nice bait m8

>3 capeshit in the top 5
>'It Comes At Night' near the bottom

This cannot be real

Tbh I only really liked bladerunner and dunkirk the rest was pretty meh.

It comes at night is probably the most overrated movie I've seen all year. It was almost all complete trash

I want to say that at least you tried but you really didn't.

This
The rest was mediocre to garbage.
I'm still waiting on the oscar bait movies and some foreign movies on blu-ray, but overal the year was weak.
Thank god for Blade Runner and Dunkirk.

John Wick 2 and it's Korean counterpart.

A Ghost Story
Brawl in Cell Block 99
Song to Song
Shot Caller
Get Me Roger Stone

Shut taste itt

have a lot of people actually seen Thor 3 already? It doesn't come out until Thursday here in the states

...

no one cares about americucks anymore

God A Dark Song was horrorkino

>Death Note next to A Cure For Wellness

A Cure For Wellness was some underrated kino though

The only two marvel movies that deserve to be on that list are Logan and Thor Ragnarok. Spiderman Homecoming was a bland but fun reboot. GOTG Vol. 2 was too cheesy and emotionally manipulative.

is this the worst year for cinema?

It came out 24/10/17 in the UK. So I got to see it early.

Rough Night (ew)
Ghost In The Shell (ok)
Kingsman: The Golden Circle (bad)
Wonder Woman (not the best)
Resident Evil The Final Chapter (ew wtf)
Snatched (forgettable)
War For The Planet Of The Apes (gtfo)
Death Note (awful)

I think we can all agree that 2017 has been a steaming pile of shit.

>any jennifer lawrence movie is good

free fire
lost city of z
raw
a ghost story
dunkirk
br2049
okja
the meyerowitz stories
song to song

that's about it so far, really wanna see Good time

Only if your hopes were resting on POTC 5, The Mummy and The Nut Job 2. There were a lot of great movies this year. Blade Runner 2049, A Ghost Story, It Comes At Night, The Killing Of A Sacred Deer, Thor Ragnarok, Get Out, T2 : Trainspotting 2 and Logan are just a couple of great-good films

>it's arthouse so it must be good
bland story with little to no development
>b-but it's supposed to be like that

dont we say this every year

10. Thor 3
9. Split
8. John Wick 2
7. Okja
6. Logan
5. Dunkirk
4. Get Out
3. Baby Driver
2. Blade Runner 2049
1. A Ghost Story

>get out
Stopped reading there

>no development

>mfw people put baby driver in their favorites

Glad people enjoyed it, but considering Wright's past work it just seemed as a such a stepback... I just hate it when iI want to like a film but just can't

tfw you're not allowed to like Baby Driver because Sup Forums is full of autistic hipsters that hate it because reddit likes it

It and BR2049 are good.

Reddit also adores Blade Runner 2049 yet that's not stopping anybody from praising it so what's your point?

those are just all the movies that came out in america aren't they

well someone is gonna mention the square or loveless sooner or later user

what are your favorites?

Just wait. It'll happen. It's probably already happening.

Every time someone brings up Baby Driver the hivemind shouts "Reddit Driver".

It's especially bizarre because Sup Forums's godking Arnold actually likes Baby Driver.

wow fuck you okay that movie was great

m..me? the only movie i've seen that came out this year is 2049. i liked that one..

Any good torrents for Mother out yet?

it's not out yet you idiot

can anyone else imagine the OP laughing to himself like a giddy child at his own audacity as he included "Boss Baby" of all things in his funny picture

he probably looked up movies for 2017 until he found that poster and something clicked where he was like, "oh yeah I vaguely remember that was a thing that came out in 2017, oh man do I dare, it's so over the top but it's sooo funny to me, teeehee haha"

Bladerunner
Lady Macbeth
Dunkirk
War for the Planet of the Apes

Only good movies that came out this year, doubt my opinion will change by New Year, Alien Covenant was garbage

Get out

I didn't like it nearly as much as his Simon Pegg trilogy, but it's mindblowingly well directed. People are justifiably gushing over it from a technical standpoint.

>waah my backwards 3rd world shithole flick isn't on anyone's list a bloo bloo blooo

“Get Out”, “The Cure For Wellness”, “Logan”, “Wander Woman”, “Colossal”, “It Comes At Night”, “Berg VS McEnroe”, “Battle Of The Sexes”, “Big Sick”, “Song To Song”, “Personal Shopper”, “The Bat Batch”, “IT”, & “Detroit”

>technical standpoint
>mindblowingly well directed

I get the music is synced to the action bit, but as far as editing or soundtrack goes it's nowhere near the perfection of hot fuzz

but yeah the writing is where it really falls apart, you can see Pegg wasn't the co-writer this time around

exactly

>I didn't like it nearly as much as his Simon Pegg trilogy

It's the Nick Frost trilogy mate
