Issue 3 already out? NICE
Really loved the first issue, thought the second issue was okay (though not good enough to buy, so I feel bad I didn't support)
Bumpin for 3rd cause if it's good I'll jump back on.

the third issue is actually from december, and todays came the fourth issue apparently but i don't have it.
FUCK I'm double behind.

I was thinking about this just the other day. Good to hear it's still going.

I remember some complaints about how simple the rhymes are for the songs,
But I like it since anyone can imagine the pace of the song.

The art is nice, but it doesn't feel nearly surreal enough to be Betty Boop.

Second issue

...
We got ghosts stealing houses and clowns running the bar.
And she belittled a bullfrog bully till he shrank to nothing.
Seems a lil on the surreal side to me.

Not really. Seems more zany than surreal. All of the things you said made to much sense in story to count.

This cover is pretty awesome. Never mind the Harley/Joker ref but the style is kinda..I dunno. Reminds me of a french romance or vintage circus performers in the B&W era. With Barnum and Bailey shutting down, I can see them as performers who have one last dance in the main ring.

Congratulations, OP. I came for the great cover alone and read everything. Nice job.
This was better than I was expecting.
I WANNA FUCK THAT BUG
Considering I know next to zilch about Betty Boop other than her being a fictional sex symbol of the past that just wouldn't entirely go away from street culture (in the form of stickers, t-shirts, and other unofficial paraphernalia), this was pretty fun.
Thanks for the opportunity.
this is right on the fence between decent and mediocre
Howard Chaykin never says no to a paycheck.
Perfect music for this thread.
Thank you
