Minerva

>Son, why're ye takin' orders from a piece of gum? I mean that just silly, gum's for chewin', not givin' orders.

Lewd.

>that pic where her robot jerks off finn while she watches on the screen

Links?

Why is she suddenly scottish?

We need more pics of FinnxMinerva

Whatever happened to that one cyborg girl people kept bringing up?

mega.nz/#F!C4UzmRKY!ANRxWDF3f_Th95b6eiQyWQ

Irish.

Dr. Gross? Presumed dead.

Is there a difference between British, Scottish, and Irish? It's all just the same funny sounding english.

I saw a short preview of dr gross capturing them all and walking on mechanical spider legs but that never happened in the islands episodes

Am I missing something?

>Is there a difference between British, Scottish, and Irish?

Got a link? That sounds like it's from Preboot.

youtube.com/watch?v=m-moczWl6R4
Whats a preboot?

> dr gross capturing them all and walking on mechanical spider legs
That was from Preboot, the season's 7 finale.

Preboot, Reboot, Two Swords and Do No Harm are the episodes that come before Islands.

I see

I haven't finished Islands yet, but I do like that Finn's family is getting so much focus.

The ending was really unsatisfying but the miniseries was fun

Irish and Scots aren't white. If you look at the skull shape they're some kinda potato nigger.

Here's your reply

So many scenes with Minerva were tuggin on my feel strings.

"Trust me mom. I tried."

Pity. Would've loved to seen more lewds of her

> Dr Gross is a chill as heck (trans)human villain who directly threatens the human society and is indirectly responsible for Finn's mom being AI
> we won't get her as a season finale villain for Finn to defeat, some lame ice elemental will take that role instead
> and it won't be Finn who defeats her, it will be strong and independent princesses with elemental powers, to get those progressive cookie points
You all know this is going to happen.

You're sad

>Son, why're ye takin' orders from a piece of gum?
Well, because she looks an awful lot like you, and her crushing, authoritarian rule of Candy Kingdom is similar to how you rule Founder's Island.

You're American aren't you?

>turns out he's actually asian
kek

Meanwhile

For you.

>Europeans are so egocentric they think anyone who criticises them must be American

look at a map magellan

Nearly every scene with Minerva had so much feels.

This scene broke my heart.

Plot twist: I was really a burger all along no really I am

>be me
>mother dies when 9yo
>become an autistic emo kid for about 4 years until AT premieres
>series one of the things that made my transition of childhood to teenager years suitable
>almost 7 years later
>Islands premieres
>suffer with every Minerva scene
>cry for two days straight.

>wife is heartbroken because her husband left her and is portrayed as a jerk
>she falls into a deep depression because of him
wow

So like what do you think happened to her body? Was it frozen in a cryogenic state?

...

Literally crushed onto juice.

dyewts

He wasn't a jerk at all during their time together and only left because a literal storm washed him away.

She literally met him the first time he involuntary tried to escape, only for trying to escape from the hospital again. She thought he changed and built a life together. A life that got carried away in less than a night and show doesn't even know why until 17 years later -and not even then.

Yea, we saw that and she didn't.

Exactly, she thinks he just ran away with their kid or something.

Susan sounds grating NOT talking like a hyooman.

>can't get passed that guardian
Go off the Island from the other side?

She didn't see that and came to the logical conclusion

Yes, and that's what I'm saying. It was treated in the "woman gets burned by her husband and gets depressed about it" route.

Yeah, it's pretty sweet.

Not really, we just see it from her perspective because she's recalling her end of it. Also Finn doesn't have a high opinion of him anyway

Speaking of which isn't it implied Martin is gonna go back to Earth at some point?

One of the reasons I like this miniseries over even a good portion of the show is because
>actual threat
>backstory
>fun times
>creativity that's awesome to look at
>really detailed backgrounds and animated parts
>color changing like underwater and when the digital dome was going over everyone
>decent feels
>finn and jake adventuring for real

It's been a long time, hopefully it isn't another long time from now when it happens again.

Don't forget the new intro.

Yeah, "feels" of falling asleep.
What a boring cliched piece of shit character.

