/STD/ General - Gay Omnipotent Engineer edition

previous thread

dude vulcan mind kungfu lmao

...

Repost for new thread and haters denying this is a triumph.

The new Nielsen ratings for the executive boards who make decisions.

Basically, they can't go by who finished an episode and they can't go by what gets clicked on once, so "demand impression" is the compromise using measurable data to predict whether or not they "wanted to watch it." Since wanting to watch something is what makes you subscribe. They're not getting revenue from how many people they can get to watch it and sit through commercials.

Stranger Things is a smash hit that has a new season this month and Handmaid's Tale and Orange is the New Black are getting feminist bumps from Weinstein-triggered rewatches.

And, again, it's subscription-based streaming. Totally different metrics than broadcast cable. Rewatch numbers are 100% fully valid and crucial data to base things on. You have to be subscribed to rewatch something that ticks in their counters.

it's literally every fat 25 year old girl's ass

...

WHERE IS THAT BLACK WOMAN'S ASS AT?

WHAT ass? This is now ThiccLilly thread!

Fuckity fuck fuck, does anyone actually like this fucking show?

I'm going to say it again, because God damn: I could not make myself watch the whole episode, even to criticize it.

"Logic extremist" suicide bomber Vulcans. A Klingon infiltrator wearing an "I'm a Klingon infiltrator!" flashing sign on his forehead, warmly accepted by the captain and crew. "Wow, you fight like a Klingon! How implausible! And you keep lying about things all the time! Glad to have you aboard!"

>denying the existence of St. Archer's greatest enemy in his trials to claim the divine right to found the Federation

For shame, sir. I bet your mother was a particularly belligerent Tellarite whore.

What would a lorca bf be like

Any anons have the usual mega link to this weeks episode?

No my friend, look at .

Don't be fooled by the frumpy face homosexual fashion designers want you to get triggered by. This is prime, fertile real estate any true high test patriot of the Federation would love to stake a few claims in.

It just keeps getting worse. I skip through the episodes and it's tedious and predictable trash with retarded bullshit that makes no sense for no reason other than muh drama like the next cliche episode of the good old "everyone dies and time repeats"... It's pathetic.

>Stranger Things is a smash hit that has a new season this month
not out yet, so you've got nothing but oct impression for a show that was released july 2016

>and Handmaid's Tale and Orange is the New Black are getting feminist bumps from Weinstein-triggered rewatches.
shows that anyone who wanted to watch binged them back in july and april respectively

>Rewatch numbers are 100% fully valid and crucial data to base things on. You have to be subscribed to rewatch something that ticks in their counters.
comparing a show that just premiered, and is on a weekly schedule, to shows that released all at once, months or over a year back, is not not a valid comparison
the only valid comparison here is the pedo shit (or are you gonna argue that garbage is a success too because is has more impressions than over-a-year old stranger things?)

Transporter accident.

THANK YOU!
Here, this book suits you.

>I L L O G I C A L L Y T H I C C

Surak give me strength, my penis has abandoned the Vulcan way.

>Lethe....more like Lethicc!

Oh wow, we've got a running leddit gag going if that's really what they meant by that. We've already got the L'Orca/Ahab tangent.

>quotes Alice in Wonderland outloud to myself while crawling away from a big scary Tardigrade

wait lmao I looked at this for a couple of minutes without realizing that's her fucking skin and not a gray undershirt

Seriously stop fucking beat the alice fucking a dead horse in wonderland.

>STD stole its ideas from some indie game
lol

PSA for on-the-fencers: It's a "BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO END UP LIKE MY FATHER" tier daddy issues episode where Michael has to telepathically kung fu fight Sarek in his own mind.

tl;dr Trek kino, normie eyeroll.

literally has cysts coming out of her neck

/DISCO/DISCO/DISC/ODISCO/DISCO/DISCO/DISCO/DISCO/DISCO/DISCODISCO/DISCO/DISCO/DISCODISCO/DISCO/DISCO/DISCO/DISCO/DISCO

IT'S OFFICIAL AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.

/STD/ FAGS BTFO

Pretty sure this all came out of the same notebook Andromeda did.

Not a big deal, shit can get drained. Fucking faggot.

