Is this the worst subplot ever?

Is this the worst subplot ever?

the second i saw this group in the very beginning of the season i knew without a doubt i could skip all of their scenes and any scene even halfway involving them and miss absolutely nothing integral to overall plot of the show

think of all the good she could be doing with her powers, she could be in her homeland making toilets look like streets and finally having pajeet join the rest of the civilized world but no

they look like the most unlikely bunch of criminals ive ever seen.

i always imagine that woman having a unibrown when i see thumbnails... am i being racist or something?

>3 niggers and a faggot leftist wearing a dog collar
Nope, usual suspects

Garbage people are the worst subplot.

The saddest thing is that you can tell Netflix wanted us to all go "WOW THAT WAS SO COOL, I WANT TO SEE MORE OF THAT DIVERSE QUIRKY CREW"
It was a stealth pilot crammed into a popular show.

>stealth pilot
Bingo. Removing the filler episode would bring S2 down to 8 episodes (like S1 was).

>tfw when the giant ape did gay porn

>she could be in her homeland making toilets look like streets and finally having pajeet join the rest of the civilized world

It's pretty fucking bad. It's going to turn into some capeshit next season, featuring Super Friends vs the Legion of Doom.

Why am I seeing Indians in everything now?

4 ugly walking stereotypes of "cool" multikultiklan members. Fuck no. Instant turn off.

Which episode is filler? Ok to skip completely?

Episode 7 was the Watch Dogs 2 of the season

>shit finally starting to happen
>better have an episode where Eleven hangs out with a poo in loo and her punk band that is completely unrelated to the main plot
why did they think this was a good idea

The probably expected some kind of transitive interest to be imbued to the shit pilot
Like, they put it right after a cliffhanger because maybe you'll still be excited and think it's because of the Diversity Squad

They clearly had no idea what to do with Eleven this season. Should have just kept her stuck in the upside down.

In b4 they're the main villains of s3.

Oh they just have her rejoin the gang after an episode showing her with Hopper, and then have them take on a new problem that can't be solved with her mind powers.
So you can have a grow as a character without just being an OP Deus ex Machina

I'm not even up to this episode and everything is just bad, like they completely ran out of ideas. Everything just drags on uninterestingly and there's looming evil. This shit is boring as fuck. How is this shit from the same guys that made season 1? It feels like a cheap knock off.

Season 1 was clearly supposed to be stand alone.

Like the other guy said, it was meant to be a standalone. But then it got SUPER popular and Netflix pretty much said "Get us Season 2 right the fuck now"
And they were totally unprepared for it.

So they just played adlibs with the S1 script and that's what we got

It was awful. Especially including the mud skin for no reason.

>faggot leftist
Can you autists go five minutes without sperging out about political shit?

>episodes 1-6
>wow i love strangers things
>episodes 7
>why the fuck does L look like little keanu
>pink streaks in mohawk?
>that dudes hair must require alot of upkeep
>arent they a pack of hobos?
>guess ill keep watching just incase something important happens
>it doesnt
>too late
>diversity quota met

Poo in it.

its a shame the directors or whoever responsible couldnt put a little effort into giving this bunch an authentic 80's appearance. this literally looks like a bunch of kids from 2017 who are dressing up as 80's people for halloween.

Triggered

Leave that dog alone!

This is why they dont go on bant anymore.

Wrong. The Duffers posted a list somewhere, it had like 7 titles on it, that were all names of stories they wanted to tell, the first one being "The Boy who Came Back to Life". Each title would pertain to a season of the show, this one being The Mind Flayer.

Well they did a total shit job and they're total fucking hacks then

8's power is going to be the cause of some giant twist in the next season. Probably halfway through the season the characters will learn that something they all believed was just an illusion, creating a domino effect which undermines all other assumptions set up during the season. By heavily featuring these new characters in the previous season before abruptly leaving them, the showrunners have ensured that viewers will not suspect the possibility of this twist before the big reveal (because Kali's gang will have received no formal introduction during the third season prior to the twist) yet viewers will immediately remember their role in season two and understand what has happened. When you think about it it's actually absolute bullshit what the fuck were they thinking

Probably.
But 8's power is lame anyways
It should have been the dad's power from Firestarter. They already took so much from that book. Why not that one bit too

if stranger things was made as a one off season/short story and they completely ended it within that first season it would be kino

...

