Can we universally agree that this was in fact Reddit the Movie?
Can we universally agree that this was in fact Reddit the Movie?
Don't know, haven't seen it.
I wouldn't know. I don't browse reddit, redditor.
no but at least you could post whatever retarded infographic or pasta you're using to define redddit
what exactly makes movie 'reddit'? humor, tone, actors?
>Can we universally agree that this was in fact Reddit the Movie?
it doesnt matter. the movie is pretty great
Movies you like.
Why is Reddit so infatuated with this Atlantean pottery forum anyway?
>im gonna have to SCIENCE THE SHIT OUTTA THIS
So deep
what if i don't really like any movies, don't hate them either. just watching to fill free time?
>he didn't get it
...
An ok movie kind of ruined by the 'le quirky young science guy' coming up with a relatively obvious solution like it was some brilliant discovery.
no this was
>billions spent to bring one dude home
Really makes me think. Not that I'd want that money pissed away on third worlders but man that shit would not go over well in real life
I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it other than
>LE black quippy young man coming up with le genius solution which much smarter and qualified people ignored
>The most obvious Chinese pandering other than Transformers 4
The PR nightmare of knowing about him and leaving him die would be much much worse than spending billions. Also RIP space program for a few years when an astronaut dies
>strong womyn
>diverse cast for no reason
>dude SCIENCE LMAO
>we must work together with other nations!
hmm ye this reasoning is good enough
In real life a martian storm couldn't tip over a launcher.
The heroes of the movie are science and cooperation. He isn't portrayed as some kind of super-genius. Other characters are portrayed as being as smart, if not smarter than him (the astrodynamics kid is the 'Einstein' of the movie).
The message is that science is cool and you can be cool too. I'm not sure if it's a brilliant movie or not, but it's brilliant all the same. There isn't nearly enough movies like this.
His real strengths are his will to survive and his ability to maintain calm and think rationally under insane pressure (good advert for NASA).
I always had it figured that every one of the other rocket scientists KNEW you couldn't theoretically do it; but nobody bothered to realisticly run the numbers as a realistic scenario because A: they had a plan already in place let's focus on that and B: it's fucking retarded and way too risky
And yeah there was some shilling for the Dogeaters but let's be honest the only other realistic options are the Dashcam drunks, and THAT has been done a few times and China fits the 'near future' well enough (note I think Russians would have been a better choice but w/e)
>alright guys thanks to my uncle Tommy in China we get another crack at his
Still funny to me m8
Are you on krokodil right now?
Feels like it lad
