One of the best films ever made.
Best Kubrick film and, for me, top10 films ever made.

boring
It suffers from stage-acting in certain scenes, but it's good
I hate Kirk Douglas.
Also this was very good ofc, but not the best Kubrick by a long shot.
I can't see how a movie that has you on the edge of your seat could be called boring except maybe by somebody too stupid to know what's going on
ending is pure kino
I don't care about WWI cause we were barely fucking in it
root for the germans: the movie.
Yo should eat a bullet.
But it's French vs French. Rooting for a team that's not playing is literally impossible
>we
what an egotistical maniac
amerifats, everyone
it's amazing that this is the only war film I know of where you actually don't see any enemy soldiers
you didn't root hard enough, mien friend.
Love it. Perfect hour and half film. Without really any action it keeps you riveted for the whole time
qt enough for kubrick to marry
Unironically my fav movie of all time, AMA
Why wasn't he allowed into the fancy dress party?
Do dress uniforms not count as fancy dress?
>that iconic reverse tracking shot
Stanley Kubrick made this film when he was 28 years old.
Why this movie specifically amongst all of Kubrick's filmography?
I don't like the anti-war message, but it's pretty economical and well executed. Loved it and would highly recommend it.
not him, but among Kubrick's film I feel it is one of the more rewatchable, short, and simple movies he has done. Not to say the others are bad, but I am not as compelled to rewatch his other films, except maybe Dr. Strangelove and the first half of Spartacus. Sometimes it is simply the running time but also I like how simple Paths of Glory is. It doesn't get caught up in its own ideas or tries to say too much.
Kubricks only underrated film
Second best WWI kino after the original All Quiet on the Western Front
I don`t know about that. All the film circles I participated in chose this for the first kubrick film to show.
Can someone make a webm of the attack on the Ant Hill?
Stuff like that does happen I guess, not must people have never even heard of it, let alone think it’s one of his better films. Most people just talk about A Clockwork Orange and The Shinnibg usually