Do you have other titles?

this makes sense

kek

The only thing I really disliked about season two was the complete pussification of the Demogorgon. Last season it was the main monster, and was something to actually be afraid of, it was a silent force of nature killing from the darkness and you never knew where it could be. This year we get Demodogs. Spooky dogbois looking like some faggoty resident evil movie critter, acting like a minion for a bigger evil that didn't even do much for the majority of the show

This is how liberals picture the future

No, I don't have the picture and can't really remember. Don't even know if this one was actually called The Mindflayer or something else, but I remember being really spooked by them

Last season the Demogorgon was fully grown and had the power to shift between planes, which was what made it so scary.
I agree they went a little too far with how much they nerfed it but if you have an adolescent gorgon that can't shift the threat level is much lower.

black people existed in the 80s you know

The big smoke monster really had a fucking alien head? Please be more creative

she has a fucking moustache

Theres atleast one black person with well paying and respectable job in every shot.

It's head was fine. The worst part was that it was made of smoke.

...

Yeah just skip 7. It doesn't cut to the actual story a single time and is never brought up again.

I thought they were badass.

Did they even make the animals into baby Demogorgons?
Fucking hackery
>MEMBER DEMOGORGONS????

They had all this opportunity to expand on the Upside Down and they just flaccidly shat out a repeat of the first season

First season actually had better Upside Down content too. Running around in a parallel reality version of Hawkins,

>season 2
TUNNELS

like fuck OFF
Side note, really fucking looking forward to David Harbour playing Hellboy.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

no you fucking didn't

Why were there even tunnels anyway?
Shouldn't the vines have just crawled through the soil without making a huge space to walk through?

Yeah, what they could have done is have S2 be the Half-Life 2 of the series.
The Demogorgon was just a small part of the Upside Down that noticed El. Just like in HL1 the big brain fucker was just a nobody who happened to be listening when humanity was fucking around in extra-dimensional shit.

S2 should have been about the REAL powers of the Upside Down noticing reality. It kinda was with the Mind Flayer, but it should have gone above and beyond what they did. Not stupid tunnels and rotting pumpkins. Yeah, maybe that's ok for Episode 1 or 2. It should have been apocalyptic by the end.
And the best part?
They should have failed. Season 3 is a Red Dawn style resistance

It was limp dicked and unambitious.

Fuck you he had bills to pay.

They are the newest burger ally because chinks are the new rival, so hollywood has to obligatory pander. Lrn2softpower

>It should have been apocalyptic by the end

That's what I thought and hoped was going to happen when the dog monsters took out the science facility. But then they just stayed in the building and I was bored again.

Umm racist and sexist much sweety???

S2 was full of half-measures like that
Like when Will got Fisherman's Wife'd by the Mind Flayer.
I was like Holy Shit! Shit just got real!
And then it didn't. It didn't get real.

It was all hype with no payoff. Almost as if they had absolutely no idea what they were doing and were just writing the scripts as they were filming.

That's why I think that the user above claiming they had this shit planned out is full of shit.
They're just LOSTing this shit

Im assuming the tunnels were made so the Demo-dogs could move around discreetly.

To do what?
They did nothing but try to rescue Spy-Will
And get BTFO offscreen by El

can you kikes go 1 show without inserting your cuckoldry politics in it?

They look pretty cozy to be honest. I wouldn't mind grabbing some Chinese food with them and some Pepsi while listening to them talk about the Struggle.

Probably just to feed and hunt until they were fully grown and could then invade the town.

I'm talking about what's in the show.
Just another wasted idea
Maybe a bunch of people go missing
But I guess that'd be TOO much like S1

>so that's why you've been staring at yourself in the mirror like some faggot
holy shit, based dad

No yeah, I did enjoy this season
but one of my biggest complaints has to be how
poorly focused the overall plot can feel at times.
Like I feel they should have dropped a sub-plot or two
and just focus a bit more on the Mindflayer.

Yeah, that was a big problem with this season.
Everyone had their own separate plotline.
Will and Mike had their thing
Dustin and Lucas and their Max thing.
El was separate till the end
Bob and Winona were separate

Everyone had their own fucking story. And that really brought down the season

Is this true? That board is pretty shit though.

>Something they all believed was an illusion
>Johnathon isn't coming back
