think you're somehow superior for knowing entry tier shit. Wasn't saying anything bad about the movie, it was mainly targeted at you.
but why do you think i am saying that i am superior? i have never said that, you are complaining about something you, yourself is making up. Dummie.
>plebs be gone
I think that's proof enough, but if I was mistaken in my judgement, just ignore my previous posts with this one included.

Yes. Some bad things can be said about this movie but they all can be clearly ignored if you are info comfyness.