>Minerva out sciences PB
It's a long shit, but damn would that be hysterical to watch someone beat PB at her own game with Finn watching. Protects her citizens better AND creates inventions better as well.

I'll fucking fight you

(You)

Yea, and the credits. I was just thinking about how much I liked them right before I made that post, dunno how I left it out.

>It's a long shit

>actual threat
What threat?
>backstory
The backstory is inconsequential and doesn't alter the status quo one bit.
>fun times
Fun? You're that desperate after the last three seasons or so, huh?
>creativity
Yeah, a bunch of humans that look like Ooo's regular mutants sure is "creative"
>detailed backgrounds and animated parts, color
Seriously? Detailed? It's regular AT stuff. You ARE desperate to praise anything.
>decent feels
Manufactured, cheap feels.
>adventuring for real
Not compared to the early seasons. This was a whole lot of walking and watching while other characters did the interesting things.

Human technology is already better than pbs shit
That robot that invaded the candy kingdom broke every defense system
Doesn't matter anyways, Jake and ice kings are both way overpowered and could destroy either of them

>ice king and jake vs Minerva and Dr Gross after Minerva has had enough of people treating her baby boy Finn like shit

user did you ever give a home to a dog?
Try it sometime, the dog will be as happy for the bone as he would have been for a steak because it's a dog and dogs don't know any better plus the dog doesn't have anything else

Minerva doesn't really have any weapons, there is the gigantic thing but it doesn't obey her and there are minervabots Wich aren't really powerful
I dobut she has any control over the powerful robots, those respond automatically when Susan uses her chip
Both Jake and ice kings could week any of them alone, granted iceking is too crazy to and Jake lacks motivation

only one of these I can definitely shit on is the adventuring part.

fuck you faggot, this is the most adventurous AT has ever been. setting sail on the high seas, investigating several interesting locations, dealing with characters and their problems, then the big grand thing of humanity in general.

that's a hell lot fucking more than some season 1 episode where there's a problem and it gets fixed in 6 minutes, those had so little time to go anywhere, and the rest of the big shit like the Lich was always solved too quickly too. Islands used it's time to actually tell a full length adventure and for that reason it's better than the show's ever done.

See? All they have to do is copy One Piece harder.

Coincidentally this goes for every show. Except maybe SU, they could use less crying.

I disagree both Minerva and Dr Gross can wreck the fuck outta them if they surveyed their personalities for a bit. Pick off ice king with a false attempt of dating one of them and Jake can be overwhelmed in many ways when facing multiple enemies.

I'm sad that Islands released so far ahead of time that when it finally airs there won't be anything left to talk about.

Oh well, I still enjoyed it very much.

I already said the ice kings is too crazy and Jake too unmotivated
They are clearly strong enough as a matter of power but they are comedically flawed because if they weren't there wouldn't be much of a show

If it wasn't for that huge chin.

I'm sorry - Were we all watching the same miniseries? Minerva was evil, like way more evil than Finn's dad. At least he's just a small-time badboy, she was a heartbeat away from killing the last human enclave in existence on a whim. Human life means absolutely nothing to her.

You weren't actually paying attention to the plot were you?

I could ask you the same, you perverts were probably busy looking up the porn the moment she hit the screen.

>Implying all of us were thinking with our genitals
Try again fucko.

This comment is the reason why American White Nationalism is stupid. You're all mutts and no European country considers you mudbloods to be real whites.

Except all of them?

Did she offer her mom juices to the rest of the island?

>What threat?

The Guardian and Minerva, technically

>Inconsequential

It answered THE biggest mysteries of the show. Finn knows where he's from now.

>Yeah, a bunch of humans that look like Ooo's regular mutants sure is "creative"

There's only so much you can do with literal stick figures, I admire that they manage to do their best with the designs.

>Manufactured, cheap feels.

Come the fuck on. Manufactured nitpicking more like.

An actual complaint I have is that the VR episode felt pretty useless. It was a great episode on it's own, but I didn't get why some humans were fully VR immersed while others were freely walking around.

Human life means everything to her though.

Threat/Danger. Threat and Danger like the ship capsizing, or when Finn had to stand up to his Mom. It wasn't much and long lasting but it was good enough for me.

