Blacklisted? Not really. He just bowed out for a while. He made a fucking killing in real estate, and has more than fuck you money combined with his Passion of Christ money. He's coming back on his terms. He blew their asses out with Hacksaw Ridge, and will continue to make great movies, and (they) will work with him, because of the money that can be made.

Which film would that be? All of his films, even the ones he made with Icon, had traditional Hollywood production behind them, from the film crews, distribution, and marketing, to the theaters they showed in.

The only time he went around Hollywood was to produce The Passion, but it was marketed and distributed by normal Hollywood channels.
