Voltron: Legendary Defender

Should Lotor be able to 1v1 a Lion like his dear old dad?

How strong would you like him to be? How seriously do you want the heroes to take him?

No

It was pretty dumb when Zarkon did it, it would be worse if Lotor did it

I say maybe not a warrior beast but an ace pilot would be nice.

Voltron outside and he casually prepares and starts up his fighter. Launches out and gets a hungry gleam in his eyes.

Utterly owns them with ease.

>Should Lotor be able to 1v1 a Lion like his dear old dad?

Depends on how much magic juice he's chugging. Regular form is Shiro level but on the goofjuice he could solo the Black Lion. Bonus points for body horror if he's a vain character.

So are they going back to Earth anytime soon
Probably not because they don't want to explain how Shiro got lost again

gotta love the mice

They can have an episode where it's revealed that the humans reverse engineered the Sentry corpse in Shiro's pod to create their own giant robots.

>10,000 year old being on a steady diet of pure quintessence that is spiritually bonded to another being that is also made of pure quintessence
>Dumb that they're a demigod

Lotor should be more charisma over raw power, I agree, but Zarkon should be able to slap shit.

I'd hope they would be more nuke-launching Metal Gears than humanoid ones. Should even give Voltron its own nuke cannon. Who needs lasers when you can have nukes?

Nukes are overrated.

THE HAMMER!

but all those gammas

yeah I'm confused, what's keeping them from earth? their ship can go anywhere. why have they specifically avoided earth instead of stopping by, letting earth's government know what's going on, what they should defend themselves against, that there's outer space shopping malls stocking earth products.. are they aware of that?

uhh, tell them how to build a teludav, start quintessence research, upload the history of Altea so it'll never be lost, let scholars start working on it..

>threads work like generals
>but you can't call them generals or the mods will delete them

I sure do love Sup Forums

No, because they're gonna have a new enemy. They thought taking down Zarkon would mean their job is finished, and then bam! Lotor.

it's absolutely bizarre, i've never understood it

No

Not very. Not very.

Up until recently going to Earth carried the risk of Zarkon making Earth a target, and it's pretty helpless against the Galra empire and will be for the next few centuries even if they dropped a bunch of Altean tech on it tomorrow.

Plus, it's unnecessary. You could go to the planet of people who could maybe make a half-decent proto-teludav within 30 years, or you could go to the planet that'll make you the best teludav ever in a few days using only their minds.

>Lotor should be more charisma over raw power

I mean, he ought to attack Team Voltron on a more intimate level because it will be hard for him to out-bastard Zarkon since his dad has been committing genocide and blowing up planets since the series began.

Like maybe after looking over the soul data or whatever that Haggar took from Shiro or mind-freaking Hunk (because I'm not sure how he could mentally prey on him) to get info, he'll wage a good deal of psychological warfare on his enemies to weaken them:

>sows discord between Keith and Lance as to who should be leader: Shiro liked him better than you/Where does this lanky family man get off talking to you about hardship?
>teases Pidge on how he knows who she really is and where her father might be located. Perhaps have her do a few innocent tactical favors for him and he'll tell her where he is
>captures Coran, only to treat him to a pleasant dinner where they wax lyrically about the good old days before offhandedly musing that he wonders why none of the Lions ever chose him to be a Paladin as he couldn't have been any worse than Zarkon, before letting him and his shaken ego go
>shamelessly hits on Allura with presents that remind her of Altea

but how is earth not a target anyway? zarkon knows about earth, knows where the paladins are from.. he could go wipe it out behind their backs any time just to break their morale
>unnecessary
I didn't mean so they could build a replacement, I meant for their own benefit. maybe so they could escape zarkon if necessary

>Lotor's been fighting in disputed foreign territory, as all good princes-in-semi-self-imposed-exile do
>A message comes through to the front that he's needed back home
>It was a cold and snowy day

[flamenco intensifies]

Damn nigga you vicious.

The Galra Empire has some knowledge of Earth, but I doubt Zarkon really knows about "Earth" on an intimate level.

Remember that the Galra Empire spans the universe, not just the galaxy, and a large portion still remains unconquered. There are potentially trillions of planets the new Paladins could be from, and I doubt Zarkon cared to narrow it down, considering his first and only priority was Voltron itself.

Plus they established that these guys don't really know what the fuck they are doing. The Black lion likes Shiro more but it's clear he's only scratching the surface of what it could do. Zarkon could probably beat the full Voltron Team if he had a duplicate of his Black Lion at full power.