>advanced future medical technology
>dont get rid of these ugly blemishes with a 2 minute 'operation'

>Trek kino
>daddy issues
>telepathically fighting sarek

You rang?

/DISCO/

Sweet. I can pop them to amuse myself if the cellulite squelching and brapping while I'm dogging her from behind is making it take too long.

>implying posts like this aren't the eugenics autism annihilation program in action

If you're waiting for perfect, clean sex, you're never going to gave sex.

>t. fucked the first ugly high test landwhale that was generous enough to pityfuck me

I'll give you the Sarek part because the telepathy shenanigans divide fans because of how incongruous it is with the rest of Vulcan culture, but not knowing about a Nog episode is just a clear indication of not knowing shit about Trek.

She has the skin of a borg drone

Doesn't Starfleet have minimum physical requirements? She needs PT so bad.

Thank Little Baby Jesus most of America doesn't have enough brains for these birthrate-targeting Russian mind games to work.

While you're cringing over girls not being smart and pretty enough, stupid obese people are breeding like rabbits and it's making the future look bright, if breathing loudly, for America.

Logic extremists are from ST: Enterprise you Trek newfag.

>Doesn't Starfleet have minimum physical requirements?

No? They let Micheal Dorn join. fat people have always been in starfleet.

No they didn't let Michael Dorn join. They let Worf join. a strong Klingon male.

You have utterly failed to inspire resistance in my penis and its memories of being a 12-year-old boner going where my boner has never gone before.

She's a science officer, security personnel are the only ones who require serious physical screening.

>>She's a science officer, security personnel are the only ones who require serious physical screening.

That's just not true. When it comes down to it they're all equally expected to pick up a phaser and put their lives on the line as dutiful soldiers.

>She's a science officer, security personnel are the only ones who require serious physical screening.
This is why socialism failed.

>LOOK! THAT VULCAN ISN'T ACTING LIKE SPOCK WOULD AND THOSE STARFLEET OFFICERS DON'T KNOW AUGMENTED KLINGONS LOOK LIKE HUMANS LIKE I DO! SHIT SHOW!

You're so steeped in autism you can't even smell how horribly you reek of it.

>Telepathically fightan
>Don't even bother putting in some top tier 60s style suspense music
>Trek Kino
I mean I realize they already fucked up any potential for Michael's shirt being ripped open in the middle of the duel by casting a woman, but at least play some music.

>proper /DISCO/ instead of faggoty /STD/

>actually literally implying the producers dont follow these generals

what indie game is that lol?

Yeah, but they're fighting with advanced star ships. It's strategically more sound to lower the physical requirements and field better ships for some personnel who are less likely to personally be diplomatically offering knuckle sandwiches to Gorn ambassadors.

Socialism extracted its useful aspects and merged them with the useful aspects of capitalism to create the unnamed system the world uses now that still plays on capitalist-socialist antagonism for many reasons.

So are the klingons going to eat her like they did Georgiou? Or will Lorca go on a solo rescue mission to save her without Discovery, so in gratitude she will let him remain captain?

Did lorca plan that? Or just lucky?

>tattoo of Δ一
>3 lines, 1 line

Damn, Brienne is looking fine these days.

Dat nigga sent that bitch out there to die yo.

Lorca planned the whole thing with kol

Ouch. Can't wait for those poor bastards to get the second slap in the face when Steam drops when their lawyers get contacted by CBS's. Should've stayed quietly salty.

I'm starting to think the captain has some kind of secret alliance with the klingons, and michael is being set up to be his fall guy when it's revealed.

I only watch it for Lorca shenanigans. The flawed Mary Sue can fuck off.

I thought it was a starfleet logo

I think we can all agree that his is by far the best trek.

So maybe you Sup Forums guys can help me out. What the fuck is with the writing on this show? It's so weird. It reminds me of an anime or something. It's like everyone is turned up to eleven, all the time. None of the other Treks were like this. Is this what TV is like these days? I've never really been big into TV, especially not since shit like Lost started becoming popular.

i unironically like the shroomhead gay engineer but lorca steals every scene hes in.

michaels character could only be more boring if it were somehow related to wesley crusher.

Seven seasons and a movie.

In season two, the experimental drive is powered by hater tears.

>don't apologize for excellence

my fucking captain

>It's like everyone is turned up to eleven
>Is this what TV is like these days?
in many cases yes. your description of it is spot on.
the show is almost anticomfy.

