Translation: Please take these shitty comics that we overprinted

It's Faux-Feminist actually. And man was that disappointing, great up untill Bobby went all "No female superheros"

They're called '''feminist''' comics, actually, and try looking for every Marvel book out right now with a female lead

So is this worse than Whor?

Belladona, it has a women using a wooden strapon on a man

Someone redpill me on wasp and why I should care about her? She was always kind of a cunt and she should have stayed dead

Mockingbird? and Faith I guess

No take the blue pill

I would reather take the swamp pill before taking the blue

She's cute, any 34 of her?

I mean didnt Janet just grab Hanks coat tails? It was Hanks particles and equipment that made her into a super hero in the first place

A few but most are extremely unsuccessful in sales. Maybe because feminists couldn't give one flying fuck about comics.

This isn't even Janet, it's Pym's bastard

Die Wergelder

There's nothing wrong with a comic having a feminist bent.
The problem is that comics like Wasp are bad.

Doesn't matter, wanna grab her by the pussy

Nadia is Hank's daughter with his first wife, Maria Pym. She was kidnapped and raised in the Red Room. But instead of learning assassin shit she learned tech genius shit.

Now that she's out and about she has almost no knowledge of modern pop culture because she only had access to like 6 vinyl records and a few books. Though for some reason she knows what fan fiction is and how all that works.

She has an encyclopedic knowledge of the scientific heavyweights of the Marvel universe. She's also super smart herself. But because she was raised in near isolation she has no idea how to handle herself in most normal social situations and often takes the science thing way too far.

Jim Shooter would have fired this artist.

One usually tends to follow another. Because the creators are too busy preaching propaganda than worrying about how to make a quality comic.

Also Hiroaki is weirdly good at female characters with distinct voices considering some of the stuff he's put out is almost entirely eroticized misogyny. I guess kink is kink, and there's art behind the art there, but still I think part of the reason is probably because so many of his characters are built up by the violence undertaken on them - and his female characters are just much the same, although sometimes the violence is female-specific.

She's not a bastard, she's the daughter of Pym's first wife.

I was reading aforce. I thought the premise was gonna be good but the writing was awful. It's really bad trying to force an agenda, have it be natural.

>What do you mean people won't get it's about ACCEPTANCE unless I force it out to be expository dialogue?!

I write an unapologetically feminist superhero comic. The majority of the characters are female and nobody makes a big deal about it. I just sort of expect that you are reading a comic with mostly women in it you don't need asspats to feel good about doing so. Your basic enjoyment is already enough.

Somebody's buying the books.

Acceptance?

Shooter would have fired Bruce Timm.

Brennan pls go

Use any $CurrentYear buzzword of your liking if that doesn't please you all the way

All the good ones that you don't like.

I feel like most everyone in this thread hasn't actually read the book their complaining about.

I'm a feminist and I like comics. Just not the quirky girl comics that Marvel is obsessed with.

I don't care, I just want the porn.

How is one "apologetically" feminist?

This.

I've read it and it wasn't my kinda deal. Not because it was feminist, because it was

Who the fuck is Brennan?

I saw a scan of a comic where Wasp and Ms Marvel were talking about Harry Potter. That's enough to make me know it's shit.

Look in the bargain bin

I've read it, the lead character is another one of Marvel's quirky womanchild characters and it feels like just another generic, light webcomic type thing like all of Marvel's other female-lead comics. I dropped it at issue one

Pretend-allies who are fake-feminists only trying to get laid.

I've read it and I actually enjoy it. But I feel it has a lower bar to cross than others of its ilk. But that may be due to the fact that I haven't heard or seen much in the way of pumping up this title so it just comes across as a normal book to me.

not enough

Rebecca pls go.

GIRLS

Wrong.

But that describes Jeremy Whitley.

>webcomic art
>quirky shit protagonist

Wimmen's Comix
Meat Cake

>using katanas to cut people
>there's no blood

What web comic has art that good. If you're gonna use buzzwords atleast call it anime.

What are some good indie comics created by girls?

Big 2 are dead anyway.

They're androids, do you even read the comic?

