Probably not. I really hope it gets green lit though, the pilot was too good.

Hopefuly not, I just want it to be succesful

An extremely autistic fanbase isn't really necessary

It'll get greenlit when Moobeard, Tiffany, and Ivan the Unbearable get greenlit.

>Moobeard
So NEVER EVER?

Yes.

It's only a pilot
yet I'm already annoyed by its fanbase

Rightfully so.

It doesn't have the political overtones to hyper charge the fanbase autism, and only one women keeps the waifufags docile for now.

Don't think so. From the very pilot, SU had lesbian power all the way. I think the pacing is more of a mixture between Over the Garden Wall and We Bare Bears, but i hope it develops it's own pace and rhythm. Having said that, i think it'll only be a limited miniseries.

Eh. The main character will get some hype, but the cast seems a bit too small to generate that level of autism, at least at the moment.

If the show was, to, say, randomly introduce a squad of quirky edgy antiheroes that gradually warmed up to the main character over the course of the second season, then it would get a fanbase.

>Will it become the new Steven Universe

I'm sure it'll become a favorite between the ages of 6 and 8. Essentially a cartoon for very young people. Certainly inferior to Invader Zim and Over the Garden Wall. Intolerable souvenir-shop style, romanticist clichés. Nothing I would care to watch myself. In mentality and emotion, hopelessly juvenile. Romantic in the large sense. A slightly bogus cartoon, a soon to be shelved cartoon.

>Sup Forums loves the pilot
>First few episodes come out
>Sup Forums loves it
>Suddenly tumblr takes a liking to it
>Sup Forums being full of mega-hipsters then collectively decide to hate the show even though there hasn't been any dip in quality

Yeah I can see that

Would be very hypocritical of Sup Forums not to hate this show desu. The pilot follows the same tradition as shows that Sup Forums whines about all the time.

What tradition is that?

wow so dogetastic

Simple cutesy inoffensive art, soft quirky humor, leep dore, random moments of horror.

Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, and Adventure Time come to mind

Pretty much my point.

bump

So this show is essentially Gravity Falls for Cartoon Network, but a higher up on CN doesn't like it and wants it cancelled?

cutesy? she's by far the ugliest-looking cartoon female main character in recent memory

cutesy style != cute characters

There shouldn't be a new Steven Universe.

Is there porn though

I can't deal with the art style.
It's really...unpolished looking.
It's a cool concept but the colors and art style kill me.

Not unless Kyle quits Magiswords.

Tulip is cute. CUTE!

...

No
Because CN probably won't fucking pick it up and blame it on the low ratings of the airing of the pilot at 6 AM today

it'll become the new 12-forever cancelled after one or two episodes

...

Twelve Forever didn't even get past one episode.

Why is the protagonist female though

Why not?

I wanna say it premiering on TV is gonna get it some leeway but man why 6 p.m? I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt then they do stuff like that.

Adventure series with a logical, level-headed, but strong-willed character seems exactly like the quintessential 'boy adventurer' but then they just changed the genders of the character at the last moment to appeal to producers or something

>at the last moment
so you were involved in the pitch?

>Adventure series with a logical, level-headed, but strong-willed character seems exactly like the quintessential 'boy adventurer' but then they just changed the genders of the character at the last moment to appeal to producers or something

That's the most of the show on the channel though.

This is a nice change of pace.

im saying it seems like it was designed with a boy in mind but for some reason it was changed

user, you can just admit you're intimidated by women.

>wants it cancelled?
How do you cancel something that never got greenlit in the first place

>they just changed the genders of the character at the last moment to appeal to producers or something

Ahahaha, what fantasy world do you live in where you think a CN show is MORE likely to get greenlit with a female lead?

Unless you're counting the PPG reboot, know what the last CN original show with a girl protagonist was? Juniper Lee. Which came out twelve years ago. CN's big bosses are scared of girl shows unless they're shitty remakes of proven successes from the 90's

There's no reason for it to be either gender. Don't be like the Transformers fans.

How come? What in that pilot says "boy" to you?

I don't know why? Plenty of shows with female MCs that could be passed off to a boy.

>logical, level-headed, but strong-willed character seems exactly like the quintessential 'boy adventurer'

The protagonist comes off like a lost Johnny Quest in drag.

uh yeah it does, dude.

the huge glasses, horizontal eyes, prominent nose, tiny little peanutty ears..

