Thor Thread

It was good, get over it DC fags

I agree

>inb4 DCucks shouting Disney Shill/Mouseketeer/Mouse House

After Early plot details and first teaser I was expecting a 97

after reading it would be "marvels funniest movie" I expected a 90.

We got a 93.
Good outweighed the bad.
Action sequences were pretty good.

After the shitfests that were GotG 2 and Homecoming, this was a pretty nice surprise. I always liked the director's comedy style so the quips didn't bother me.

DBZ Thor fight at the end was fun.

Why did you not like GotG2? I thought Ego was a pretty good villain

agree

complaints
-obviously a little too light hearted
-howd hulk get to that random ass planet on the quinjet
-Hulk should have been in the action scene at the end instead of disappearing with doggie.
- maybe some more banner
-The way hela got killed

Don't like Gunn's style of comedy, I find it tryhard and obnoxious. Ego was pretty good, but not enough to make me like the movie overall.

>good reviews
>does well at box office
>audiences seem to like it
>still complain that a bunch of autistic pedophiles on a Taiwanese sushi collecting website think it's garbage
Man, just let it go

it was a decent comedy, a mediocre action movie
anything more than that and youre basically admitting you belong to the big bang theory audience

>DUDE COLORS LMAO

It was shit.

I thought the action actually stood out.
comedy was ok.

action sequences, especially near the end put it over the top.

>why is a movie based on my super hero comics bright and colorful!?

>WHO NEEDS A PALETTE AND COMPOSITION
>JUST COLORS AND SHIT ROFL

The cgi was horrendous. Shockingly bad in the arena. Also hilarious how the entirety of Asgard empties into a convenient cargo ship in 5 mins. Completely garbage.

action was nothing better than any other capeshit
also: asgard gets fucking destroyed and nobody gives two shits

>only people who like dc movies hate thor ragnarok

capeshit is for children

It is SHIT.

>Grandmaster says he is young and winks at an alarmed Loki
>later on Loki reveals he has the code to access the orgy ship

>thor being good
It was ok, but nothing great or memorable that is rewatchable and "rub-in-your-face-dcuck" worthy

Lots of portals in the universe lead to Sakaar. Things fall there nonstop. Just after Thor fell, something else also did.

Jeff Goldblum was great, he should have been in it more.

why is Civil War your favorite?

Check this retard

Shit taste.

Because he has shit taste

For god's sake stop watching capeshit already. If you can't manage that at least don't pay to watch it.

Heavily character driven, explores the interactions between characters you're invested in, plot isn't the generic evil powerful villain wants to destroy/conquer the world, it was serious when it had to and quippy when it didn't, plot has ZERO holes and makes complete sense, many reasons really.

Your tastes are shit. Post them so we can laugh.

And when a new arrival asks about Gjallerbru, a moment celebrated by comics fans both young and old, the Mousecucks and the fanboys always answer the same:

"Huh?"

And that answer is enough.

DCucks lose again

Zemo's entire scheme is a plot hole, and Tony not already decrypting all the leaked files and Steve not at least telling him Bucky *might* have been involved in the Starks' deaths after what he saw in The Winter Soldier, well that's just shitty characterization.

Homecoming was good. It's not a superhero movie, it's a comedy movie.

Shit taste.

Cate Blanchett gave me the boner of my life, that's all I have to say about this movie.

Fuck this is a bad list.

OBSESSED

In my theater, when Doctor Strange appeared, the kid sitting behind me yelled "Superman!" It triggered my autism so hard

My list and taste is amazing and is definitely better than yours
>Zemo's entire scheme is a plot hole
Your mom is a plot hole
>and Tony not already decrypting all the leaked files and
If Fury/ScarJo/Cap relayed the info to him at all.
>Steve not at least telling him Bucky *might* have been involved in the Starks' deaths after what he saw in The Winter Soldier, well that's just shitty characterization.
"I thought I was sparing you but I was sparing myself"
Cap isn't a god, he's a human with flaws like everyone else

Dat hip sway. She owned that costume. I wished she'd have had more to do, but getting her in there was worth every penny. I'd be a-ok if she ends up replacing Death as Thanos' goal in IW. First Magic Tilda was awesome in Doctor Strange and now Hella Sexy.

