It was a weird synth music, Guardians of the Galaxy meets Valerian and "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" kinda film. Probably the most "fun" Marvel film since Avengers 1.

I actually enjoyed it and I thought it would suck. There were some definite annoying tropes and some very very annoying contemporary political bullshit, but otherwise very fun.

It's not bad, but it gets old really fast how they quip abour everything. Colors are nice, all the He-Man saturday morning 80s cartoon was comfy, Thor going against Surtur's minions at the beginning of the movie with the hammer was fun, also him going solo against Hela and her minions when he finally weilds his God of Thunder powers was cool too.
The quips and the faggot director with his insert character are the worst. The dude doesn't know when to stop. The same with his shit character popping up every single time with that fucking idiotic voice that doesn't suit a huge dude made out of rocks at all. He is the one ruining the moment Asgard gets blown up and makes a fucking joke about it when the surviving Asgardians are all looking almost crying.
It's sad this fucker will get another round at making and ruining more movies because this will only get worse

You are right, it is by all means a better Thor movie than the last two, but he has gone from a somewhat regal spoiled chad prince to a master of quips. When it's enough? And Waititi's did that to every single character, there's not a single character that doesn't quip. Hela does it too when she is about to massacre the Asgardian warriors on the plaza.
Movie wasn't terrible, but it is so damn light that it is almost as forgetable as Ant-man.

Korg? at first pretty much explains to Thor how the whole gladiatorial arena works, he makes like three or four jokes when doing so. Then he just shows up when the gladiators are rebelling and he makes at least one joke, then he shows up on the bifrost and makes the same joke about escaping on a ship to Heymdall and helps to hold the line while the Asgardians refugees jump on ship.
He actually makes fun when Asgard blows up and everybody is sad as shit to see their home go and he makes at least two more when Thor gets on the throne.
It's like too much for an inconsequential random character.

Exactly my thoughts. I've read people saying the movie is shit or not worth it to watch in a theatre, truth is, it's fun, colorful, decent action scenes and that's it. If you look into it more than that you will hate Korg, start asking where the fuck is the actual Thor and counting the amount of jokes.
As I said before, I will probably rewatch it when it gets a HD release.

I'm not buying anymore comics, or getting hyped for movies, or even recommending people read comics or watch superhero movies anymore. But I'm still watching them and they are fun. Action scenes were fantastic and hype as fuck desu. This is probably my 3rd favourite Marvel film only behind the first Iron Man and Winter Soldier.

Not really. It's a solid movie. Main story kind of takes a backseat to side plot, but it's all good. You don't have to turn off the brain, it's not a completely retarded movie full of plot holes, nor a huge nonsensical mess of special effects like Transformer.

It's a pretty solid comedy/action movie, well directed and edited, got some nice colours, lots of funny well written lines and a complete disregard to how the character Thor behaved and acted lorewise.

It just doesn't sound worth my money. I've never gone to the cinema for a comedy before. I mean it's going to be out on home release in like 8 weeks just like homecoming was so do I have any reason not to wait for a rip?

Trust me, it's not funny. It could have been funny if they didn't try to cram a joke into literally every single line of dialogue in the movie, but it just comes off as cringy 99% of the time. If they kept it to one comic relief character and maybe added some situational jokes for the other characters then it would be fine, but they wrote literally every single character in the movie, apart from I think one, to be a smart mouth wise cracking jokester, only most of the jokes fall flat and they have to break character for the delivery to work. It's "fun for the whole family" type funny, not actually funny.