He's not doing so well because he's as strong as Voltron, or he wouldn't care so much about getting his Lion back. He did as well as he did because he's not actually fighting the weapon he wants so much. I get the impression some of the old paladins in those things would have pushed his shit in in a fair fight.

>spans the universe, not just the galaxy
seriously? I got the impression it was just this local galactic cluster. well then maybe you're right. I just thought.. if zarkon's mall-cop equivalent works in a mall that knows what earth is, that all galra were aware of it

Zarkon mentioned that the OG Paladins fled when shit hit the fan, so while the Earth team might lack experience, I think they're the better Paladins where it counts.

Well, Sendak did say "ruler of the known universe". that could just be his fandoboyism talking, or it could be they've conquered what they've explored so far, leaving a lot of the universe still free from their control.

>still no spoopy episode
c'mon

God, these new fans are so stupid

>shiro is gone
>lotor jealous over how close allura and keith are
>"shallura season"

Granted, and I'm sure by the endgame they'll be the best Paladins ever, but it's not implausible now that Zarkon has done so well with the amateur hour. I'm betting the original Paladins were dealt with less conventionally (like maybe he attacked all of their planets at the same time or something), but I doubt he could fight them the way he could fight the current team.

Shalluras are really stupid but the worst tumblr users are still the Klancers. I think a really bad one at the moment is keithistrans. They are hating on Lotor because it somehow gets in the way of Klance. They're probably angry that artists are devoting time to the Lancelot ship instead of Klance 24/7.

>>shamelessly hits on Allura with presents that remind her of Altea

>Lotor has something the Paladins need
>promises to give it to them if Allura has dinner with him
>she dresses up and prepares to seethe her way through a pretentious meal of grandstanding and bullshit
>Lotor is dressed casually and takes her to a small, private kitchen
>cooks her favorite foods himself
>serves aged Altean wine that had been preserved perfectly in stasis in a private dining room decorated with the same kinds of flowers that were cultivated in the Altean royal palace 10k years ago
>tells her sweet stories about his mother, engages in pleasant conversation
>as the evening draws to a close he hands her the macguffin, escorts her to her shuttle, and sees her off
>Allura leaves wondering if he had an angle or if his intentions are legit

Even now, the lustful seed of what you have done germinates inside you.

Because first contact protocols would just drag everything down

Isn't keithistrans the one that baked the "Sheith is dead" cake?

Holy fuck I want this. Lotor so conniving that even his intentions are dubious. He doesn't hit on her the way Lance does, oh no, he's a gentleman. A gentleman who knows what he wants and will get it by any means necessary.

>waifu

she is a teenager reeeeeee

Shipping Keith and Lance with anyone but each other is problematic in their eyes.

Yep. They're a joke.

Will we get anything in season 3 that tops this?

The death of Klance

Will Lotor be a rapist in VLD?

I highly doubt it. He was one in GoLion but DotU completely removed that.

No, unless they dress Keith up in another skintight suit, except this time it gets ripped to shreds as he's fighting.

More than one attractive Galra making it to the end of the season.

No. According to the fandom, that's Sendak's job now.

They could always put him in a dress.

Those cute angel Thace and Ulaz pictures are getting made into charms if any fellow galrafags are looking for galramerch.

I doubt the current Paladins would be able to handle it if fucking Shiro betrayed them all to build an interstellar empire.

Didn't King Alfor have the old Paladins scatter the lions when Zarkon went evil? It's possible that Keith's mom then is one of the old Paladins or maybe a descendant considering this was 10,000 years ago. It's likely that all the old Paladins died hiding their lions and setting up all those tests to get access to them for a new generation of Paladins.

Only towards Romelle.

I'd like to cop them, but I swear to god, I'm so broke even ten bucks on charms is a fucking luxury for me. Pretty much everything I get goes to shit I need. Maybe I can get some next month if I'm not broke again...

Allura also stated that Zarkon has been out conquering the known universe while she was in stasis and shows a star map of all the territory he has and hasn't conquered already. Earth appears to be on the outside edge of unconquered space meaning to go after it he would be traveling through large swaths of space uncontrolled by Galra.

I could see Shiro building an interstellar empire only if he was left alone in his duty as paladin. After all it would be a good way of protecting the people and gathering the resources needed to protect them...

