History of Violence, Eastern Promises, and his classics are all solid movies. He has no pretenses to "art" films, they're just good little violence dramas.

unironically yes. in a fair world he wouldn't have been anything else other than a sleazy neon lights salesman who shot upskirts of teenage girls on his sony camcorder in his spare time.

My only problem with him is that he sometimes seems to be full of himself, as are most artists.
