Was she a Wallace spy?
What was her endgame?

when i saw it again the other day something occured to me.
When Wallace is trying to persuade Deckard to cooperate he doesn't threaten him with torture because he's accustomed to pain. Instead he offers him "Joy" in the form of the resurrected Rachel.
So just as the Rachel duplicate was meant to enslave Deckard, Joi kept K captive by telling him everything he wants.
The movie is about the most subtle form of slavery: sexual control.

Interesting, JOI set up the sex experience when K started to wake up.
It's as if JOI was restricted by her coding, but still yearned to be real, to be free, just as the replicants did
I was honestly expecting her to betray K
This confused me. At first I thought she was spying for Wallace and that she set up the sex so the hooker could put the tracker on him but the hooker was working for the replicants not Wallace but then how did Wallace find him at Mr House's Casino? Was the hooker a double agent? And why did Luv kill Joi?
yes. Joi does eventually betray Wallace, which is why the Romulan bitch destroys her emitter, but through much of the movie she is acting on behalf (perhaps unknowingly) of Wallace.
it's crystal clear Wallace was tracking K through Joi
This girl is the epitome of a 5/10
To make my dick hard.
Installing spy software in every Joi out there would be a pretty smart move on Wallace's part
apparently villanoux considered this idea, but decided against it because he thought it would be took painful for the target audience
fuck off viral marketer
>t. faggot
Luv went at LAPD headquarters to locate K at the casino.
She yearned to be free of her online environment. Her coding - combined with her memories -
defined who she was.
maybe. but her mere existence was meant to keep k under control and asleep. She had to die for him to become free and "human"
Sacrifice and Isolation are the main themes of the film
>She had to die for him to become free and "human"
He became free and human when he started to believe he might be the child.
yeah but after he realized he's not the child he's wondering the reality of everything including joi's love and then he saves deckard, the must humane thing he has done
this is deep......
This is exactly what I thought when I was watching the movie. I don't know if any /lit/fags are on here, but I was thinking of Gravity's Rainbow and its themes of sexuality and control.
What if, instead of going after Deckard, K went back to work and somehow passed his next baseline test? Joshi basically excused his first failure and gave him 48 hour suspension to get himself together because his next baseline test was "out of her hands." 48 hours after she said that would have been right around when he saw the pink billboard Joi.
Would K still have been able to re-download Joi to his home console just by using the license key from his old one? She is like expensive software, surely she must be tied to his identity. I take it that K would have deleted any backups of her there might be when he bothered to clear the console, so he would probably have to restart from a default Joi.
OHNONONONO
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>the Romulan bitch
My fucking sides
thats why he broke the tracker, the luv had to use the lapd to find him
Wallace was tracking K through the bug that hooker planted in his jacket, goof
no that was pirate girl
Why the fuck did Luv leave K alive at the casino? There's no good explanation for her not killing him or at least taking him captive.
No, that was sapper's cell
He was alone, bleeding out, unable to give himself medical attention, unable to go to the LAPD since they would retire his ass, and was emotionally crushed by seeing joi die.
Luv had no idea there was Nexus-8s and 9s tracking him.
>K wandering around that empty Casino before meeting Deckard = the intimations of the Forbidden Wing that Slothrop experienced in the Himmler-Spielsaal in GR
Because Love always kills Joy
Cell ?