Keith in daisy duke shorts

>There are people who actually believe that Alfor piloted red
It's not worth it.

No, I think Lotor's dangerousness should be distinct from his father's. He shouldn't have the fighting prowess he had, but he should be a better strategist and manipulator

We don't actually know Zarkon just decided to take over the Universe one day.

I think Planet Doom being ruined in modern times isn't a coincidence. Zarkon's homeworld being sacrificed so Voltron could deal with some other threat would be a bit cliche, but I think its possible.

He needs a standard figther but with a bit of custom paint.

They knew Zarkon was tracking them, so visiting could draw attention to their planet. Shiro is the only Paladin much of Zarkon's elites saw out of his armor (who came back to tell the tale) so for all they know the other Paladins were picked up along the way after he got the Blue Lion from earth. With it gone the Galra had nothing making them interested in that planet. Also, I wouldn't put it past the Marmora to try and obfuscate the location/nature/significance of the planet that houses the Blue Lion.

HOWEVER, if Lotor were to pointedly start targeting earth and for the show to highlight how he deduces that the Paladins are from there it would be a good way of illustrating that he is just as dangerous as Zarkon if not more, just in different ways.

somebody will eventually get btfo regardless of the outcome

bent over his hoverbike

Purple Keith and/or an episode where the Paladins have to crossdress because reasons and Keith makes the most convincing girl

There should be an episode where Lance visits his family.

I honestly would like him to be a bit more of a schemer and thinker than his dad. Would be interesting to see the Paladins to adapt to an enemy who can change things up on them while presenting a clear physical threat.

I'd adore this

Why not both.png

I need sexy southern Keith pinup art so bad.

Same, I can't believe I haven't seen anything like that yet.

Do you think Keith's mom put on daisey dukes for his dad? I bet she did.

More like McCree put them on for her.

Voltron eventually finds a way to defeat the Galra. Put hot humans in daisey dukes and have them speak in Southern accents.

Will Keith win the Shirobowl?

I do not understand the shipping for this show.

In an alternate reality, yes.

He already has.

He has sorta daisy dukes in here, and a stripper pole.

...

>ywn tenderly hug your best bro while holding hands in between your chests so you can feel each other's heartbeats and nuzzle your face into his shoulder with your eyes closed

>Homodachi.jpg

It hurts. If one of them had been a girl, I think they probably would end up together. Their story has kind of a star crossed love feel to it.

>Their story has kind of a star crossed love feel to it.

It does. This is the second time Keith has lost Shiro. It's like the universe is trying to keep them apart.

I know we always talk about girlKeith, but I think girlShiro would have been something nice.

I'm pretty sure that if one of them was a girl they'd pretty much be a conformed endgame ship by now with how their interactions go. If s1 was mostly Keith looking up at Shiro with respect kind of feeling s2 was them singling each other out from the rest and leaving little doubt to whom the closest and dearest person was in the team to both Shiro and Keith. Not to dismiss other ships, but Allura and Lance (and Pidge and Hunk), in their current situation, do not hold a candle to Shiro and Keith.

This must be from the episode where they're stranded on an alien planet and the paladins all have to come up with ways to make money to buy a part they need so they can leave.

shiro only gives keith tender hugs

Keith didn't even hesitate for a second before taking out the booty shorts.

Deleted scene from the space mall episode then?

I think Lance is the only one who likes Allura Lance.

(im not crying)

>Starts off with small mind games
>As time goes on and he's defeated again and again his methods only become more brutal
>Halfway through the series he captures and brutally mindrapes one of the Pilots
>Has Pidge's brother/dad as his mind controlled servant/meatshield
>By the end of the Season he's taken over earth and makes it abundantly clear he will genocide their home if they don't bend the knee

How would you feel if they made Lance/Allura canon?

...

He really wanted Pidge and Lance to get that console.

Based on avatar the last airbender, I wouldn't dismiss space sokka dating the white haired princess.

So I think Lotor might target earth, the olkari, the balmera, basically anywhere they have confirmed presence of Voltron plus the pilots home solar system. Not a big engagement but enough for them all to send off messages for help at the same time. That would let Lotor gauge where he should apply pressure depending on who they help first.

...

>It's like the universe is trying to keep them apart.
Ugh, I didn't ask for this feel.

Suprised, and maybe a bit hopeful Lance needs some time to actually develop his character, and it would troll the everloving fuck out of the nostalgiafags.

tender.
