What are some good movies that feel like they could as well be stage plays?

Shakespeare and old murder mystery shit, also H8 and some Hitch films.

This one I would like to see on stage. I think it would be very cool. Two very juicy parts for actors in their seniors. It would be perfect for retirees.

>Shakespeare
hmmm I wonder why

The drama society at my university did a stage adaptation of just this

What university?

In the mood for love 花样年华

Orson Welles' Othello.

this

Not a chance. That movie is so heavy on elliptical editing. It would be a mess trying to translate the temporal shifts to the stage.

Glengarry Glen Ross

Rope

I've not seen any of Shakspeares other fims he directed but this was good

Did William Shakspeare direct Moulin Rouge?

Don't watch his film Macbeth with Fassbender. It looks nice, but it's kinda shit otherwise

You're thinking of Rob Marshall.
Shakespeare wrote and directed Disney's the Lion King

Yes, he also directed that most recent Great Gatsby flick

You can laugh at him but Anne Hathaway is doing fine for her age.

12 angry men

one of my favorite films

Shrek

Don't Touch the Loot
The Fly (1958)

Legend, each scene is staged so theatrically
