Lack of creativity

>Megawhatt
>That eletric yet one
>Feedback

Any other? Feedback kind of was more useful because he could manipulate other types of energy.

Brainstorm and Frankenstrike also.

Frankenstrike

There's also that tiny ass battery from the original Ben 10

He didn't. There just happened to be a bunch of different aliens with electric powers.

The blue jellyfish

Remember this one? Who made like 3 cameos and was a XLR8 ripoff?

He was canned in OV

Why did they retcon the omnitrix to be a weapon when originally it was meant to better understand other lifeforms?
Why did they remove the time out feature in later seasons?
Why is nearly every alien post OS just a rehash and less interesting?
Why did they give him OP aliens?
Why are ultimate transformations so shit?

Because Alien Force and Ultimate alien were fucking shit

>Why did they retcon the omnitrix to be a weapon when originally it was meant to better understand other lifeforms?

I dont remember this.

>Why did they remove the time out feature in later seasons?

Different Omnitrix.

>Why is nearly every alien post OS just a rehash and less interesting?

Omniverse had some pretty creative aliens, including one based on making toxic gases that is an expert on chemicals, an indestructible alien that still feels pain, a fairy alien that can travel on dreams, a living planet that manipulates gravity and so on.

Also Rath is AMAZING.

>a trap alien that can travel on dreams
fixed

S-source?

In the Ben 10 movie where the omnitrix was going critical and they needed to find Azimuth, he revealed that it was originally a device meant to give other races a chance to walk a mile in others shoes and therefore understand them. He hated that Ben and Vilgax basically only saw it as a weapon, a perversion of his masterpiece more or less. Also this is just personal opinion, but I liked the time out feature. It was one of those things that showed Ben still didnt fully understand the watch, couldnt bypass the safeguards, and created scenarios where he had to think fast before time ran out, or do things himself when locked out.

I know about the original intend.

But when was it retconed?

Sometime around Alien Force/Ultimate Alien

I really dont remember this.

Last time that something like this was brought up, was Azmut saying that the whatch also function as some sort of DNA arc.

But the whole thing with the asteroid was pretty dumb.

it is one of the most realistic superpowers since eels do it
though all they really do is run so much nervous system activity through their muscles that it seeps out into the water around them. it's like a seizure and a hug at the same time. honestly that same nervous impulse could probably be used to just make the eel really strong or fast...

Do you ever think that this cartoon was really all about merchandising? Instead of selling one action figure we can sell 10

nothing wrong with that
the times when it sucked were when they did shit like have the 'trix start scrambling different limbs to sell those asinine limb-swapping figures.

OV even made an episode in which Ben could only transform into his electric type aliens.
It was kinda funny.

Why did they even can jetray in omniverse? The guy could flight through hyperspace, he was incredibly useful

Omniverse writers hate Alien Force

>shocksquatch

He was boring and used for everything. That was the reason.

>Why did they retcon the omnitrix to be a weapon when originally it was meant to better understand other lifeforms?

Celestialsapiens.

He's trans-racial

Fuck those things.
>Muh space gods

No they didn't, they used the lore it introduced heavily in the series, and made tons of callbacks. They probably just didn't like Jetray, Fasttrack, and Chamalien.

Name an established sci-fi universe that doesn't have some kind of space gods or all-powerful force.

I was about to disprove you.

>Azimuth
it's Azmuth, not Azimuth

Jetray was massively overused in UAF, same reason why Humongosaur didn't appear for a long while, and why Swampfire for the most part didn't show up till it underwent it's design change

I think it was more that they forgot to use Chamalien than outright hating him, considering a recurring character was of his species

Fasttrack was the only alien they outright refused to use. Jetray was just such a low priority that they never got around to using him. Chamalien almost made it into the last season, but his scene got cut.

You added a second thing which was unrelated to the thing we were discussing. If you had kept it about just the Celestialsapiens, it would've been
>Name an established sci-fi universe that doesn't have some kind of space gods
and we could've said Star Wars, because "the Force" is a mysterious and subtle thing which isn't at all like a Q-esque wacky omnipotent trickster.