These are all things girls can have.

>logical, level-headed, but strong-willed character

Hermoine Granger, Connie Mahaschwaran, Twilight Sparkle About half of the Disney Princesses.

Y'all are reaching.

The robot is annoying. Just replace it with King Dog.

Is this copypasta?

You're saying that only males are able to have those features. Is it because she doesn't have eyelashes?

Honestly when you put it this way I really don't see this character NOT being female.

She's definately more of a Hermoine than, say, a Wirt from OTGW.

None of these characters existed without a male protagonist to lean on

Naw more like the new adventure time. Hope it gets aired though seems cool enough.

Never saw Sup Forums hating gravity falls. Cant say the same for the ither shows

TULIP IS CUTE

CUTE

No user. No.

Why do you care?

DOA

Doesn't have that much potential

I don't buy it but i can see why you might think that. Erase the ponytail and the glasses and she looks manly as fuck.

I dunno what you mean m8

It will become CN's Gravity Falls
Meaning it will start off fine but end up a lackluster mess.

Sad!

Corgis are not doge fuck you

>People still think this show isn't going to be canned in the first season.

>implying it will even get greenlit

Just watched the pilot.
Looks good.
A mystery!
Fantastical environments!
MC not making you want to stab yourself to death!

I have my hopes for this one.

bump

...

She looks like a fucking background character. Like, I can do better holy shit

That's part of her appeal
Incredibly bland
Young girls will eat this shit up

I want to fuck the bird

The only way the show could work if it got greenlit is if it was a miniseries like OTGW

>It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Eh, I can see why. Need someone to relate to. But, I'd still like to see interesting character designs. Even if they are simple.

She looks like a normal everyday person. Which I think is the point.

Honestly did not like the short at all. It was very bland and I don't see it actually going anywhere.

oweeeeendennis.tumblr.com/post/156981746027/have-you-heard-any-news-about-infinity-train-being

No, I'm not sure the show will be able to carry itself for a full series. A 10ish episode mini-series would work better, since you would avoid dragging the mystery out like Gravity Falls.

It doesn't seem to have any fujo bait or autistic OC potential, so no.

MLP never had any sociology shit in it and that became a huge autismbase.

You sound like me, talking about Twelve Forever.

I just checked these out and they're all garbage. couldn't hold my attention for 3 minutes.

The pilot episode was fucking garbage. All the jokes were just a concept for a joke but no payoff. It looked like it had promise as just a cube/hypercube style puzzle room thing but they left the train pretty much immediately and that, like everything else, never went anywhere interesting.

>new Steven Universe
Seems like it's more in line with Gravity Falls.

That aside, the setting seems to imply that we'll only have two recurring characters. I don't think that's enough to really catch a lot of people. It will have to come down to the world building and the mystery aspect to lure fans in.

Lore is great and all but that takes time to build up in a series. The show will need to be entertaining on an episode to episode basis to be successful. This usually needs other characters to play off of. The setting of the show can give us any number of interesting settings and characters within.

The problem with that is that the show writers will need to spen a lot of time thinking up new settings and characters. If they try and come up with a new settings for each episode, I can see them burning out or running out of ideas. Or coming up with poor ideas.

I think it'll come down to how they handle that aspect.

When did su pilot have lesbian stuff?

So, what was the ratings for tv-release of the pilot?

Is they were off the charts or through the roof?

I think it's cool because it's AT but the main character isn't a fighter type who charges into danger but is actually a book nerd who is most likely a huge loser in real life. It makes the solutions different.

GF finale is still the biggest letdown. I can't get over it.

I'm certain you didn't watch the same pilot I did.

SU did a huge style change, maybe her shit design could get gud. It's by far the weakest thing out of an otherwise promising pilot.

GF did EVERYTHING ideally. If you are not happy with the ending then it's your problem and you should feel bad.

>It will become CN's Gravity Falls

I fucking wish. GF was great

No it didn't. All of 2b was a complete and total mess. Weirdmaggedon itself was a roller coaster ride of quality. The conflict between Dipper and Mabel could have been solved in such a stupidly easy way it is painful. Stan's sacrifice immediately being undercut was a terrible move.

Alex please

"Is it true?"
"Don't ask me about my business Kate."

What fanbase? Sup Forums isn't a 'fanbase'

>tfw now I wanna go outside
