Fassbender could probably be great. Think he would be better as Irish or German Picard though.

Jason Statham
He's already an Englishman that's been cast as a Frenchman (The Transporter)

Tom Hardy

I'm not, stopped after 1 or 2 episodes.

Does anyone have the picture of a list of Star Trek episodes that says how good they are and how relevant they are? I saw it posted a few days ago and I meant to save it. I just started watching for the first time

You don't.

Any attempt to reboot TNG would be retarded from the outset. You have to ask yourself this question: What is the purpose of rebooting it?
To recapture the themes of the original?
Modern audiences aren't interested in that sort of premise, and the television studios won't accept anything that isn't STD-levels of high-drama and high-action. Say goodbye to long and intelligent discussions about ethics and philosophy, and replace it with non-stop Romulan and Borg action sequences. The characters that you know and love will be stripped of what made the originals great, and replaced with one-dimensional fan-service callbacks.

where did it all go so wrong

no seriously how can shit change so much in so little time

I luv it!
Get on it guys!
Let's make it more passionate and realistic like the new Battlestar Galctica!

Combination of a few factors I'd say:

1: The west is slowly getting dumber due to immigration and dysgenics

2: Modern technology has lowered the average person's attention span

3: More frequent and more advanced market analysis that interfer with the artist's vision

4: Higher dependence on foreign markets where cultural barriers create the need to bring things down to the lowest common denominator

Seth McFarlane

literally these

Best answer, he was his clone after all