I unironically thought it was really good.

better be good after ~50 pieces of shit

I had a blast with it. I grew up with buddy road movies like Midnight Run and ThorR scratched that itch nicely. Didn't have problems with the humorous tone as others seemed to have. Sure, some scenes could have been milked for additional drama, but I was fine with what we got.

On another note, I enjoy Waititi's brand of humor a lot more than Gunn's. Gunn's humor in GotG2 mostly struck me as pointing and laughing at people, while Waititi's humor is more like taking a step back laughing with somebody together at the absurdity of a situation.

>If Fury/ScarJo/Cap relayed the info to him at all.

Yeah, because the foremost tech genius on the planet with an entire company of like-minded tech geniuses would have to be told a thing like that. I mean, it's not like Tony's a little paranoid and cagey about the government or anything, not like he'd have any interest at all in a bunch of classified dirt on both S.H.I.E.L.D. *and* HYDRA, you know, those guys they were using those selfsame leaked files to root out and eradicate at the beginning of Age of Ultron.

Hobbit 3 proves we don’t need more than ten minutes showing refugees get on a boat.

>Cap isn't a god, he's a human with flaws like everyone else

You're right, but the very things that make Cap who he is are his unwavering moral compass, leadership skills, and his keen understanding of people. All of those things are at odds with his decision to keep his suspicions(that are only just *barely* only suspicions considering his exchange with digi-Zola) to himself. Doing so only increases the odds of someone else telling Tony, or Tony finding out on his own, either of which just leave Cap looking like a liar. The odds of that happening only increase as time goes by.

>the absolute state of film critisism

this is only kinda related but I'm not gonna find a thread where it fits better

what was the big deal about the post-credit scene in avengers?
it wasn't that funny or clever yet everyone and their mother couldn't stop talking about it and referencing it
even the fucking restaurant couldn't keep the customers away after a scene with a bunch of people eating something

Korg

THOR HOME

I unironically think its the second best marvel movie (after winter soldier).

Simply because I was highly entertained throughout the entire movie. The story was good, although the execution could be better, it looked and sounded great (awesome music desu). Half the movie was quite original (Sakaar). And I like how nobody could beat Hela so they had to retreat.

Discuss

It actually was pretty good, I was entertained. I hadn't seen a capeshit movie since the Avengers 1 but my friends wanted to go. It pleasantly surprised me.

It was abysmally bad though
t. not a DC fag

*ring ring*
Hello, art department.
>Yeah hi, this is the producer's office. We were wondering if you could get a couple of extra guys on the poster.
Say no more.

This 100%.

> The way hela got killed

She didn't die on screen. She's not dead.

That was actually kind of shocking to me
"as long as the foundations are good..." (or whatever)
[asgard explodes]
"whoops, there goes the foundation!" (again, whatever)
[audience laughs]
[immediate cut to sad music and asgardians crying their lost home]

Civil War may very well be the first true contender for best new capeshit movie in the last decade. so now its

Batman The Dark Knight
Spider-Man 2
Civil War

nothing beats those. those are the fucking trinity of good cape shit. also deadpool was nice but i can't say that because it's normie fanbase makes it difficult to be a fan.

Oh my fucking god you're the first who agrees with me
Please be in netherlands I want to buy you a beer

>>Elder God tier
>Captain America: Civil War (2016)
This is true

>two in a row
I'm buying you a beer too

We should know pretty soon, if Blanchett's contract was one-off no one will bother keeping that secret for long.

10/10 casting

I would have been bored to death if i'd to watch another 'buhu my homeplanet is dead' scene. Waititty knows how to keep it fresh and didn't take it seriously. the quip was meh though

because funny ha ha quip mast mentioned shwarma or however it is fucking spelled and lefty new yorkers luv new york the only city on planet earth so they loved the mention of the great new ethnic food not by white people and that is was said in a funny way. Just look at the schaswan sauce from rick and morty, same thing.

sorry user, Texas.

Sad. Let's have some fun

Glorious. I need him back in another movie, possibly with Del Toro's Collector. And the melt stick.