>logic extremists
>bad guys are bad because they use extreme logic
>logic goes against everything about the show

Well that was a bit of a disappointment after the actually first good episode last week.

Help me guys.
I'm actually enjoying this STD.
Maybe not as a Star Trek show, but Lorca is based and enjoyable to watch.

>"the gay mushroom scientist is too mean"
>becomes chillaxed let's do cool but dangerous science stoner after seeing forever

Anyone claiming this was a floundering flip-flop to appease fans and not a brilliant jab at why you were gonna hate him being irrelevant needs to find another show to shitpost, this writing is more labyrinthine than Romulan chess.

The best part is that when he turns out to be an augmented Klingon, Lorca will convince him not to blow up the ship with that same unerring, confident sense of human exceptionalism that appeals to his Khan half.

literally just Romulans

weren't romulans motivated by their emotions over logic?

With the episode of tonight, it's confirmed.

>Everyone is turned up to 11

>None of the other Trek shows were like this

Except for TOS. The show that started it all.

Last week's episode was only good in comparision to the one directly preceding it.

>Vulcans speak perfect english to each other, even with no other humans around.

>Klingons speak Klingon
wew consistency

Lorca is more than enough reason to keep watching. He's the captain who believes in the you who believes in yourself.

Are logic extremist syrrannites from ENT, or am I missing something?

The Logic Extremists have been blowing up humans and other vulcans for decades trying to thwart an alliance between vulcans and humans.

>implying it's not gonna be cbsallaccess.com forever 100 years

Bucucke'd hater status: Gooed, spewed and totally Q'd.

blowing up humans and other vulcans does't seem very logical for advancing your cause

Romulan pretending to be Vulcan in that TNG episode

suicide bombings are not logical

I'm also hoping he's a Section 31 agent, but i'm starting to doubt it.

Im pretty sure the guy from this episode was affiliated with the same vulcan terrorist group that killed the Admiral on ENT

Prelude to Dune

It's not Section 31. Operations are official, Discovery is not a secret ship.

But they weren't terrorists, they just followed the teachings of Surak. Vulcans that were against Starfleet were the ones who were working on unification with the romulans.

Honestly, if this show turns out to be about the early history of Section 31, it would really explain the different atmosphere of this star trek.
Best recovery move they could pull.

I bet you're a lot of fun at parties.

Romulans don't adhere to Vulcan logic, but they're still efficacious and intelligent when their in-fighting isn't holding them back. The proto-Vulcans that split into Vulcans and Romulans are basically just humans who are really smart but super douchy.

There's debate over whether or not Vulcans and Romulans are separate species. Vulcans maintain a strict diet meant to maximize mental acuity and minimize hormonal interference, whereas conservatively traditional Romulans ritualistically feast on the bodies of their bested rivals; to the Vulcans, the difference in body chemistry from dietary differences constitutes a separate species in their taxonomy, but they're literally the exact same using older human systems.

Also, logic extremists are a thing in Trek, that wasn't going against the grain out of left field. Sisko even had to deal with bullying Vulcan supremacists in DS9 times.

It is a secret ship though.
They're acknowledged by the admiralty, just like Section 31 in DS9.
This show could be about how Section 31 severe their ties to official Starfleet rule.
>early history
Section 31 were in ENT though, don't forget.

>Logic extremists are from ST: Enterprise you Trek newfag.
Not a Trek newfag by any measure, but Enterprise was shit and I didn't watch more than the first few episodes.

If this scene is a prelude to next weeks obligatory temoral anomoly, then even this is plagiarism. The delayed reflection idea is from the Red dwarf ep "furure echoes", which aired in 1987.

>thinks some trek nerd on Sup Forums goes to parties

They shared the spore tech

Tilly would not be section 31

>It is a secret ship though.
Nope. It's just war, you don't put the list of ships and their position on a board.

They all but said he wasn't in like episode 3 when Michael supposed that he was in charge of illegal weapons testing.

...

>tfw CBS All Access completely shat the bed just in time for everyone's free trials to nearly be up for renewal
>Everyone will unsub this week due to their shitty service and CBS will go into the negashekels
I enjoy watching this fail more than I would have enjoyed watching actually good Trek.
