/tpg/ is dead, yet it lives

season 3 killed all interest in this show and that is what lynch intended from the get-go

the 2 scenes where he knocks their henchman out was executed so well, especially when he snaps the shotgun on the guys own face

What is the all time comfiest Twin Peaks episode?

I vote for "The One Armed Man" 1x05. Something magical about this episode, despite it being less significant than 1x06, 7 and 8. This is where all those diverging season 1 storylines get really focused in, everyone is making strides in their own investigations into the death of Laura. I just love it.

This was the first episode I ever watched (2 months ago, and fell in love). Beside that, I think it's a great one to show people to get them hooked.

I loved season 3, but I can't see any justification for /tpg/ to stick around. If someone has a question or wants to start a discussion they can make their own thread. History has shown that long running generals, especially ones where the topic being discussed is completed; it tuns into tripfag circle jerking, waifu wars and stale memes every time without fail.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Twin Peak. The dialog is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of existential psychology most of the dialog will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Coop's Buddhist outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from the Dalai Lama, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this dialog to realize that they're not just interesting- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Twin Peaks truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the nuance of Coop's existential catchphrase "This is, excuse me, a damn fine cup of coffee" which itself is a cryptic reference to Tenzin Gyatso's epic Sleeping, Dreaming, and Dying. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as David Lynch's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Twin Peaks tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Unironically one of the saddest season in the original show to me. The way Waldo mimics Laura’s voice, the fear of her last words, and Cooper’s face as he listens to it all make me tear up anytime I see it.