Ava's Demon

>le Gwenpool has good art meme

>actually reading Gwenpool

>le "who needs to read comics lel" meme when you're caught being factually wrong

>meme

Eleanor Davis has a new book coming this year with a decent sized backlog
Julia Gfrorer does dark fantasy stuff, Laid Waste is her newest and she has quite a bit of stuff online
Rolling Blackouts by Sarah Glidden was a favorite of mine from last year.
Leslie Stein has her Eye of the Majestic Creature series which is slice of life along with a bunch of diary comics she's done online.

>Julia Gfrorer
Can +++ this rec in particular.

>Gwenpool art
>good

I *want* to like this new Wasp, I really do. But the author making up sexist strawmen to attack gets old real quick. Marvel has no smart women, the first one of the top intellect list is ranked 27th? Sure, if you gloss over characters like Valeria who is likely at the very top of the list, but don't let inconvenient facts get in the way of a good bout of righteous indignation.

Also You'll Never Know by Carol Tyler, Heads or Tails by Lilli Care, Meat Cake by Same Darcy and Aya by Marguerite Abouet

Get outta here Scholmo!

What's wrong with it?

>Solid anatomy, great understanding of form, Ditko-esque in many ways.

He wouldn't have let him on a core book because he's too far from house style, but I doubt he would outright refuse to let him work on a book.

I miss him, Sup Forums

The art has serious problems in terms of anatomy and construction but is charming at a glance. The writing is worse, being half waifu crafting and half trying in vain to court teenage readers while ambling about and making vapid statements.

Seriously, I hope the artist practices more and gets work once they move out of sameface, but the writer needs to fuck off, he's terrible.

Or Moon Girl, whose whole premise is based around that.
Or Riri.

I already got to see the webcomic tier art and dialogue, that's more than enough to not care about it, at least.

>Sure, if you gloss over characters like Valeria who is likely at the very top of the list,
They SAID the list was outdated and unreliable.
The whole point of GIRLS is finding al those women who just passed under the (very ineffective) radar of that "list"

its a shitty book written by a bronyfag

Leslie Stein is my artistfu

everyone should read Dame Darcy, Lynda Barry and Julie Doucet

Which might explain very recent additions like Moon Girl and Ironheart, but Valeria has been spoke of as smarter than Reed for years now. I'm seeing threads listing her as #1 back in *2011* and I'm pretty sure its actually longer than that.

So no, you hafta go well out of your way to excuse the author making up this "27th place" strawman. Valeria didn't fall under the radar of the list, Valeria didn't fall under the radar of the author, the author elected to ignore contradictory evidence for the argument they had elected to make.

The thing is, I'm perfectly fine with the premise of the book and this "GIRLS" group rounding up supersmart ladies. But the book has already got off to a very bad start when it decided it needed to lie to sell its premise.

Not house style enough.

Valeria is probably considered dead, since shes off in the multiverse with Reed

I'm with you tho, the 27th thing was fucking retarded

>Valeria didn't fall under the radar of the list,
actually, she might.

Who did actually know HOW MUCH smart she was? Would they be interested in notifying whoever compile the list? Would SHE be interested in being on the list?

Moon Girl herself got found by basically chance with that equation.

And they stated the list wasn't updated in a long time...
Simply put: the list is bullshit. They basically state it in-story.
The whole point is going BEYOND the list, to find the unknown and underappreciated geniuses.

I'll give it at least another issue to see if that's where they are going or I gave them too much credit.

The whole list is fucking retarded. It omit any villain outside of Doom like the Mad Thinker, Doc Ock or the Tinkerer and most of the list is obviously a popularity contest with the last 5-6 picks.

With unknown and unappreciated geniusses, do you mean like those four women of color all from a specific area in New York? Will they find find geniuses outside of the east coast? What about anywhere else in the world?

I guess they'll start near and then expand outward in their research

How long til it's cancelled?

Persepolis is the only good "feminist" comic.
And that's merely because it tells the story of an actually oppressed woman.

Whitley is a fag
why does every single Marvel woman have to be quirky? Mayday and Sif are the only good ones evr

12 issues

Empowered?

Too much sexist fanservice. Doesn't count.

Fuck obnoxious "quirky" womanchildren. Where are my female teenage delinquents?

They are Riri user.

Bendis doesn't count.