Backstory is backstory.

Fun- Imaginary Resources

Creative- had Imaginary Resources in mind too but overall the story as it went around had creative bits

I don't know why you're suddenly trying to punch me in the dick just because I said I liked this stuff, what the fuck is the problem? I'm not saying it's the best show ever, I'm not saying it's better than other shows, just that what it did was something I enjoyed. Also this is detailed in comparison to what we've been getting for awhile. Also part of the creativity I said was fun to look at.

I did say decent, not best.

>not compared to the early seasons
That's the best you can say? They left the whole continent of Ooo and went to a brand new location, after going across the sea and seeing different human colonies or the likes of such.

Again, why are you so pissy at me and thinking I'm over-praising? Was I being annoying about it? If you find a small list of things I liked about the miniseries annoying, you shouldn't be here. Also, I never said what we got was better than the older season, stop trying to shoot down things I never said.

Also, while I don't find the humans designs very creative or interesting, there are other things aside from the humans.

I think the problem with the human designs is that they had to make them look weird and outlandish so that they 1)Don't look boring because they're stick figures and 2)Can't have modern fashion because of all the time passing

But because the show is already weird and outlandish, instead of standing out they just blend in

I hated Susan's friend's design, just another reason I hated Susan's whole arc.

>"I hurt my friend a long time ago, I'm not sure if I'm allowed back into her life"

And she didn't get re-educated, aka brainwashed... why?
And Susan was under control. It's all just so dumb.

I could probably do more, later

>And she didn't get re-educated, aka brainwashed... why?

She did; if you'll notice the 'reeducating' thing wasn't brainwashing, it was literally just schooling. The hiders that Martin snitched on just went back like it was nothing.

Do something brainwash related.

The animation/effects were better than usual, but yeah that is because the everyday standard is so very low.

and I agree the backstory is inconsequential but people do like to know anyway. The more attached one gets to a show the more one wants to know.

>The more attached one gets to a show the more one wants to know.
Don't talk like that

what, using "one"? fuck you buddy, I don't have to dumb myself down for you.

That's it, fuck this show, it's over for me.
Why are they doing all that shit to finn, again?
Also why the fuck did they retcon finn's dad so hard? Or rather, not really retcon, but whatever the fuck was that?
He's been an asshole the whole show, and was shown as a leaving dad. Then this happens? He was an asshole, then somehow ended up better, started a new life with a loving wife, getting a son, and then just leaves? "I was going to come back for you, but I didn't, haha!"
At least they didn't make finn 'kill' his 'mom', I was sure they were going to do that, but this is still stupid.
Also another lesbian couple being forced, I guess. But who cares, we'll get used to that eventually.

>Also another lesbian couple being forced, I guess. But who cares, we'll get used to that eventually.

They're fucking friends

Susan JUST regained her memories and Frieda had moved on. They only just met after more than a decade.

Jesus christ.

Sure user, tell me that the next 36 times we'll see them together, hugging and hand-in-hand.

> together, hugging and hand-in-hand
Does any of that imply a homo relationship in the West? Not even snarking, legitimately curious.

>you just don't like me talking annoyingly because im smarter than you and you just can't understand it

An user said in another thread that it was more of a one sided crush on Frieda's part and I agree. She very clearly had a thing for Susan (the hologram scene, the blushing scene, the hugging scene), but it's unclear if Susan reciprocates her feelings.

That's just because she's the more talkative one.

Complain when that happens, then. As it stands they just met.

Even if she did that was decades ago.

I honestly wouldn't care if they did make them a couple in the future. If they can develop it and make it interesting, why not?

Plus, they're pretty cute together.

I wish Sup Forums would stop liking dumb things because "it's cute".

There are plenty of pairings that would be cute but also retarded. This one could actually work AND be cute.

Yeah, unless it's being done by small children. Hugging is fine as a greeting. Hand on shoulder kinda hug can also be ok. Where are you from? Legitimately curious as well

>but it's unclear if Susan reciprocates her feelings.
I'm not even sure if Susan's aware of her feelings, at least during the hologram scene. The implications seem to go completely over her head.

>defending hand-holding
sick

>am i really that buff
>i look great
