I don't know much about the Lion King but Star Wars is pretty weeaboo in how much it takes from Kurosawa, yeah. Although it's taking equal inspiration from classical Myth cycles and American serial adventures and shit so who knows.

Oh, lol. Then yeah. Also most of Darren Aranofsky's movies are filled with rip offs of various anime. Although I guess it's only fair since Gundam was inspired by Star Ship Troopers, most Japanese cyberpunk stuff came from Blade Runner, Nausicaa is heavily indebted to Dune and Moebius comics, etc.
