Jenny Sparks...true hero.

This

...

Oh no. No. No. No.

And the cycle continues Ellis really knocked it out of the park with this one. What I wouldn't give for an Authority film.

Or more wildstorm stuff youtu.be/dro8WMdRWBA youtu.be/gtSPJZ-qlhAl

fuck yeah

Wildcats Vol. 2-3 were some of the finest and most unique comics I've ever read. Adventures of Superman and Wildcats are the reason I got into Joe Casey. Kick-Ass,

Amd now we enter a new era with Mark Millar's Widescreen Authority. This series incorporates a lot of horizontal panels stacked on top of one another creating a very cinematic feel to the story.

And we're off...

It was hard for me to get a handle on Jack's powers the first go around.

Cool

Going up against magic wielders would always be a fear if I was a superhero.

...

I love The Authority's rebuttle to the president's statement.

Yep. It's official. These guys are my favorite superhero team. Second superhero team being Nextwave. 3rd being Umbrella Academy

...

The idea of proactive heroes is fascinating to me. If you have the power, why not use it?

...

Midnighter is the definition of glorious bastard. Also Apollo and Midnighter are neck and neck with Lois and Clark.

...

I'm glad that Millar decided to immediately follow up on this plot point.

...

...

...

I know it's not for everyone, but I love Millar's flair for dialog. He manages to have a unique style that's evident in most of his works while still managing to have all of his characters have distinct voices.

I laughed.

I enjoy these next couple pages for two reasons. First reason is that they are the definition of absolute batshit superhero insanity. Second is that I see this sequence as an expertly paced event that is told with almost exclusively with 4 panel widescreen pages. It just has a really good feel to it.

Wow

I know this is the definition of edgy, but I can't help but read this pages with a ridiculous smile on my face.

...

Size changers are becoming one of my more favorite supers.

Tony

...

I laughed

...

I feel like this may be an unintentional reference to MOrrison.

...

...

Psychic baby to the rescue.

...

I enjoy the idea of superheroes wearing out the average civilian during intercourse. Like Futurama and Snu Snu

Quickest turnaround ever.

The censoring is so inconsistent in these issues.

Love it. Also can anyone tell me what The Authority/Stormwatch was a direct reaction to? Or was it just the right time for a group of writers to decide the world needed a proactive superteam?

...

Agreed

Tom Cruise would make a fantastic Midnighter.

These fights are unlike anything I normally see in current cape comics.

...

I saw this page posted before I read the issue.

...

I love skirmishes with battles that can reshape/traverse reality. Part of the reason why I enjoy Walter's powers in Jupiter's Legacy.

...

I think this page is some of Millar's strongest writing.

Holy fuck that's brutal.

Dammit Doctor

This cover is insane.

Love this opening page.
