He's doing the Busy Street's schtick 7 years too late. In a recent video, Douge had to beg his fans to come to this convention because people just don't give a shit about the reviewing craze anymore.

I mean people still do watch reviews. People just realized that Doug wasn’t as good as better people came around (RedLetterMedia, CinemaSnob, etc). Doug is just notable for being pretty much the first YouTube movie reviewer. He’ll, AVGN is still doing pretty well.

There’s a lot of examples of that, being first in your genre but only being remembered for that once better people come around.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Metokur is friends with TJ. Plus, honestly, all those controversies aside, TJ is still pretty successful. Dude has over a million subscribers now.
