The castle rock entertainment logo and sound has burned into my mind despite never paying attention it because it was always at the end of Seinfeld episodes.
DIC
...
>twister begins playing
>you're cut too shushy
not really a logo but this was aired before every major movie when I was a child, it freaked me out sooo much

Anyone remember those minivans that were like Looney Tunes edition?
>AB
>SO
>LUTELY
only britfags know true terror
Checked and I haven't seen the behind the scenes yet. Neat.
Whats sad is that model probably ended up in a landfill somewhere. Just the amount of detail they put into it, right down to people fucking in the red light district, hookers on the corners and tiny little lights in all the cars......
It does make me wonder what becomes of these cool ass models. Here's one I think would be cool to look at in person, but who knows what happened to it.
Not exactly thread related but would be cool to look at due to the detail youtu.be
...
Yeah, regardless of how people may feel about the games or gaming in general, that commercial was incredible. Shit like that and that one russian QT who keeps winning awards for painting warhammer figs is why I always hate people who talk shit about scale model building or war gaming because if you sink enough time into it and get good with it you can create some full on museum pieces.
Absolutely. I'm not into it at all, but I can certainly respect the time and effort that goes into something like model building. To make it look so detailed and to provoke emotion is pretty cool.
You ever want to just look at some neat shit, look up the games day winners from the past decade or so. Some of those dioramas and single figures belong in a museum being critiqued and watched by the curious instead of pairs of glasses laying on the floor and toilets with signatures and shit.
And hell, some of them can be pretty dark and even lewd as well, such as the diorama of a group of imperial guardsmen getting ready to rape an eldar woman. Whoever did it is probably dealing with some dark demons of their own considering the amount of detail they put into a rape scene featuring little plastic and metal figures.
Disney of course
>when you pop a VHS in and youtu.be
Used to be the mark of quality, now just the mark of money.
Nice. I'll check some out. Anytime I think of that stuff this scene always pops into my head
That's why I picked the old logo, watching that before the latest cartoon movie or special was always good.
>Hercules
>Aladdin
>Tarzan
>Lion king
>Mulan
>Little Mermaid
>Goofy Movie
Whatever you watched was going to be good with that specific opening.
Holy shit that was awesome, why havent I ever seen that movie, what the fuck.
Sad thing is you could probably never have a scene like that today because it would fly over the normal movie going audiences head and we would have 30 threads trashing it for "autism" because "hur dur the old guy and his toy soldiers, he should just go back to /tg/ hurrrrr trench coat le fedora katana based nippon".
Sshh.
Check it out. It has what's probably the best car chase scene in movie history.
>mfw three minutes into the car chase and then the suspense music kicks in for another five minute ride. Also, I heard the person who did all the car stunts was actually in the vehichles when they wrecked. The director put an extra steering wheel in the cars so the actors could mimic what they were seeing while in the car with the stunt driver.
god I loved this fucking intro
youtube.com
awesome. Today they would kill two or three stuntmen because they wouldnt let them wear helmets because they want that "authenticity" (really meaning we cant have our main character wear a helmet so lets put the stunt people at risk too.)
I like when they mess with the opening logo
Coming soon to own on video cassette.
2:27 is pure kino intro
rest in peace

Grr Arrgh
This is the HBO intro I remember and great up with, but damn if that Tracking image didn't bring back my childhood

I love that one, the cheap CG is actually charming in a way.

"BROUGHT TO YOU BY YOUR FRIENDS AT THE (((WEINSTEIN))) COMPANY!"
I dont care what anyone thinks of RLM, but the greatest thing Jay ever gave us was the link to this video.
Its like all of the bumpers/intros in this thread, all of the full on commercialism and all of the greatest parts of my childhood rolled into one.

the mark of quality
>Tfw seeing the new logo for the first time on PotC
>Now every time you see the logo you just know it's not going to be fun, magical, heartfelt, sincere, or even worth the time
You just knew it was about to be a great night.
Popcorn please
Wake up, time to die.
Home sick.
That particular logo has to be immediately followed up with this, or I get mental blue balls.

I tie them together in my head, just as much as the 20th Century Fox fanfare and the Star Wars opening.
Fuck all of you.
I STILL cant unhear it to this day.

Friday night video time.
British late night or Sunday afternoon tv.
youtu.be
That era of New Line for me will always be associated with either Friday, or Dumb and Dumber.
I'd see this and know it was time for bed.
Who DOESN'T remember this?
Woke me up from being up too late.
Godzilla 1985 is about to start.
Sad to see how far they have fallen.
Best tv show.
That shit unlocked some memories that I wasn't even aware that I had. Whistled the tune as it was playing.
Lookout it's time for one of mom's movies.
Holiday Time.
That HBO theme syncs up perfectly with the Metal Wolf Chaos opening cutscene. That's the game where the US president pilots a mech.
Snoozefest in school time.
Best Universal logo coming through.
I think it also turned up for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, but Beetlejuice is the main one for me too.
I am fond of that one, but I always hear the Jurassic Park version.
